India has one of the lowest female labor force participation rates in the world and a majority of women work in the informal sector. The World Economic Forum said that at the it will take India 108 years to close the overall gender gap and 202 years to bring equality in the workplace. Even though there are more women graduates, the number of those joining the corporate sector and rising to the top remains abysmally low. (Thakur, 2020). In the recent study by Credit Suisse Research Institute (CSRI)India Ranked 23 globally, India’s female representation on boards has increased by 4.3 percentage points over the past five years to 15.2% in 2019.Though female participation rate increased but it is significantly below the global average of 20.6% (Pathak ,2019). India is near the bottom of the rankings for female representation at senior management levels, only marginally better than Japan and South Korea. Accepting the fact that female participation is top position is very less in India from the above figures this paper aims to examine the women in the top position as well as threw a light on area or type of work in which women are engaged in select service sector in Pune city

Abstract: Gender equality is one of the goals in the Sustainable Development Goals. However, until now Indonesia is still having difficulties in achieving this goal. According to the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) data, Indonesia's Gender Inequality Index (GII) is ranked 107 out of 189 countries. In addition, according to The Global Gender Gap Index 2021 data by the World Economic Forum (WEF), Indonesia is ranked 105th out of 153 countries. This shows that Indonesia is still lagging behind in terms of gender equality. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the sentiments of Indonesian twitter netizens regarding gender equality in 2018-2021 and its accuracy. Data was collected from primary data, scraping twitter data with the keywords #kesetaraan and #gender in Indonesian. The method used is Lexicon-based Sentiment Analysis with AFINN-111 dictionary translated into Indonesian. The results obtained are that the percentage of positive sentiments tends to decrease from year to year except for 2021. On the contrary, the negative sentiments of Twitter tend to increase. This is due to controversial articles in RKUHP, RUU Cipta Kerja, Covid-19 pandemic, and the online gender-based violence. This shows that the gender equality in Indonesia is still minimal and needs to be improved. Keywords: AFINN-111, gender equality, lexicon-based sentiment analysis, text mining, twitter Abstrak: Kesetaraan gender termasuk tujuan pada Sustainable Development Goals. Kata kunci: AFINN-111, kesetaraan gender, lexicon-based sentiment analysis, text mining, twitter

Abstract Built on the exclusive funding of 1,000 large transnational corporations, the World Economic Forum is a not-for-profit Swiss foundation, aiming to shape the direction of globalization. Its events are characterized by low degrees of formality and transparency. Research on what this organization does is scarce. This article suggests the term discretionary governance to capture the precarious, yet existing, social order that the organization shapes. By discretionary governance, we mean a set of discreet practices based on the organization’s judgement in ways that escape established democratic controls. Drawing on ethnographic data the paper demonstrates how selection, secrecy, and status form key components of this tenuous ordering. Selection processes and secrecy contribute to status elevation of the individuals and organizations chosen to participate. Upon them and the organization itself is bestowed a symbolic capital that is practical and possibly profitable in the world of global governance.

Abstract The aim of the article is an attempt to analyze the impact of the pandemic crisis (caused by the COVID-19 coronavirus) on innovations created by economic entities. The ongoing economic downturn has reasons different from previous economic peturbations, and has much more extensive effects across the entire global economy. Hence the need to analyze not individual economies as trends (megatrends) in the emergence of innovations initiated or significantly accelerated by the pandemic crisis. The analysis was made on the basis of reports from institutions such as the World Economic Forum, OECD or ESPAS, as well as preliminary studies conducted in some countries (eg the USA). It should be emphasized that due to the ongoing perturbations and the pandemic not ending, precise research results will be possible to obtain in later years.

Abstract Societal and environmental risks dominated the top 10 risks in both likelihood and impact, according to the surveys conducted by the World Economic Forum. Against this background, there have been many cases demonstrating the disastrous financial impact of organisational failure to address societal and environmental risks. As a person whose responsibility is to assess financial risks of the organisation, there is increasing expectation for the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead sustainability strategy and initiatives. This research serves to review the literature which highlights the roles and characteristics of CFOs essential for corporate sustainability. Drawing upon this and related literature examining the influence of CFOs on other accounting practices, it proposes a framework illustrating the potential relationships between CFO characteristics and corporate sustainability.
