Purpose Due to a staggering growth rate in the recent past, halal products have attained a significant attention of marketers across countries. However, marketing practitioners seek to have detailed understanding of what drives consumers of different demographics towards this product category so as to better market and position themselves in the competitive landscape. Correspondingly, this study aims to provide insights into the Muslim women consumers’ halal cosmetics purchase behaviour and examines the variables (and their interplay) when purchasing such products. Design/methodology/approach The data for the study were collected through a self-administered questionnaire from 371 Muslim respondents from India. The data were analysed through structural equation modelling using AMOS 22.0 SEM software. Findings The findings of this study reveal that religious knowledge, religious commitment and halal certification(s) affect consumers’ actual purchase behaviour of halal cosmetics, which subsequently drives their repurchase intention. The findings further reveal a non-significant effect of religious orientation with both the actual purchase behaviour and repurchase intention towards halal cosmetics. Additionally, actual purchase behaviour of halal cosmetics is found to positively affect customers’ repurchase intentions. Originality/value Despite the recent growth of overall beauty industry, this particular segment of halal cosmetics has a huge potential given the phenomenal preference that Muslim consumers have shown in such niche. Therefore, this paper contributes towards examining the key factors influencing consumers purchase behaviour towards halal cosmetics in India that can be capitalized on.

Ma'had is part of an institution that has noble hopes to produce a generation of people who specialize in religious education. Because it is the main source of religious knowledge and a place for moral development of students. In this case, Ma'had al-Jamiah Walisongo became one of the successors to raise the spirit of students (students) under the auspices of the Walisongo State Islamic University, Semarang. The role of Ma'had al-Jami'ah Walisongo is very relevant to the discourse on developing the quality of students who are integrative between intellectuals and morals. Through the Islamic-based ma'had curriculum, rahmatan Lil 'Alamin focuses more on classical book education and the development of students' talents and morals which are the strengths of UIN Walisongo Semarang Education to erode the problems of liberal and radical understanding and free morals that are controlled by the modernization of knowledge among teenagers. This paper tries to contribute thoughts towards the development of Islamic-based education rahmatan lil 'Alamin which leads to the intellectual, spiritual and moral integration of students to answer the challenges of modernizing the development of science that continues to develop at this time.Ma’had merupakan bagian lembaga yang memiliki harapan budi luhur untuk mencetak generasi bangsa yang mengkhususkan dirinya pada pendidikan keagamaan. Karena itu menjadi sumber utama pengetahuan agama dan tempat pembinaan moral anak didik. Dalam hal ini Ma’had al-Jamiah Walisongo menjadi salah satu penerus untuk membangkitkan semangat anak didik (mahasiswa) yang berada dalam naungan Universitas Islam negeri Walisongo Semarang. Peran Ma’had al-Jami’ah Walisongo sangat relevan dengan wacana pengembangan kualitas mahasiswa yang bersifat integrative antara intelektual dan moral. Melalui kurikulum ma’had yang berbasis Islam rahmatan Lil ‘Alamin lebih mengfokuskan pada Pendidikan kitab klasik dan pengembangan bakat dan akhlak mahasiswa yang menjadi kekuatan Pendidikan UIN Walisongo Semarang untuk mengikis problematika paham liberal dan radikal serta bebas moral yang dikuasai oleh arus modernisasi pengetahuan dikalangan remaja. Tulisan ini mencoba memberikan sumbangsih pemikiran kearah pengambangan Pendidikan berbasis Islam rahmatan lil ‘Alamin yang mengarah kepada integrasi intelektual, spiritual dan moral mahasiswa untuk menjawab tantangan modernisasi pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan yang terus berkembang saat ini.

AbstractThis Chapter investigates an extraordinary group of company agents who have often been overlooked, but were ubiquitous in overseas corporate life; the chaplain. It provides a detailed assessment of the daily lives and responsibilities of chaplains. Moreover, it traces how they became important figures of control who policed over the spiritual and earthly lives of personnel in religiously and governmentally diverse environments of India, the Levant and Japan. This chapter examines how corporate chaplains, such as Edward Terry, Edward Pococke and Patrick Copeland, became instrumental figures in establishing corporate authority, and thereby commercial success, in this period. Furthermore, it reveals, through their published works, such as Terry’s, A Voyage to East-India, Lord’s, A display of two forraigne sects and the letters and works of Pococke, the essential role chaplains played in the corporate exchange of ideas and religious knowledge overseas. Finally, this chapter highlights how, throughout much of its existence, the LC and, for a small period, the EIC’s government, helped to inform the flexible process of how companies established corporate governance abroad and how they interacted with peoples, faiths and cultures.

<p class="abstrak">This research focuses on describing the implementation of Islamic spiritual care of the clinical nursing students at the State Islamic University (UIN). The implementation of Islamic spiritual care has not been done well by nurses. Clinical nursing students are the forerunners of nurses, but no one has examined the description of the application of Islamic spiritual care carried out by clinical nursing students in State Islamic University (UIN). This research method was descriptive quantitative. Samples were students of the clinical nursing students of UIN Jakarta and UIN Alauddin Makassar, 40 respondents. The results showed that most respondents applied Islamic spiritual care well (52.5%). The most well-implemented component is instilling optimism for healing that comes from God (60%). Students need to improve their self-competence in Islamic religious knowledge to become more competent in providing Islamic care to patients. The head of the clinical nursing program needs to emphasize efforts to increase Islamic spiritual competence in the clinical practice setting of learning guidelines through the guidance process and learning achievement targets.</p><p><em>Penelitian ini berfokus untuk mengetahui penerapan perawatan spiritual Islam mahasiswa Ners di Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN). Penerapan asuhan keperawatan secara holistik khususnya dalam aspek spiritual karena masih sangat minim </em><em>dilakukan oleh perawat di tatanan pelayanan keperawatan.</em><em> Mahasiswa merupakan cikal bakal perawat dan peneliti belum menemukan penelitian tentang penerapan perawatan Islam oleh mahasiswa Ners di lingkungan UIN.</em><em> </em><em>Metode yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif kuantitatif. Sampel yang digunakan yaitu mahasiswa Ners UIN Jakarta dan UIN Makassar masing-masing 40 responden. Hasil menunjukkan sebagian responden menerapkan perawatan spiritual Islam dengan baik (52,5%). Komponen yang paling banyak diterapkan dengan baik yaitu menanamkan optimisme kesembuhan yang datang dari Allah (60%). Mahasiswa perlu meningkatkan kompetensi diri dalam ilmu agama islam sehingga menjadi lebih kompeten dalam mebrikan perawatah islam kepada paeien, program studi Ners perlu lebih menekankan pada upaya peningkatan kompetensi spiritual islam pada tatanan praktik klini pedoman pembelajaran, melalui proses bimbingan maupu target capaian pembelajaran.</em></p>

<p>This article aims to examine the role of <em>pesantren</em> (Indonesian Islamic boarding schools) in West Sumatra in countering religious radicalism. The two <em>pesantren</em> used as case studies are the Pesantren Sumatera Thawalib Parabek Banuhampu and the Perguruan Islam Darul Muwahhidin Panyalaian West Sumatra. This issue is critical to reveal because radicalism targets adults and Islamic boarding school students who are in the process of deepening and understanding religious knowledge. The existence of <em>pesantren</em> in educating students and instilling friendly Islamic values has become a little disturbed by the issue of radicalism which has spread to <em>pesantren</em>. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a historical approach. The reality that occurs in the <em>pesantren</em> is revealed along with the history and background of the establishment of the <em>pesantren</em>. The results of this study indicate that the learning system in <em>pesantren</em> can counteract radicalism through several things, including strengthening the capacity of students, reviewing the curriculum, enlightening teachers and employees regarding radicalism, and having a friendly and tolerant environment for students.</p><p><em>Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran pesantren di Sumatra Barat dalam menangkal paham radikalisme agama. Dua pesantren yang dijadikan studi kasus adalah Pondok Pesantren Sumatra Thawalib Parabek Banuhampu dan Perguruan Islam Darul Muwahhidin Panyalaian Sumatra Barat. Isu ini penting diungkap karena radikalisme ternyata tidak hanya menyasar orang dewasa namun juga santri pesantren yang sedang berproses dalam mendalami dan memahami ilmu agama. Keberadaan pesantren dalam mendidik santri dan menanamkan nilai-nilai Islam yang ramah menjadi sedikit terganggu dengan adanya isu radikalisme telah menjalar ke pesantren. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan historis, realitas yang terjadi di pesantren diungkap bersamaan dengan histori dan latar belakang berdirinya pesantren. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sistem pembelajaran di pesantren dapat menangkal radikalisme melalui beberapa hal, di antaranya: penguatan kapasitas santri, peninjauan kurikulum, pencerahan bagi guru dan pegawai terkait radikalisme dan adanya lingkungan yang ramah dan toleran bagi santri.</em></p>

<p><span>This research focuses on the strategy of public figures who develop religious content in order to spread religious values </span><span>among the millennial generation, especially during the pandemic.  The rampant use of the TikTok platform during the COVID-19 pandemic was not only deployed as an entertainment medium but was also used by many people to be able to spread propaganda and missions to disseminate religious values </span><span>among the millennial generation. This is due to the popularity of that platform has skyrocketed, making some content creators and public figures develop the marketing of their ideological values </span><span>on social media. By using the theory of social change and the concept of the development of communication, the authors try to analyze the phenomena that in question. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with the TikTok application observation technique and seeks to explore various information in depth to find various facts that can explain this phenomenon. We also found that millennials who use the TikTok platform often start to look at various religious content and some are even active in filling the content because they are inspired by public figures who spread similar content. Moreover, some lecturers often provide religious information using music or duet features so as to encourage application users to spread religious teachings and share religious knowledge.<strong></strong></span></p><p><em><span lang="IN">Penelitian ini berfokus pada strategi tokoh masyarakat yang mengembangkan konten religi dalam rangka menyebarkan nilai-nilai agama di kalangan generasi milenial, terutama di masa pandemi. Maraknya penggunaan platform TikTok di masa pandemi COVID-19 tidak hanya dijadikan sebagai media hiburan tetapi juga dimanfaatkan oleh banyak orang untuk bisa menyebarkan dakwah dan misi penyebarluasan nilai-nilai agama di kalangan generasi milenial. Hal ini dikarenakan popularitas platform tersebut yang meroket, membuat beberapa content creator dan public figure mengembangkan pemasaran nilai-nilai ideologisnya di media sosial. Dengan menggunakan teori perubahan sosial dan konsep perkembangan komunikasi, peneliti mencoba menganalisis fenomena yang terjadi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik observasi aplikasi TikTok dan berupaya menggali berbagai informasi secara mendalam sehingga mampu menemukan berbagai fakta yang dapat menjelaskan fenomena tersebut. Kami juga menemukan bahwa generasi milenial yang menggunakan platform TikTok sering mulai melihat berbagai konten religi dan bahkan ada yang aktif mengisi konten tersebut karena terinspirasi oleh tokoh masyarakat yang menyebarkan konten serupa. Apalagi beberapa dosen sering memberikan informasi agama dengan menggunakan fitur musik atau duet sehingga mendorong pengguna aplikasi untuk dapat menjalankan ajaran agama dan membagikan ilmu agama</span></em></p>

 In continental philosophy of religion, the hermeneutics of narratives takes a central role. Analytic philosophy of religion, on the other hand, considers religious statements mostly as assertions of fact. It examines the logical form and semantics of religious statements, addresses their logical commitments, and examines their epistemological status. Using the example of a passage in the Book of Job, it is investigated whether the methods of analytic philosophy are also suitable for analyzing religious narratives. The question is explored whether there is a genuine form of knowledge, besides propositional factual knowledge, which is bound to the form of narration. Particular attention will be paid to the inter-personal pragmatic embeddedness of narratives. The connection between second-personal knowledge and narratives is examined. Using the historical example of Ignatius of Loyola's theory of religious knowledge, it is argued that propositional argumentative knowledge is only one form of religious knowledge among others. The others are second-personal and narrative in character. Having thus established this distinct form of knowledge, it is asked whether our best empirical knowledge of the neurophysiological basis of intuitive and non-argumentative cognition provides a foundation for better understanding inter-personal religious cognition within narratives.

Religious expressions in rural areas is no longer a problem with the diversity it has. The social reality in Pangedaran Village is very concerning, various problems such as the education rate is very low, knowledge support activities are very minimal, even the drugs abuse is common in the village. the social setting accompanies the da'wah activities of the taklim, which demands that the recitation can fill Islamic knowledge and religious experience and the congregation's spiritual care. Thus, it is important to reveal the da'wah activities in the recitation in caring for the congregation's spirituality to pacify the human ego as spiritual beings. The purpose of this study is to explain the rituals, experiences of members in carrying out the routines of the taklim assembly to care for the spirituality of the congregation. Qualitative methods and descriptive analysis were used to complete and obtain relevant research results. Utilizing observation, in-depth interviews and documentation to support the data to answer the main questions of this research. The findings of this study, explained that the activities of the taklim assembly in caring for the congregation's spirituality were carried out by implementing dhikr, eradicating illiteracy, filling in religious knowledge, recitation rituals, reading prayers, it were done consistently.. it provide opportunities for social interaction and support the spiritual care of the congregation with social activities that form social capital so that they enter the gemeinschaft of mind group that has the same drive and motive, namely the spiritual instability of the congregation.   Melihat ekspresi keagamaan di pedesaan sudah tidak menjadi persoalan dengan keberagaman yang dimilikinya. Realitas sosial di Desa Pangedaran sangat memprihatinkan, berbagai persoalan seperti angka pendidikan sangat rendah, aktivitas pendukung pengetahuan sangat minim, bahkan maraknya narkoba sudah menjadi rahasia umum di Desa tersebut. Setting sosial demikian mengiringi aktivitas dakwah majelis taklim, yang menuntut pengajian dapat mengisi pengetahuan keislaman dan pengalaman keagamaan dan perawat ruhani jemaah. Dengan demikian penting untuk mengungkap aktivitas dakwah dalam pengajian tersebut dalam merawat ruhani jemaah dapat menentramkan ego manusia sebagai makhluk spiritual dan landasan aritkel ini. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menjelaskan ritual, pengalaman anggota dalam menjalankan rutinitas majelis taklim untuk merawat kerohanian jemaah. Metode kualitatif dan menganalisis secara deskriptif digunakan untuk menyelesaikan dan memperoleh hasil penelitian yang relevan. Memanfaatkan observasi, wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi dalam mendukung informasi atau data akurat untuk menjawab pertanyaan utama dari penelitian ini. Hasil dan diskusi pada temuan penelitian ini, menjelaskan bahwa aktivitas majelis taklim dalam merawat ruhani jemaah dilakukan dengan pelaksanaan zikir, pengentasan buta aksara, mengisi pengetahuan keagamaan, ritual-ritual pengajian, pembacaan do’a, amalan-amalan dan selawat dilakukan secara konsisten. Rutinitas jemaah memberi peluang interaksi sosial dan mendukung perawatan ruhani jemaah dengan kegiatan sosial yang membentuk modal sosial sehingga mereka masuk ke dalam kelompok gemeinschaft of mind yang memiliki dorongan dan motif sama, yaitu ketidakstabilan spiritual atau ruhani jemaah.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah program praktikum agama islam mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan agama islam pada Mahasiswa Baru Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik angkatan 2019. Metode penelitian ini adalah eksperimen menggunakan teknik sempel sampling purposive. Sampel penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik angkatan 2019 sejumlah 30 mahasiswa. Desain penelitian pra eksperimen yaitu one group pretest posttest design. Teknik analisa statsitik yaitu uji paired sample t-test. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa program praktikum agama islam dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan agama islam, hal tersebut berdasarkan menggunakan uji paired sample t-test diperoleh nilai p = 0.000 hal ini menandakan bahwa p < 0.05 dan nilai nilai t = -7.482 (>-1.96). Sehingga hipotesis H1 diterima yang artinya subjek yang diberikan program praktikum agama Islam mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan agama islam. This research aims to find out whether the Islamic religious practicum program can increase islamic religious knowledge in the New Students of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences class of 2019. This research method is an experiment using purposive sampling techniques. This research sample is a student of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences class of 2019 numbering 30 students. Pre-experimental research design is one group pretest posttest design. Statsitic analysis technique is a paired sample t-test test. The results of this study showed that islamic practicum programs can increase islamic religious knowledge, it is based on using a paired sample t-test obtained a value of p = 0.000 this indicates that p < 0.05 and a value of t = -7,482 (>-1.96). So that the H1 hypothesis is accepted which means that the subject given by the Islamic practicum program has increased islamic religious knowledge.

Currently, the study of religious knowledge is carried out mainly within the framework of religious epistemology, which does not exclude its consideration from the standpoint of a non-cognitive approach, for example, fideism. However, the greatest interest is in cognitivism, whose proponents explore the problems of religious knowledge using a number of standards of classical epistemology, yet at the same time modify them, creating standards of religious epistemology proper. One of the authors who develop this direction is J. Greco, who continues the tradition of studying evidence ("testimonial evidence") and its role in the formation and functioning of religious consciousness. In an effort to organize witness knowledge, he tries to typologize it, distinguishing, on the one hand, knowledge presented as a set of witness data, and, on the other hand, as knowledge transmitted and assimilated in the processes of communication that take place, for example, within a religious community. J. Greco criticizes the arguments of skeptics who claim that it is impossible that the evidence can serve as a sufficient basis for religious belief. The article emphasizes the simplicity of such an approach, since J. Greco does not distinguish the types of knowledge that are formed as a result of evidence (in particular, reflexive and value-based knowledge, which are formed and assimilated in different ways), which are different in their epistemological characteristics. At the same time, he focuses on a problem that is significant not only for religious, but also for classical epistemology, namely, the influence of the moral authority of a particular form of comprehension of being (science, religion, etc.) and its specific representatives who develop the relevant knowledge on the assimilation of certain epistemic truths by both specialized communities (for example, the scientific community) and society as a whole. The philosophical arguments of J. Greco shows that the theme of religious evidence within the framework of classical epistemology is not reduced to banal statements that they do not meet the criteria generated by scientific knowledge. These reflections touch upon a number of topics relevant to this epistemology. At the same time, these arguments point to the need to develop a religious epistemology based on the specifics of religious knowledge with its own verification criteria and methodology for obtaining it.
