This study adopted a descriptive survey design to assess the extent of systems performance processes of Caraga State University in Butuan City, Mindanao, Philippines with the aim of gauging the extent of systems performance processes as rated by 164 respondents consisting of 38 Administrators, 71 Faculty Members and 55 Non-academic Staff. Results show that the school’s extent of systems performance processes was moderately achieved. The different perception of respondents on the extent of systems performance processes shows incongruence of perceptions among administrators, faculty and staff that leads to the gap in understanding the degree of university performance with regards to the financial aspects, customer satisfaction, internal business process efficiency and learning and innovation. The school needs to improve its processes especially its processes on customer satisfaction, internal business process efficiency and learning and innovation to improve its financial performance. Keywords - Systems Performance Processes, Customer Satisfaction, Internal Business Process Efficiency, Learning and Innovation.

The objective of the research is to evaluate performance of Madubaru firm. This research use the methode of Balanced Scorecard which balancing measurement of non finance performance and finance performance. In the perspective learning and growth emphasize on the education and employees training, and also employees satisfaction. In the perspective of internal business process, it emphasize at the the level of success and organizational development. In perspective of customer emphasize at the customer satisfaction. In perspective of finance can see from finance ratio. The research have result learning and growth perspective with good performance, internal business process perspective with very good performance, customer perspective with enough performance, financial perspective estimation with good performance. At general we can assesd performanced of Madubaru firm is good and expected to be improved again. Modern libraries are increasingly being redefined as places to get unrestricted access to information in many formats and from many sources. They are extending services beyond the physical walls of a building, by providing material accessible by electronic means, and by providing the assistance of librarians in navigating and analyzing very large amounts of information with a variety of digital resources. Libraries are increasingly becoming community hubs where programs are delivered and people engage in lifelong learning. The aim of this study was to investigate the information use pattern of library by faculty members of Annapoorana Engineering College at Salem. Specifically, five purposes and research questions guided the study. It adopted a descriptive survey design and had a population of 80. From the above population questionnaire were distributed with all (80) and 75 questionnaires were returned; representing a return rate of 94%. The data collected were analyzed using descriptive statistics of frequency tables and percentage method and to arrive at conclusion.

The study focused on users satisfaction with library services at the Delta State University main Library, Abraka, Delta State. The objective was to find out if users are satisfied with the services, facilities, the library environment, information sources and staff of the library. Using the descriptive survey design the population for the study consisted of all registered library users in the Site II of the Delta State University, Abraka Campus. The study employed the simple random sampling techniques in selecting the sample size for the study, and with a questionnaire data were collected. The findings revealed that the services offered at the Delta State University are inadequate and below average. Most users were satisfied with the availability of information sources in the library but also registered that most of these information sources are not available for loan. The findings also showed that there is a significant relationship between the assessment of library collection by users and their satisfaction with information sources. The library environment is clean and the reading carrels are adequate but, there are no effective lightening and toilet facilities.

The study examines managing teacher education and innovative reforms agenda for curriculum execution in secondary schools in Imo state, Nigeria. The study adopted descriptive survey design. The population comprised of Five hundred and thirty (530) secondary school Principal in Imo state school system. The sample consisted of 200 duty principals randomly selected by stratified technique from each of the three education zones of the state, Okigwe, Orlu, and Owerri. Fifteen (15) items questionnaire was the instruments for data collection and the instrument was validated by experts in Imo state University, Owerri. The questionnaire which recorded a reliability coefficient of 0.89 was administered face to face to 200 respondents by the researchers who also retrieved same. The data collected were analyzed with mean and standard deviation and null hypothesis were tested using the z-test statistics at 0.05 level of significance. Based on the results, the researchers made crucial recommendations that government and stakeholders in education should emphasize on managing teacher education and innovative reform agenda to enhance development of the nation.

The study assessed the impact of entrepreneurial opportunity and collaborative research efforts on academic entrepreneurship among Ekiti State University Staff. The study made use of prior entrepreneurial opportunity and collaborative research efforts as independent variables. The period of study was between 2017–2018. Descriptive survey research design was adopted and the research sample size of 100 was drawn from the total population of academic staff in all faculties in Ekiti State University through the adoption of Taro Yamane (1967) model. Convenience and purposive sampling techniques were adopted to select the sample that shares the same characteristics in order to ensure that every member of staff of all faculties was represented. Data were analysed using both descriptive and inferential statistics. The study revealed that entrepreneurial opportunity exerts positive impact on academic entrepreneurship among Ekiti state university staff and also, that collaborative research efforts exert positive impact on academic entrepreneurship among Ekiti state university staff.

It has been observed that faculty members of Kwara State University (KWASU) in Malete, Nigeria, publish in journals based on some factors and considerations. These factors and considerations guide their choice of publishing in journals. The aim of this study was to show the factors and considerations influencing KWASU faculty members’ decision to publish with journals. The study adopted a descriptive survey method, with a web-survey questionnaire as data collection instrument. The population for the study was 482, of whom 192 respondents responded positively, representing 39.8% of the total population. A quantitative analysis was done of data collected, using the automatically-generated analysis from Google Forms. The hypothesis was tested using Microsoft Excel. It was found that some of the factors that influence the choice of KWASU faculty members to publish with journals, include: peer review; publication cost; open access; impact factor; and frequency of publication. It was found that more than half of the faculty members give consideration to editorial board lists of journals before sending out their manuscripts to journals. It was also found that there is a statistically significant relationship between factors and considerations for the choice of publishing in a journal. Challenges encountered by faculty members in publishing with journals include poor communication between author and editor, faculty members’ poor awareness of journals, difficulty in getting collaborators, and pressure to get an academic promotion.

This article reports on the findings of a study undertaken to establish practices and challenges to academic publishing at a higher education institution in Ethiopia. A descriptive survey design was employed and con- -venience and purposive sampling were used to select the sample. The data were gathered by means of a questionnaire with closed- and open-ended questions and were analysed using descriptive and thematic analysis. The results show that, despite the benefits of publishing, not all academics in the university are publishing in local and international journals due to a number of challenges. These include a lack of commitment and motivation, lack of experience and exposure to publishing, and inadequate information,knowledge and skills to access accredited journals. Academics also suffer from work overload, a lack of support from the university to publish, and challenges emanating from journals themselves. It is recommended thatthe university, the Ethiopian Ministry of Science and Higher Education and other relevant stakeholders should collaborate to address this situation. The use of substance by university academics in recent times is a cause for concern especially due to the negative implications of its misuse. The social climate in the university is gradually changing in spite of its setting which is meant for educating and reforming individuals, as new forms of social organizations have evolved wherein academics get involved in indiscriminate substance use as a result. This research was undertaken to investigate the reasons why academics engaged in substance use and to find out the difference in its use, based on gender and socio-economic status of the respondents. The study adopted the descriptive survey design. The population of the study comprised 833 academic staff. A total of 113 academics who were randomly selected from six out of twelve faculties in the university participated in the study. Three Research questions and two research hypotheses were generated to guide the study. A researcher designed instrument named ‘University Academics’ Substance Use Questionnaire’ was used to generate data, and analyzed using mean scores, standard deviations and the t-test. Results indicated that a higher number of male than female academics engaged in substance use due to emotional and psychological reasons; and that alcohol, tobacco and caffeine were the most frequently used substances. The predisposing factors to substance use were amongst others, early parental and cultural initiation. The t-test also showed statistically significant differences in substance use based on gender and socio-economic status of the respondents. Based on the findings, recommendations were made.

The study aimed to investigate the challenges and prospects of cataloguing and classification in academic libraries in Kwara State that focus on the Kwara State University Library.The study adopted the descriptive survey design. The study population consists of 50 practicing librarians who attended the Nigerian Library Association Annual Workshop, 2020 held at the State LibraryIlorin, Kwara State, Nigeria. A questionnaire entitled “Cataloguing challenges and prospects and a classification questionnaire containing closed elements was used to collect data for the study. The results revealed insufficient staffing, lack of modern tools, difficulties in cataloguing and classification backlogs, insufficient motivation, etc., as there are some challenges facing the technical departments of the studied academic library. The study also reveals, as an indication of a brighter future or good prospects for the technical divisions in the library studied, the increased advocacy for library automation, training opportunities available outside the country, introduction of an information management system, rapid transition from the manual method to the computerized method, etc. Based on the results, some recommendations were made.

Students’ dependence on guessing so as to pass their examinations prompted this study on Undergraduate Students’ Achievement in GST 101 using Corrected Scores and Uncorrected Scores. The study involved the entire students of the first year undergraduate students of the Department of Guidance and Counselling, Delta State University, Abraka, Nigeria. The study adopted a descriptive survey design. Four research questions and three null hypotheses guided the study. Scores obtained by the subjects in the 2018/2019 GST 101 examination were used in the study. Two sets of scores namely, uncorrected scores and corrected scores were analysed using independent samples t-test. The result showed that students’ mean achievement in GST 101 differed significantly with respect to uncorrected and corrected scores. Students had a higher mean score in the uncorrected scores. Relating gender separately to corrected and uncorrected scores, the result produced no significant difference. It was concluded that the use of correction formula drastically reduced students’ original scores in GST 101. It is hereby recommended that correction formula be introduced in public examination to forestall guessing in examinations.
