The outbreak of COVID-19 brought social and economic life to a standstill. In this study the focus is on assessing the impact on affected sectors, such as aviation, tourism, retail, capital markets, MSMEs, and oil. International and internal mobility is restricted, and the revenues generated by travel and tourism, which contributes 9.2% of the GDP, will take a major toll on the GDP growth rate. Aviation revenues will come down by USD 1.56 billion. Oil has plummeted to 18-year low of $ 22 per barrel in March, and Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) have withdrawn huge amounts from India, about USD 571.4 million. While lower oil prices will shrink the current account deficit, reverse capital flows will expand it. Rupee is continuously depreciating. MSMEs will undergo a severe cash crunch. The crisis witnessed a horrifying mass exodus of such floating population of migrants on foot, amidst countrywide lockdown. Their worries primarily were loss of job, daily ration, and absence of a social security net. India must rethink on her development paradigm and make it more inclusive. COVID 19 has also provided some unique opportunities to India. There is an opportunity to participate in global supply chains, multinationals are losing trust in China. To ‘Make in India’, some reforms are needed, labour reforms being one of them.

Many researchers of the thyroid pathology consider that the investigation of the epidemiology of thyroid disease in conjunction with the study of the diet are relevant. The question is if the unbalanced diet may worsen the course of hypothyroidism. The purpose of this study was to establish the relationship between the peculiarities of the diet of patients with hypothyroidism and the functional state of the thyroid gland. Methods and materials. It was observed 400 women of Polish nationality aged 19–28 years living in Biala Podlaska district of the Lublin Voivodeship of Poland which consider themselves healthy. The blood levels of free (FT3) and total (T3) triiodothyronine, free (FT4) and total (T4) thyroxin, thyrotropic hormone (TSH) were determined. With the help of questionnaires and food tables, the approximate average amount of proteins, fats and carbohydrates in the daily ration was determined, as well as the average amount consumed daily with iodine. The prevalence of hypothyroidism among surveyed women was 3.5 % and was not significantly different from the values observed in the European Union. Women with reduced thyroid function consumed with food significantly 3.78 times less iodine, 2.97 times (P < 0.001) less salt and 1.47 times (P < 0.001) less protein compared to women with normal thyroid function. In addition, women with hypothyroidism consumed with food 2.25 times (P < 0.001) more products with properties of strumogens. The development of hypothyroidism in the examined women was combined with a reduced intake of iodine and proteins with food products and an increased use of products with the properties of strumogens.

<p><em>The aim of the work was to reduce the cost of the food produced and to value blood from poultry. It consisted of collecting the poultry blood, turning it into flour and incorporating it into the feed intended to feed Clarias gariepinus fry. Next, an attempt was made to determine the effect of the poultry blood incorporated in the locally produced feed on the growth of Clarias gariepinus fry. To do this we substitute completely the fishmeal that was used, which is expensive with the blood</em><em> </em><em>meal that is found to be free. Thus, three lots of 100 Clarias gariepinus fry of 2.01g mean weight were placed in three fiberglass tubs. In each tub we have distributed a specific feed. For each type of food a quantity of 2.5kg was used. A daily ration of 5% of fry biomass was used throughout the study. They were fed 9 times a day. It is noted that the industrial food is better but there is no significant difference between locally made foods that based on fishmeal and that with poultry blood</em><em> </em><em>meal. So it is possible to replace fishmeal with poultry blood</em><em> </em><em>meal in locally made feeds.</em></p>

Aim. Identification of the relationship between the state of physical development and the peculiarity of nutrition of students of theAzerbaijanMedicalUniversity.Material and Methods. Measurement of anthropometric indicators of the students of the 2nd and 5th courses was carried out by the currently known methods. Calculation methods were used to determine sigma deviation, Broca index, body mass index, vital index. The features of student nutrition are studied using the questionnaire-method. Based on the collected questionnaires, the number of macronutrients (proteins, fats and carbohydrates) in the daily ration and its energy value are calculated from the table of the chemical composition of the products.Results. The gender difference in the actual indicators of physical development and the number of macronutrients used in the diets is stated. The largest number of students with normal mass-scale indicators are defined among the girls of the 2nd year and boys of the 5th year. The content of macronutrients in the diets of these students corresponded to the standards and was confirmed by the values of the body mass index.Comparison of the physical development and the chemical composition of the daily ration indicates that the nutritional status of students, in particular, for young men of the 2nd year (25%) and girls of the 5th year (more than 30%), is inefficient. Excessive fat content in the daily ration and the scarce supply of other macronutrients to the body of students gives grounds for developing recommendations on dietary nutrition.
