The commercial introduction of Pt-Re supported catalysts to replace Pt alone on Al2O3 has brought improvements to naphtha reforming. The bimetallic catalyst can be operated continuously under conditions which lead to deactivation of the single metal catalyst by coke formation. Much disagreement still exists as to the exact nature of the bimetallic catalyst at a microscopic level and how it functions in the process so successfully. The overall purpose of this study was to develop the materials characterization tools necessary to study supported catalysts. Specifically with the Pt-Re:Al2O3 catalyst, we sought to elucidate the elemental distribution on the catalyst.

If the center pivot or linear moving irrigation machines are operated with their own individual irrigation technologies, but the irrigation machines with combined center-pivot and linear moving mode are operated on one field in turn as a center pivot and as a linear. The goal of this work is creation of theoretical base for calculation of improved irrigation machines parameters and existing irrigation equipment modernizing, according to the different natural conditions. The research object is investigation of characteristics of rain delivered from irrigation machines with combined center-pivot and linear moving mode, assuring uniform irrigation distribution according to the irrigation technology and operation parameters, size and configuration of seasonal norm as well as to the irrigation scheduling. The pointed goal is achieved by the given problem solving, when having basic data on the irrigation norm and time, as well as operation characteristics and the irrigation area configuration, the predicted hydro modulus are calculated for the irrigation machine working in a center pivot and in a linear mode. The simulation of sprinkling devices operation on the machine is made by one universal formula, when on the plots irrigated in center pivot and linear mode is achieved equality of arranged hydro modulus to the corresponding calculated data. At that, are considered all the possible combinations of the total irrigated area parts, irrigated with different technologies.

The assessment indices of surface layer effective state in machinery subjected to different ways of finishing are considered. The role of the dislocation restructurization process in the formation of operation characteristics of surface layer material quality and prediction of its working capacity is shown. A generalized quality index of multi-component functional layers formed on operation surfaces of machinery is described.

Identified the problem of increasing the efficiency of the collection device and the processing of information in telemetry monitoring systems and vibration diagnostics. The possibilities of CAD-programs for the calculation of vibro-impact processes and random vibration devices and printed circuit boards. A study of the frequency and random vibration study on the example of the PCB in SolidWorks environment. Abstract purpose, principle of operation, characteristics of the onboard telemetry information «Pyrite» system for measuring the parameters of aircraft, which are characterized by different phases and the duration of the flight telemetered site; It shows that the «Pyrite» equipment can be effectively used for the integrated telemetry information slowly evolving processes and rapidly changing processes of aircraft.

NiCuMoLaAl mixed oxide catalysts are prepared and applied in the steam reforming of chloroform-ethyl acetate (CHCl3-EA) mixture to syngas in the present work. The pre-introduction of Cl- ions using chloride salts as modifiers aims to improve the chlorine poisoning resistance. Catalytic tests show that KCl modification is obviously advantageous to increase the catalytic life. The destruction of catalyst structure induced by in situ produced HCl and carbon deposits that occurred on acidic sites are two key points for deactivation of reforming catalysts. The presence of Cl− ions gives rise to the formation of an Ni-Cu alloy, which exhibits a synergetic effect on catalyzing reforming along with metallic Ni crystals formed from excess nickel species, and giving an excellent catalytic stability. Less CHCl3 and more steam can also increase the catalytic stable time of KCl-modified NiCuMoLaAl reforming catalyst.

The induction generators (IGs) are basic to wind energy conversion. They produce the active power and consume the reactive power, with the voltage characteristics fragile compared with that of the synchronous generators and doubly-fed IGs. In the stressed system states, they may intensify var imbalance, yielding undesirable operation of zone 3 impedance relays. In this paper, the operation characteristics of the zone 3 relays in the wind power systems is studied. With the theoretical and load flow analysis, it is proved that the equivalent impedance of the IGs lies in the 2nd quadrature, possibly seen as the backward faults by the mho relays, i.e. the apparent impedance enters into the protection region from the left side. The undesirable operation may be caused by more wind power, larger load, less var compensation, and larger torque angle.
