The presented work discusses a methodology for analysis of noise emissions from a diesel engine. A numerical model of the piston motion, analyzing its lateral, reciprocating and rotation motion, has been presented in order to investigate the lateral motion of the piston skirt assembly and resulting vibrations induced as a result of these motions in the engine block. Various parameters of modal analysis were obtained using the mobility analysis. The presented methodology was validated by data obtained from a diesel engine test set up. The predicted results matched well with those of measured data, hence validating the presented scheme.

In the process of the continuous development and improvement of modern military systems, military unmanned vehicles play an important role in field reconnaissance and strategic deployment. In this paper, the precise tracking algorithm of a military unmanned vehicle, based on GPS navigation, is studied. Firstly, the optimal preview point is obtained according to the data points of a differential GPS signal. Secondly, the pure tracking algorithm is used to calculate the demand steering angle, and a variable universe fuzzy sliding mode controller is designed to control the lateral motion of the vehicle, which is verified by the joint simulation platform of Simulink and CarSim, under multiple working conditions. Finally, the actual vehicle is verified by using the Autobox platform. The results show that the lateral motion control of path tracking designed in this paper can achieve an accurate and effective control effect, and has real-time performance for engineering applications.

AbstractTo improve the path tracking accuracy and yaw stability of distributed drive autonomous vehicles (DDAVs) under extreme working conditions, a cooperative lateral motion control method based on the dynamic boundary is proposed to prevent different road adhesion conditions from affecting the motion stability of DDAVs. Based on the analysis of the DDAV lateral dynamics system coordination mechanism, a dynamic boundary considering the pavement adhesion coefficient is proposed, and the Lateral Motion Synergistic Control System (LMSCS) is designed. The LMSCS is divided into the coordination, control, and executive layers. The coordination layer divides the control domain into the stable, quasi-stable, and unstable domains by the dynamic boundary, and coordinates the control strength of the path following control and yaw stability control. In the control layer, the path following control and yaw stability control laws are designed based on the global fast terminal sliding mode. The executive layer estimates the expected steering wheel angle and expected additional wheel torque. Joint simulations under double line shifting conditions confirmed that LMSCS reflects the impact of the road attachment conditions and improves the path tracking accuracy and vehicle yaw stability. The LMSCS has better overall performance than existing lateral motion control methods.

The article discusses the UAV lateral motion stabilization system, as a MIMO multiloop multirate continuous-discrete system, specified in the form of an input–output model in the domain of discrete Laplace transform or in the form of a structural diagram. Approaches to the construction of equivalent T and NT single-rate models for MIMO multiloop multirate continuous-discrete systems are considered. Here, T is the largest common divisor of the sampling periods of the system, N is a natural number that is the smallest common multiple of the numbers characterizing the sampling periods of the system. The resulting impulse representations of the outputs of equivalent models are in the form of rational functions. The basis for the construction of these models is a matrix of sampling densities—a structural invariant of sampling chains. An example of the construction of the indicated matrix and an equivalent single-rate model are given. Obtaining equivalent single-rate models for MIMO multiloop multirate systems allows us to extend the methods of research and synthesis of MIMO continuous and continuous-discrete systems to a common theoretical base—the theory of polynomials and rational functions, which are typical elements of the description of these classes of systems.

For the linearized fourth-order model of the isolated lateral motion of a single-rotor helicopter as a MIMO system containing two inputs, the control is analytically synthesized, which ensures the invariance of the roll angle motion in the presence of disturbances in the control channels, as well as the required placement of the poles of the closed-loop system, given any specific values from the area of their stability. The approach to the synthesis of invariant control consists in finding a matrix of feedback coefficients of a linear system that satisfies the invariance conditions, which are a system of power matrix equations of a certain design. The synthesis is based on the application of theor ems based on the use of the regularization condition of the matrix equation and the invariance conditions under disturbances in the control channels, as well as theorems that make it possible to place the poles of the MIMO system using the original decomposition of the control object. Regularization of a matrix equation is understood as a solution to the problem of providing a given set of singular values for an inverted symmetric square matrix. The invariance of the MIMO system is considered with respect to unmeasured disturbances inthe control channels. The use of such an approach to the synthesis of invariant control made it possible to obtain an analytical solution that is versatile and can be applied in various flight modes of single-rotor helicopters with different dynamic properties. The results of the numerical synthesis of the lateral motion of a singlerotor helicopter using the obtained laws of invariant control, which confirm the reliability of the analytical expressions, areshown.
