The main aim of the article is to examine the grammatical and stylistic functions of the predicative attribute in the poetic work of Nekrasov. The study contributes to the general ‘grammar of poetry’, which has been proposed and developed by Roman Jakobson. The study shows that Nekrasov often used the predicative attribute and it constitutes one of the specific features of his style. Grammatically extended adjectival, participial and adverbial phrases, frequent in Nekrasov’s poetry, cause additional predication, which makes it possible to expand the narrative. The predicative attribute often combines the functions of an attribute with those of the adverbial modifiers of cause and consequence, which gives additional impetus to the narrative plot development. The analysis shows that Nekrasov’s style is characterized by numerous long repetitions of functionally similar grammatical elements, taking several lines. These repetitions often set the rhythm and determine the folklore character of his poems. Аttributive chains, paired formulas, synonymization of lexemes in chains, repetitions, instrumental case in the meaning of comparison and metamorphosis can be found in classical pre-Nakrasov poetry as well. In Nekrasov’s poems these features appear in a concentrated, condensed form; they can be considered only against the background of his work as a whole.

Precedent phenomena in the poetic language world byYuri Andrukhovych: functional and typological peculiaritiesThe article deals with a detailed review and analysis of the peculiarities of precedent phenomena in the poetic work of Yuri Andrukhovych. The author concludes that in his poetry Yuri Andrukhovych has actively used precedent phenomena with different typological characteristics: on the precedentity level there are represented socio-precedent units, nationally precedent and universally precedent ones; on the verbalization form there are shown names anthroponyms, goronyms, oikonyms, urbanonyms, hydronyms, oronyms, theonyms, geortonyms, ekklesionyms, cosmonyms, statements, a text, and a situation; units of literary, biblical, mythological, folklore, historical and philosophical origin; on the basis of transformality there are found some examples which have not been modified while introduced into the poetry text, as well as those that function as modified variants obtained by structural and semantic truncation, addition, structural and graphic, and actually semantic modification; on the basis of attribution / non-tribution there are found units with attribution and without it, which constitute the majority of the analyzed examples. The mentioned precedent phenomena in the poetic texts by Yuri Andrukhovych perform the following functions: informative-signal, nominative, organizational and compositional, ludic, forecasting, characterizing and metaphoricizing ones. The foregoing gives grounds to assert that the analyzed precedent phenomena presented in the poetic works are their organic component, and represented as an active text-forming and stylistic unit.

This work analyzes Roman Jakobson's phonological survey, which was inspired by poetic texts, verse structure and direct observation of the work of certain poets. Changes in poetry, especially in the verse space, brought about a new view of the sounds in speech and their real linguistic (communicative) function. The survey will show that there is a lot of symmetry and regularity in grammatical opposition among various poets across different epochs and nations. In that way, a composition role of grammatical categories which recur or are contrasted was confirmed. Jakobson’s phonological survey can be a theoretical framework for methodological innovation in teaching grammar which correlates with teaching literature.

We present the modern views of literature studies scholars, linguists and culturologists on the concept of irony in a poetic work. We analyze different ways of expressing irony on the example of contemporary Russian-language poetry by D. Nakipov. We center on material of the research literature on the analysis of the text poetics and lyrical poems of the Russian-speaking poet of Kazakhstan. Research methods: we use the method of continuous sampling to establish elements of irony in poetic texts; component and semantic analysis is used to determine the ironic meaning at various levels of literary text: lexical, grammatical, syntactic. Conclusion: in the works of D. Nakipov irony conveys the inner attitude of the narrator to what is happening, his mood and feelings through pun, antiphrasis, changes in phraseology, the use of neologisms, etc. Different ways of expressing irony create an ironic worldview. The ironic appeal, promise, readdressing, common-language and individually-author’s words and expressions with an ironic tone serves several functions (emotive, expressive, characterological) and passes several meanings (state, attitude, influence, characterization).

The article is devoted to the study of the linguo-mental nature of the concept “native land” in the early poetic work of the well-known Ukrainian writer of the sixties V. Stus. The topicality of the theme, on the one hand, is determined by the linguo-conceptual and linguo- cultural approaches that are the key to understanding the cultural values of the people and make it possible to stratify the linguistic and cultural nature of individual concepts at different stages of language development and to establish the specifics of the linguistic personality, and, on the other, the research interest in the poetic heritage of V. Stus, an artist who became personification of his time. The collection “Winter Trees” was the material of the study, which presents an early, but important period of creativity of the poet, that remains little studied. The purpose of the article was to determine the linguo-cultural nature of the concept “native land”. The analysis showed the cognitive diversity of the concept, which is manifested by the branched system of verbalizers, including land, earth, Ukraine, state, etc., and its semantic-axiological characteristics. It is established that the artistic concept “native land” in Stus’s poetic texts is polysemantic and ambivalent, and its verbalisation demonstrated not only the general and ethnocultural understanding of the corresponding conceptualized image, but also the peculiarities of the author’s worldview. The presented research is actual as it activates scientific interest in other linguo-mental notions and not only in the work of V. Stus, which makes it possible to get deeper into the phenomenon of the Ukrainian linguistic personality.

This monograph deals with the problem of functioning peculiarities of graphic expressive means and grammar means in the language of modern Russian advertising. This research work treats the advertising discourse as a composite indirect speech act. Active use of adverbial modifiers of manner — deverbatives, elliptical and indefinite personal one-member sentences is characteristic of modern advertising texts. A most distinguishing feature of a modern advertising text is a mixture of Cyrillic and Latin fonts that contributes to the manifestation of an expressive potential of the application. The monograph is aimed at students of Philology, students major in Management and Marketing, masters, postgraduates, staff of higher educational establishments and all those who are interested in the Russian language.

This article is aimed at presenting a methodology for the conceptual analysis of poetic texts based on their lexical structure using the theory of communicative stylistics. The lexical structure of the literary text is considered to be a means of aсquainting the reader with the values manifested therein. The study of values intertwined within written works is particularly significant for the development of an axiological approach to teaching the Russian language. This article proposes a method for a sequential analysis of the lexical structure of a poetic text, which can be used at Russian language lessons.
