In this paper, we consider a natural convection flow of an incompressible viscous fluid subject to Newtonian heating and constant mass diffusion. The proposed model has been described by the Caputo fractional operator. The used derivative is compatible with physical initial and boundaries conditions. The exact analytical solutions of the proposed model have been provided using the Laplace transform method. The obtained solutions are expressed using some special functions as the Gaussian error function, Mittag–Leffler function, Wright function, and G -function. The influences of the order of the fractional operator, parameters used in modeling the considered fluid, Nusselt number, and Sherwood number have been analyzed and discussed. The physical interpretations of the influences of the parameters of our fluid model have been presented and analyzed as well. We use the graphical representations of the exact solutions of the model to support the findings of the paper.

In this article, the impact of Newtonian heating in addition to slip effects was critically examined on the unsteady magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) flow of an Oldroyd-B fluid near an infinitely vertical plate. The functional effects such as the retardation and relaxation of materials can be estimated for magnetized permeability based on the relative decrease or increase during magnetization. From this perspective, a new mathematical model was formulated based on non-slippage and slippage postulates for the Oldroyd-B fluid with magnetized permeability. The heat transfer induction was also examined through a non-fractional developed mathematical model for the Oldroyd-B fluid. The exact solution expressions for non-dimensional equations of velocity and temperature were explored by employing Laplace integral transformation under slipping boundary conditions under Newtonian heating. The heat transfer rate was estimated through physical interpretation by considering the limits on the solutions induced by the Nusselt number. To comprehensively discuss the dynamics of the considered problem, the physical impacts of different parameters were studied and reverberations were graphically highlighted and deliberated. Furthermore, in order to validate the results, two limiting models, namely the Maxwell model and the second grade model, were used to compare the relevant flow characteristics. Additionally, in order to perform the parametric analysis, the graphical representation was portrayed for non-slipping and slipping solutions for velocity and temperature.

AbstractThe impact of Newtonian heating on a time-dependent fractional magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) Maxwell fluid over an unbounded upright plate is investigated. The equations for heat, mass and momentum are established in terms of Caputo (C), Caputo–Fabrizio (CF) and Atangana–Baleanu (ABC) fractional derivatives. The solutions are evaluated by employing Laplace transforms. The change in the momentum profile due to variability in the values of parameters is graphically illustrated for all three C, CF and ABC models. The ABC model has proficiently revealed a memory effect.

A comparative analysis is formed to analyze the combined effects of a binary chemical reaction and activation energy in the flow of bio-nanofluid due to the thin moving needle using the mathematical nanofluid model offered by Buongiorno with different boundary conditions namely, Newtonian heating and prescribed surface temperature. The governing partial differential equations converted into a set of final controlled governing physical flow equations by using similarity variables and then solved numerically by Runge–Kutta–Fehlberg method along with shooting technique and analytically by differential transform method. The results gained for the dimensionless velocity, temperature, concentration, motile diffusivity number, Nusselt number and Sherwood number are presented through graphs and tables. The present study reveals that an enhancement in the pertinent parameters has considerably altered the physical characteristics of the flow and heat transfer, which applies in biosensors and biomedical instrumentation. Also, the rate of heat transfer from the needle to the fluid is controlled by applying Newtonian heating than by applying prescribed surface temperature against all the parameters. In addition, we carried out the statistical analysis to determine the dependence of the physical parameter on the rate of heat transfer for both cases of heating process.

This study investigates the mathematical modelling of heat generation/absorption effect on the convective flow of single wall carbon nanotube-copper (SWCNT-Cu)/water hybrid nanofluid towards a stagnation point past a stretching sheet with Newtonian heating. The set of governing equations in the form of non-linear partial differential equations are first transform using the similarity transformation technique then solved numerically by the Runge-Kutta-Fehlberg (RKF45) method in Maple software. The numerical solutions were obtained for the surface temperature, the heat transfer coefficient and the skin friction coefficient as well as the velocity and the temperature profiles. The features of the flow and heat transfer characteristics for various values of the stretching parameter, the conjugate parameter, the nanoparticle volume fraction parameter and the heat source/sink parameter are analyzed and discussed. It is found that effects of hybrid nanoparticles are more significant for lower stretching parameter and for large conjugate parameter values, as well as the heat generation/absorption.
