Combined with leadership, transformational entrepreneurship led to higher levels of creativity. In this business-related process, knowledge-based strategies have a vital role to play, as they enhance productivity, efficiency, and EBITDA. The objective of this chapter is to analyze which success factors grounded in knowledge-based strategies determine organizational development. To cope with this goal, the author examines how the Tecnológico de Monterrey (Mexico) achieves this objective through a complex entrepreneurial ecosystem described in the chapter. The main finding is that the creation of business incubators and accelerators in higher education institutions fosters transformational entrepreneurship, especially when are linked to technology parks.

Professional lecturers are lecturer professionalism that includes professionalism of teaching, research, and community service. The institution has the responsibility to develop the profession of the lecturer. An important step that can be done by higher education institutions is by developing lecturer profession guidance program covering the field of teaching, research, and community service. The program of developing and fostering the professionalism of the lecturers should be combined with the demands of science, technology, art that develops expansively and qualitatively. The development and professional development of this lecturer can be done through coaching programs based on institutional needs analysis. Programs can be said to succeed if in a lecturer there has been a process of transformation of the program. This transformation process can be seen from two things, namely: (1) improvement of ability in performing a task and (2) behaviour change which is reflected in attitude, discipline and work ethic.

One of the most promising ways to develop higher education institutions is University 3.0 (or an entrepreneurial university). Such a model is being introduced in seven Belarusian universities as part of a pilot project. The key direction in the transition to the models «University 3.0» is the creation of innovative infrastructure facilities, including science and technology parks, technology transfer centers, industry laboratories, and business incubators. In the article, the author analyzes the subjects of innovation infrastructure - the structure of Belarusian universities, reveals the role of such subjective factors in the development of models «University 3.0». Based on the presented research, the author offers recommendations on the development of the university's innovative infrastructure.

Sustainable development practices in higher education institutions are diverse, with regard not only to the types of challenges that have to be addressed, but also to the forms of sustainability governance adopted by individual higher education institutions. This paper aims to reflect on the aspects of organizational culture that are particularly crucial for the implementation of sustainable practices at higher education institutions. Specifically, it addresses the research question: how do different organizational cultures affect approaches to sustainability governance at higher education institutions (HEIs)? It reflects on data from multi-case studies at eleven German higher education institutions. Four of the cases are analyzed in this paper to draw out the insights they offer on how organizational culture shapes the institutions’ approach to sustainable development. A governance equalizer is used as a functional framework for evaluating and discussing the influence of different cultural orientations on sustainability governance. In addition to providing many insights and findings in relation to specific cases, comparison of the different institutions, their governance structures and their cultures of sustainable development helps to emphasize that there is no single cultural factor that can be identified as directly promoting particular governance structures. Rather, there is an active interplay between cultural orientations, which influence, and are also influenced by, the measures deployed. Such influence is not instantly apparent but needs time to develop, and it evolves in a variety of ways as illustrated by the case studies.

Abstract Ensuring gender equality in higher education system is high on the agenda worldwide particularly in science disciplines. This study explores the problems and prospects of gender equality in public higher education institutions of Ethiopia, especially in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Descriptive survey and analytical research methods were used in the study. Subjects of the study consisted of university instructors, higher education institutions gender affairs officers, and female students. Gender-related policy documents were also used as sources of data. Questionnaire, interviews, and documents analyses were employed as tools of data collection. The data were analysed using mixed methods. The study revealed a serious under representation of female students in science disciplines in the contemporary Ethiopian public higher learning institutions. The paper discusses both the core factors that discourage women from pursuing sciences and suggestions which may assist them join and succeed in sciences.
