Employee Job satisfaction is an indication of how happy you are with your job. A person will feel confident and enthused about their work if they adhere to this value of job satisfaction. Teachers play a crucial role in the delivery of knowledge in higher educational institutes, As a result, it is no wonder that the subject of their job satisfaction frequently comes up in conversation. Job-satisfaction theories from Maslow to Lock have all been proposed to try to explain or understand the phenomenon of job satisfaction and motivation. Factors that contribute to employee job satisfaction change over time and cultural aspects are very important very analyzing these theories. In this study, a descriptive research design is used, and conclusions are drawn using a theory-based approach. According to the findings, job satisfaction of academic staff can be improved by implementing theories of satisfaction/motivation in higher educational institutes. Job satisfaction of academic staff leads towards the delivery of quality education resulting in student satisfaction and better university performance. This study has several implications for researchers and policymakers that it makes no difference whether theories are correct or incorrect; rather, it is determined by the environment in which they are used. Theories must be redesigned to incorporate the most recent results in human psychology.

The important of the study lie in his particle aspect that combined both total quality management and university performance in both public and private university, which can be achieved by introducing the scientific bases that all the university must followed. The problem of the paper is that most of the Iraqi universities do not apply the total quality management tools in its performance therefore the paper focus on identifying the relationship between total quality management and university performance, the study include preparing questionnaires forms and distributed on a sample of faculty deans, their assistants, and department heads and these questionnaires were analysis using statistical program (SPSS) by frequency and percentages. In order to know the direction of each hypothesis and the evidence validity or incorrectness of the hypothesis and the extent to which the phrases coincide with the hypothesis, the following measures were used (arithmetic mean, standard deviation, and mode).

Despite several attempts to provide a definite pattern regarding the effects of personality traits on performance in higher education, the debate over the nature of the relationship is far from being conclusive. The use of different subject pools and sample sizes, as well as the use of identification strategies that either do not adequately account for selection bias or are unable to establish causality between measures of academic performance and noncognitive skills, are possible sources of heterogeneity. This paper investigates the impact of the Big Five traits, as measured before the beginning of the academic year, on the grade point average achieved in the first year after the enrolment, taking advantage of a unique and large dataset from a cohort of Italian students in all undergraduate programs containing detailed information on student and parental characteristics. Relying on a robust strategy to credibly satisfy the conditional independence assumption, we find that higher levels of conscientiousness and openness to experience positively affect student score.

The paper presents method of clustering and grouping the university performance indicators to prepare an integral rating of Russian regions by the level of university involvement in innovative development of Russian regions. The following problems that require the management influence of state structures are considered: the role of the research base of regional universities in strengthening the innovative potential of regions, the degree of involvement of universities in the innovative regional space. The aim of the study is to develop a rating system for Russian regions according to the degree of university involvement in innovative development using mathematical tools and an intelligent data processing system. The main hypothesis of the article is the existence of a link between regional innovative development and the effectiveness of university contributions. The mathematical approach involves the consideration and multidimensional ranking of the main groups of university performance indicators in order to obtain cluster classifications within each of the problems posed. The solution to the problems is to build a barometer of innovation activity in the form of a multi-purpose problem-oriented rating.Materials and methods. An approach is applied that includes the assessment and multidimensional ranking of the contribution of universities using groups of integral indices created on the basis of aggregation of several important indicators of the university’s activity. Computational experiments were conducted according to the data of the Ministry of Education and Science for the regions of Russia and regional universities. 16 indicators of Russian regions for 2016 are considered. Results and discussion. The ranking and comparison of universities according to the degree of involvement in the innovative development of the region was performed using an indicator model and aggregation depending on the target problem. Quantitative indicators of the quality of university’s activities by regions are obtained, which allow us to obtain an integral rating of Russian regions by the level of university involvement. Unlike other approaches, the author’s method includes three components, which are independent integral indexes and indicate the level of involvement of universities in regional innovative development. Statistical data on the leading indicators of Russian universities for 2016 were processed. The methodology Science-model with three factors - the model with regrouping, named by the author A-B-C, showed the high potential of Russian universities to balance their regional demand as management research centers.Conclusion. The results of the study are compared with the ratings of the well-known agencies. The author hopes that soon Russia will have a reliable scientometric system at the level of rating universities on their involvement in the innovative development of Russia, such a rating will be an indisputable argument in favor of financing regional universities. The author laid down a high requirement: compliance with the three models, only in this case, regional universities can receive funding from the municipality, after redistribution from the center. At the same time, it is necessary to carefully choose universities in which projects will receive development and perspective. Regional authorities must meet the requirements to receive the necessary investments in promising projects. The scientific potential and demand for theoretical research for their full application at all enterprises, the combination of theoretical science and practical implementation will reduce the cost of stabilizing outdated technologies in all areas of knowledge and use the experience of older generations and the strength of young people for high-tech production growth in Russia. Therefore, the results of the study will be useful to federal authorities and financial and credit organizations that provide financing.

Purpose To address this question, this study aims to drew from resource-based view to examine the mediating role organisational innovation in the relationship between change-oriented leadership and organisational performance. Design/methodology/approach Given that the unit of analysis is an organisation, 219 principal officers, including Presidents/Rectors, Vice Presidents/Vice-Rectors, Registrars and Deans, were invited to complete the survey on behalf of their universities. Findings Results of the partial least squares structural equation modelling confirmed the positive relationship between change-oriented leadership and university performance. The results provide evidence that organisational innovation directly facilitates university performance. As expected, the relationship between change-oriented leadership and university performance was found to be mediated by organisational innovation. Practical implications Overall, this study successfully modelled organisational innovation as an underlying mechanism behind the change-oriented leadership – university performance relationship, thereby by testing resource-based theory in Saudi Arabian context. From a practical perspective, results suggest that to improve their performance is imperative for executive leaders in Saudi universities to focus on several specific work design strategies, obtaining feedback about their change-oriented leadership style from followers. Originality/value Whilst there has been a considerable amount of research emphasising the importance of change-oriented leadership, there has been little research linking this fundamental aspect of leadership to organisational performance. Yet an understanding of the possible mechanisms behind this linkage has not received attention.

The purpose of this study was to examine and compare Mongolians (118 men and 252 women) and Japanese (158 men and 201 women) university students’ awareness related to their occupation and their motivations for entering university. The survey focused on the vocational motives, university performance/experiences, and motivations for entering university. The analyses showed that although Mongolian and Japanese students have similar occupational views, there are some cultural differences that can be mainly identified with the recent historic developments and social changes both the nations experienced (e.g socialistic era in Mongolia).

In a bid to contribute to the increasing body of extant interdisciplinary research within the antecedents of university performance and strategic management domains, this study investigates the role of generic strategies in the perceived performance of universities. Using a case study of eight Nigerian universities and survey responses from 380 academics and administrative staff from these universities, the study tested four succinct hypotheses using the covariance structural equation modeling (CB-SEM) technique. Findings revealed that while there was a limited link between differentiation strategy and performance, there was a substantially strong link between focus strategy and performance according to the findings. Similarly, findings revealed that respondents from public-private universities perceived their institutions as having the strongest generic strategy-performance connection, followed by respondents from the public sector. The cost leadership-performance path demonstrated no significant effect.
