PURPOSE: The disclosure of the content of the synergetic effect, as a result of network interactions of development institutions in a new economic virtual reality, and the presentation of the general characteristics of their relationships through knowledge of the functioning of clusters, which in the XXI century occurs during the digitalization of the economy, resulting in digital products/services and various platforms. METHODOLOGY: On the basis of dialectical, systemic and matrix methods and using the institutional-network approach, the characteristic features of network interactions of cluster formations in the conditions of virtual reality are studied, which are becoming the norm today, a good quality and effective rule for the practical implementation of various sectors of the economy in the course of digitalization of the economy. The method of comparison is used in terms of conditions for the formation of an innovation-digital cluster from the standpoint of the theory of institutionalism. FINDINGS: Network cooperation in the conditions of virtual reality demonstrates synergetic effects through new forms of qualitative accumulation and an increase of new knowledge, which occur through their network replication (division), and innovative growth is the result of the formation in the economy and society of a new, network model of coordination of connections, network cooperation of new quality, constantly adjusted by digital tools. The synergistic effect of networking creates a new phenomenon of growing marginal utility and growing marginal productivity from innovative glocalization and digital globalization. The greater the scale of innovation and digital activities is in the conditions of virtual reality, the greater the efficiency is of the use of additional resources. The effect of scale is especially pronounced within the network, which uses the standards produced and tested by it. IMPLICATIONS FOR THEORY AND PRACTICE: It is proved that the synergetic approach used in the formation and development of innovation-digital clusters is considered through the prism of the relationship “subject – subjective relationship of innovation-active organizations and digital enterprises.” In addition, in our case, this effect lies in the plane of restructuring the “old” development institutions in the “new”, under the influence of the relevant institutional and legal basis, systemic and comprehensive modernization and diversification of all sectors of production, improvement of the innovation and investment situation, construction of effective innovation and digital virtual-real infrastructure of the European standard, implementation of clustering of the economy using the opportunities of network cooperation.. ORIGINALITY AND VALUE: The content of a virtual slice of network interaction of cluster formations in the conditions of virtual reality offered by the authors is revealed; the authors’ vision of its structural elements is given, as from a digital network augmented and virtual socio-economic reality; the taxonomy and categorization of terminology with the help of which it is possible to reveal the formation of network cooperation in the conditions of virtual reality and its further development are investigated; on the basis of the conducted deep theoretical and methodological analysis and the presentation of a retrospective of innovation and digital changes, a step-by-step transformation of cluster formations is shown. The basis of network economy is network institutions, entities, organizations, in addition, it forms an environment in which any business entity or individual, which, no matter where it is in the economic system, has been able to communicate easily and at minimal cost with any other company or individual about working together, trading issues, or know-how, or just for fun in the conditions of the new virtual reality.

Despite the practical classes in laboratories and simulations, the traditional automation engineering teaching and learning process remains with little adherence to the reality professional. In this context, this research proposes a hybrid teaching and learning approach for subjects on software development of automation systems based on problems with virtual reality features and gamification strategies. Its main objective is to enhance the alignment between theory and practice, playfully and engagingly mirrored in the industry's need. The proposed approach was developed based on Design Science Research and evaluated in seven classes of an undergraduate subject from the perspective of students and industrial professionals. The results evidence the evolution of the approach over the time and the ability to promote the connection between theory and professional practice.

Teaching practice is the core component of whole teacher training process. This part not only allows prospective teachers to use their skills and enhance their abilities, but it also trains them for future job placement. Here the question arises that does teaching practice help prospective teachers to learn all teaching techniques, which is essential to gain mastery in teaching process or they get caught between the loopholes of theoretical ideal views and constraints of real classroom situations. The purpose of the study was to investigate the gap between theory taught during course-work and practical implementation of that knowledge during teaching practice. Another objective of the study was to assess the competency level of prospective teachers for teaching practice. It was hypothesized that prospective teachers do have sufficient content knowledge, awareness of pedagogical teaching strategies and teaching practice before the commencement of teaching practice. Sixty alumni of B.ED program, who passed out during last five years were randomly selected as samples for the following study. A structured questionnaire consisted of 25 items including content knowledge and understanding, pedagogical content knowledge, and application of gained knowledge and learned skills were designed to gather data. The questionnaire was based on a Lickert scale to gather responses. The data were analyzed by using the percentage method. After analysis of results, it can be recommended that teacher in-charges should also be assessed for their skills to apprise prospective teachers. Furthermore, there should be a comprehensive exam of prospective teachers before the commencement of teaching practice that should be designed and conducted under direct supervision of NACTE or its appointed team. It will be a great step to ensure quality teaching in teacher education programs.

The article discusses the principles of education for sustainable development and examples of their implementation in the context of the ecological culture formation. The subject of the study is environmental education for sustainable development. The aim of this research is to formulate the principles of education for sustainable development and to show the ways of their practical implementation. The research uses the comparative approach with elements of hypothetical-deductive analysis. As a result of the study, a set of interrelated principles determining education for sustainable development was defined: continuity, inclusiveness, interdisciplinarity, integration, unity of theory and practice. The results of this study can be used in educational practice in the creation and implementation of curricula and courses, as methodological recommendations for the work of volunteer organizations and educational environmental activities. The results can be used in the sustainable development programs designed by the administrative authorities. Environmental education is an important tool for implementing the concept of sustainable development. Thus, the outlined educational principles should become the basis of educational practices and technologies aimed at the formation of ecological culture and the ecologization of consciousness.

Abstract CO2-assisted co-gasification of binary mixtures of pinewood pellets (PWP) and two kinds of plastics polyethylene-terephthalate (PET) and high-density polyethylene (HDPE) were examined at 800 °C using a fixed bed reactor. Evolutionary behavior and yields of CO, H2, and CmHn were investigated for both individual feedstock and binary mixtures of biomass and plastic. Synergetic effects in co-gasification of mixtures under CO2 atmosphere were analyzed and compared between experimental and calculated results. The results showed that PET and HDPE although had similar behavior in gasification, they provided many different characteristics on blending with solid biomass in CO2-assisted co-gasification. Both PWP–PET mixture and PWP–HDPE mixture showed positive effects on hydrocarbons yield and negative effects on solid yield. For PWP–PET mixture, H2 yield showed no change compared to the calculated value; however, CO yield and CO2 consumption showed negative effects due to the blocked porosity of solid biomass from the softened PET. For PWP–HDPE mixture, H2 yield showed significant enhancement compared to the calculated value, and CO yield showed slight enhancement but a slight reduction in CO2 consumption. It was also observed that the experimental CmHn yields obtained from biomass-plastics mixtures were of higher values than the calculated values. The morphologies of solid residues for PWP, PET, PWP–PET, and PWP–HDPE were analyzed and taken as a supplement to explain the synergetic effects in the co-gasification process. These results provide an insight into energy recovery and waste treatment potential for both biomass and waste plastic using thermochemical conversion.

AbstractThe network perspective of a business model provides an attractive outlook on the interactions and interdependencies of its components. The network is a “living organism,” it changes constantly and dynamically. Therefore, the key nodes in the network, and their potential loss, may be of vital importance to the network itself. The paper presents the network of relations between the components of a company business model operating in a sector of new technologies – virtual reality – and indicates the prominent and most influential nodes in the network that can affect value creation. The authors analyzed the influence exerted by a key node that has been eliminated from the network on the remaining structure, based on the immediate impact (change analysis), which computes the key nodes of the network and then isolates them individually to determine the effect on measured values. The primary research approach is an organizational network analysis (mostly centrality measures) and a simulation functionality used for determining measures and visualization, before and after changes. The results indicate the level of centrality measures of all nodes in the network (a virtual reality company’s business model), their interdependence, and the dynamics of their change. The paper concludes with implications for theory and practice, limitations, and directions for further research.

Three different kinds of Al2O3 have been added to HZSM-5 for improving its activity towards selective catalytic reduction of NO with CH4 in the presence of excess of oxygen. Higher conversions of NO have been observed for all of the three mixed catalysts, the conversion of which were also found to be higher than that of each separate component of the catalysts. It was concluded that there exists a synergetic effect between Al2O3 and HZSM-5. The addition of Al2O3 can improve the catalytic activity of HZSM-5 by inhibiting the decomposing of NO2 to NO and accelerating the activation of methane. Adsorbed NO2 is then reduced by the activated methane or the intermediates formed from activated methane to N2 over the Brønsted site of zeolite.
