The pressure to publish or so called rule of 'publish or perish' is now pervasive in many universities and research institutes. The development of worldwide scale bibliometric tools now allows for monitoring of the scientific production of individuals, by scientists and non-scientists alike. On the basis of few examples from the literature and my personal experience I will discuss the side effects on such development on the way research and education are prioritized and conducted in natural sciences and how this may be connected to the rapid increase in the number of scientific journals, often with open access policies.

The first organizational form of the existence of religious science in Ukraine was the 1931 Anti-Religious Sector, which was formed in Kharkov as a part of the Institute of Philosophy and Natural Sciences of the All-Ukrainian Association of Scientific Research Institutes. His work was led by well-known sociologist D. Ignatyuk. In the sector worked I. Elvin, M. Krivohatsky, P. Chernitsov, O. Chefranov. The scientific production of the sector was published in magazines and published in separate brochures. Since 1937, after the abolition of Wandy and the transfer of its institutes to the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in this area, scientists of the philosophical commission of the socio-economic department of the ANU worked. We note the fact that at that time the development of knowledge about religion in the academic system was completely subordinated to the task of disseminating anti-religious knowledge and substantiating the ideologized "opium" assessments of religion.

Resumo: Os repositórios têm se tornado comum nas universidades e institutos de pesquisa, como forma de ofertar acesso à produção científica e, com isso, dar visibilidade à instituição. Entretanto, em muitos casos ainda estão restritos aos conceitos do movimento do arquivo aberto e acesso aberto, sendo que já se discute o Movimento da Ciência Aberta, revelando certo descompasso, requerendo estudos que apoiem a atualização dessa importante ferramenta. Nesse sentido, o presente estudo verifica os requisitos envolvidos nos movimentos abertos, de forma a apoiar a discussão técnica e tecnológica. Um estudo bibliográfico, que transforma as informações sobre os movimentos em critérios para avaliação de ferramentas para criação de repositórios, apresentando a implementação da interação como um novo desafio. Nas considerações procura-se contribuir com a discussão sobre a Ciência Aberta, de forma mais aplicada bem como o ajuste dos repositórios a esse movimento.Palavras-chave: Repositórios.  Critérios de avaliação. Ciência aberta.SURVEY OF CRITERIA FOR EVALUATION OF REPOSITORY TOOLS ACCORDING TO OPEN SCIENCE Abstract: Repositories have become common in universities and research institutes, as a way of offering access to scientific production, thereby giving visibility to the institution. Meanwhile, in many cases, repositories are restricted to the concepts of open movement and open access considering that the Open Science Movement is already being discussed. Regarding this matter, this study verifies the requirements involved in the open movements, in order to support a technical and technological discussion.  A bibliographic study that transforms information about movements into criteria to evaluate tools used to create repositories, presenting an implementation of interaction as a new challenge. In the considerations, we contribute with a discussion about an Open Science, in a more applied way, as well as the adjustment of the repositories to this movement.Keywords: Repositories. The founders of Krisis saw their journal as part of Rudi Dutschke’s ‘long march through the institutions’: a philosophical journal that would criticize and change the practices and institutions of academic philosophy from within. Philosophy should play a critical and emancipatory role in society and in intellectual and public debates, and the journal could help to enhance that role. Academic philosophy did change, but in a rather different direction: new public management took over and submitted academic research and education to a new regime of entrepeneurial efficiency and disciplinary competition. To survive, Krisis metamorphosized several times and is now a broad bilingual online journal for intellectual debate and research with a loose relationship with academic philosophy. If it strengthens this identity, it can continue to play an intermediary role between academic research and public debate, in both directions

A permacultura é um movimento internacional de pessoas, organizadas em comunidades ecológicas, que se engajam em buscar outras formas de produção e consumo mais sustentáveis. No contexto educacional este modelo de (com)viver é fundamento de projetos de escolas que buscam ressignificar seus tempos, espaços e relações sociais a partir práticas sustentáveis. Neste cenário, por meio de uma pesquisa de estado da arte, objetivamos caracterizar compreensões e métodos das pesquisas sobre práticas educativas em permacultura na escola, divulgadas na produção científica brasileira. O conhecimento sistematizado permite apontar lacunas e oportunizar reflexões para novas investigações, contribuindo para repensar o cotidiano escolar, ampliar referências e mobilizar para construção de uma rede de conhecimentos integrados entre a pesquisa acadêmica, a escola e as comunidades na direção de uma cultura permanente de relações sustentáveis. The Permaculture is an international movement of peoples, organized in ecological communities, which are engaged in seeking other forms of more sustainable production and consumption. In the educational context this model of (co)living is the foundation of projects of schools that seek to re-signify their times, spaces and social relations from sustainable practices. In this scenario, through state-of-the-art research, we aim to characterize understandings and methods of research on educational practices in permaculture at school, disseminated in Brazilian scientific production. Systematized knowledge allows us to point out gaps and to provide reflections for new research, contributing to rethinking school daily life, expanding references and mobilizing to build a network of integrated knowledge between academic research, school and communities towards a permanent culture of relationships sustainable development. La permacultura es un movimiento internacional de personas, organizadas en comunidades ecológicas, que se dedican a buscar otras formas de producción y consumo más sostenibles. En el contexto educativo este modelo de (con) vivir es fundamento de proyectos de escuelas que buscan resignificar sus tiempos, espacios y relaciones sociales a partir de prácticas sustentables. En este escenario, por medio de una investigación de estado del arte, pretendemos caracterizar comprensiones y métodos de las investigaciones sobre prácticas educativas en permacultura en la escuela, divulgadas en la producción científica brasileña. El conocimiento sistematizado permite apuntar lagunas y oportunizar reflexiones para nuevas investigaciones, contribuyendo a repensar el cotidiano escolar, a ampliar referencias y movilizar para la construcción de una red de conocimientos integrados entre la investigación académica, la escuela y las comunidades hacia una cultura permanente de relaciones sostenibles.

Resumo O entendimento das causas e as principais razões que influenciam o modo como os pesquisadores se articulam e constroem suas redes de colaboração científica ainda é uma questão em aberto na pesquisa acadêmica. De fundamental importância para o desenvolvimento de novos indicadores e modos de avaliação da produção científica, o conceito de redes sociais permite operar novos planos de análise, contribuindo com seus aspectos estruturais e dinâmicos ao estudo dos mecanismos e gatilhos causais que levam à constituição dessas redes de colaboração científica. A obtenção de atributos individuais dos pesquisadores, de dados de constituição das redes ao longo do tempo e o modo de desambiguação dos nomes que compõem essas redes de colaboração têm se mostrado os principais desafios de estudos das redes. O objetivo deste artigo é descrever como concebemos uma maneira de estudar as redes de colaboração de uma universidade, com foco específico na Universidade de São Paulo, identificando suas principais estratégias de conectividade e mecanismos causais, além de encontrar as relações entre suas redes e diferentes níveis de produtividade científica de seus participantes. Vale frisar que o artigo apenas descreve as questões da pesquisa e o modo de tratá-las, ficando sua execução para os próximos passos deste trabalho de pesquisa. Para tanto, pretende utilizar como base de análise uma Biblioteca de Produção Científica Institucional em desenvolvimento pelo SiBi/USP, que coleta os artigos publicados por membros da universidade em bases de dados de indexação de revistas nacionais e internacionais, tais como Scielo, Web of Science e BioMed, além da utilização da base de dados institucional para obtenção dos atributos individuais dos pesquisadores participantes dessas redes de colaboração.Palavras-chave análise de redes sociais, indicadores, cientometria, modelos causais.Abstract The understanding of the causes that influence how researchers articulate and build their scientific collaboration networks is still an open question in academic research. Of fundamental importance for the development of new indicators and methods of evaluation of scientific literature, the concept of social networking helps operate new levels of analysis, contributing their structural and dynamic aspects to the study of causal mechanisms and triggers that lead to the formation of these networks of scientific collaboration. Obtaining attributes of individual researchers, data on the constitution of networks over time and mode of disambiguation of the names that make up these collaboration networks have been the main challenges in the area of research networks. The purpose of this article is to describe how we designed a way to study a university’s collaboration networks, focusing on the University of São Paulo, and identifying their key strategies, connectivity and causal mechanisms, as well as finding links between their networks and different levels of participants’ productivity. It should be noted that this article only describes the research questions and how to treat them, leaving their implementation to the next steps of this research. The database used for analysis was the Institutional Scientific Production being developed by Sibi/USP, which collects articles published by members of the university indexed in national and international databases such as Scielo, Web of Science and BioMed, as well as an institutional database to obtain the individual attributes of the researchers participating in these networks.Keywords social network analysis, indicators, scientometrics, causal model

Purpose This paper aims to examine the state of the art in electronic records management (ERM) with the goal of identifying the prevailing research topics, gaps and issues in the field. Design/methodology/approach First, a wide search was performed on academic research databases, limited to the period between 2008–2018. Second, the search results were reviewed for relevance and duplicates. Finally, the study sources were checked against the list of journals and conferences ranked by computing research and education and JourQual. The final sample of 55 selected studies was analyzed in depth. Findings ERM has lost some research momentum due to being deeply embedded in affiliate information systems areas and the changing records management landscape. Additionally, the requirement models specified by Governmental/National Archives might have constrained technology innovation in ERM. A lack of application was identified for the social media research area. Research limitations/implications Limitations were encountered in available search tool functionality and keyword confusion leading to inflated search results. While effort has been made to obtain optimal search results, some relevant articles may have been omitted. Originality/value The last ERM state-of-the-art review was in 1997. A lot has changed since then. This paper will help researchers understand the current state of ERM research, its understudied areas and identify gaps for future studies.

In this article, an incubator platform concept is presented to demonstrate the authors’ approach in meeting the enormous challenges faced by future multidisciplinary research and education. The abstraction level of laboratory projects needs to be raised to a level where the researchers and students have the opportunity to deal with hands-on real-life system-level problems and decisions, while simultaneously various fundamental key technologies of the information society are integrated into the systems. Their approach is concretized by an Incubator experimental platform. Facilitated by this environment, researchers, engineers and students can join their efforts in developing next-generation products in a well-organized manner. The targeted products must meet the increasingly important special characteristics required for the digital era – self- and context-awareness, built-in information security, distributed networking, enormous scalability and device interoperability. Many projects are today developed by distributed multicultural teams, so it is a necessity that the development can also be implemented in co-operation of several universities in different countries, in order to promote the career skills of the students. The incubator platform proposed in this article is able to provide viable answers and solutions to all the mentioned challenges in engineering research and education, coupling the curriculum tightly to top-class academic research.

While reliving traumatic events may initially feel agonizing, writing down our worst experiences can also offer a way to cope with some of life’s horrors. The following narrative presents and describes how one grieving mother harnessed autoethnography to process her profound grief. The researcher draws on personal experience losing her son, chronicling her thoughts and feelings in grief journals, and eventually compiling autoethnographic field notes and reflections. This article helps support the argument that weaving personal experiences with academic research can reveal an understanding of complex, painful issues, such as death, grief, and traumatic loss. The author recommends similar strategies for others examining difficult topics, as this method reveals insights about difficult experiences without infringing on the pain of other subjects.
