Space-time adaptive processing (STAP) techniques have been motivated as a key enabling technology for advanced airborne radar applications. In this paper, a slow-time code design is considered for the STAP technique in airborne radar, and the principle for improving signal-to-clutter and noise ratio (SCNR) based on slow-time coding is given. We present two algorithms for the optimization of transmitted codes under the energy constraint on a predefined area of spatial-frequency and Doppler-frequency plane. The proposed algorithms are constructed based on convex optimization (CVX) and alternating direction (AD), respectively. Several criteria regarding parameter selection are also given for the optimization process. Numerical examples show the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed methods.

Spectral efficiency is a major concern for future 6G wireless communication systems. Thus, an appropriate scheme is needed to provide channel capacity improvement for multiple transmitters and receiver-based wireless communication systems without consuming extra resource for communication (e.g., frequency/time/code) or causing interference. Therefore, to fulfill the mentioned requirements for the future 6G wireless network, orbital angular momentum-based multiple-input-multiple-output (OAM-MIMO) multiplexing technique is incorporated with the receive antenna shift keying (RASK) technique in this study (termed as the OAM-MIMO-RASK scheme). OAM-MIMO-RASK can transfer multiple symbols from multiple transmitters to different receivers simultaneously by using multiple subchannels using the OAM and RASK techniques without any interference or additional resource (frequency/time/code). The numerical results illustrated that the proposed OAM-MIMO-RASK can achieve almost double capacity than the existing OAM-MIMO scheme and significantly higher capacity than the existing RASK-based scheme for different values of signal-to-noise ratio. Moreover, the simulation result is validated by the theoretical result which is also shown by the numerical result. In addition, due to different normalized distances from the transmitters and receivers, the proposed OAM-MIMO-RASK scheme can achieve almost double capacity than the existing OAM-MIMO scheme by using OAM-MIMO and RASK technique effectively which is also depicted by the numerical results.

The video diptych In and Out of Time portrays a calf that has just passed away. The image on the left shows a recording of the calf as seen with an ordinary video camera. The image on the right shows the same calf, as seen through an infrared camera. The videos are in synchrony: as the body of the calf cools down, its image slowly vanishes from the infrared image. The original recording time of seven hours and 3o minutes is visible as a time code in lower right corner of the video.

Due to the occlusion of the moon, an annular solar eclipse will have an effect on the ionosphere above the earth. The change of the ionosphere, for the low-frequency time-code signal that relies on it as a reflection medium for long-distance propagation, the signal field strength, and other parameters will also produce corresponding changes, which will affect the normal operation of the low-frequency time-code time service system. This paper selects the solar eclipse that occurred in China on 21 June 2020, and uses the existing measurement equipment to carry out experimental research on the low-frequency time-code signal. We measured and analyzed the signal field strength from 20 June 2020 to 23 June 2020, and combined solar activity data, ionospheric data, and geomagnetic data, and attempted to explore the reasons and rules of the change of signal parameters. The results showed that the field strength of the low-frequency time-code signal changed dramatically within a short time period, the max growth value can reach up to 17 dBμV/m and the variation trend yielded ‘three mutations’. This change in signal field strength is probably due to the occurrence of a solar eclipse that has an effect on the ionosphere. When the signal propagation conditions change, the signal strength will also change accordingly.

The analysis of the concept of Open-Science Space is carried out. The existence of ways to achieve reproducibility and traceability of research results performed by a group of worldwide situated Cyber-physical system operators/supervisors is shown. Ways to ensure the efficient operation of Cyber-physical systems as complex technological nondemountable objects with high requirements for metrological characteristics have been studied. To develop the scattered cyberphysical systems, the portable stable-in-time code-controlled measures of physical quantities have been studied. They have to be metrologically confirmed in the laboratory before the delivery to the site of the measuring subsystem for its calibration.
