Objective. To evaluate the expression of G protein-coupled estrogen receptor (GPER1), heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1), and heme oxygenase-2 (HO-2) in patients with chronic endometritis and to determine the importance of these markers in the diagnosis of the disease.Materials and methods. The results of GPER1, HO-1, and HO-2 expression were analyzed in patients with a confrmed diagnosis of chronic endometritis and in patients of the comparison group.Results. The expression of GPER1 ≤ 79 % (sensitivity — 100.00 %; specifcity — 95.83 %; +PV — 94.00 %; -PV — 100 %), the expression of HO-1 positive cells > 5 % (sensitivity — 100.00 %; specifcity -100%; +PV — 100 %; -PV — 100 %) are signifcant for the development of chronic endometritis. The endometrial glands in the patients with chronic endometritis express the markers of inflammation HO-1 and HO-2 signifcantly more often than in the comparison group (p < 0.001).Conclusion. The presented data indicate defects of the enzymes of iron metabolism and non-canonical pathways of estrogen reception in chronic endometritis. The determination of GPER1, HO-1, HO-2 expression in the endometrium in patients with chronic endometritis is a reliable criterion and may be used in the diagnosis of the disease.

The article presents the results of study effect of quercetin on the indicators of endogenous intoxication syndrome under conditions of experimental periodontitis. One of the key links in the pathogenesis of any inflammatory disease, including maxillofacial area, is endogenous intoxication, an important pathophysiological mechanism of which is the activation of lipid peroxidation. The experimental animals were treated by intramuscular injections with water-soluble quercetin for 7 days. For further research the blood serum was selected in which was determined the content of middle molecular weight molecules and erythrocyte intoxication index. Excessive lipoperoxidation was accompanied by accumulation of peroxidation products and depletion of antioxidant reserves, which led to accumulation of toxic substances. That is why the study of the level of middle molecular weight molecules and erythrocyte intoxication index in simulated bacterial-immune periodontitis is a reliable criterion. Quercetin was able to reduce the expression of endogenous intoxication syndrome in experimental bacterial-immune periodontitis.

Abstract This current study is an effort to understand the hormonal and follicular growth in the Barb and Arabian mares during the oestrous cycle; as mares are unique creatures. A total of 53 mares with 97 oestrous cycles were studied. The mares with a mean age of 10.38 ± 4.55 were examined by ultrasonography every day during their breeding season (2017). Two blood samples from each mare (n = 24) were obtained for progesterone (P4), oestrogen (oestradiol-17 beta) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) determinations. The data revealed that the duration of the oestrous cycle was between 19 to 22 days. The pre-ovulatory follicle grew (3.02 ± 1.04) millimetre per day. The rate of cycles exploited in the mare (Arabian versus Barb) for conception was significantly different (P < 0.001). The maximal diameter of the follicle was 50.00 millimetre. The serum progesterone levels (P < 0.01) in mares were significantly higher in the luteal phase than those recorded during the time of oestrous. However, the levels of oestradiol and for FSH did not significantly change during the oestrous cycle in the mares. Determining the association between the size of the follicle and the hormone profiles were the most reliable criterion in the prediction of ovulation.

Psychotherapy style is conceptualized as the therapeutic method that a therapist employs while working with clients during treatment. It influences both the therapeutic process and results of therapeutic actions. The present study developed and validated the Psychotherapy Style Scale (PSS). By following a systematic psychometric development process, a three-factor structure of the PSS was identified. Exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis provided evidence of multidimensional structure and validity of the PSS. Cronbach’s α suggested that the resulting scale was highly reliable. Criterion validity was also satisfactory, demonstrated by correlations between the scale and criterion validity measures. The PSS has the potential to help better understand therapists’ behavioral characteristics and select the most appropriate therapists for clients who undergo psychotherapy.

The paper is focused on the study of literary translation as a type of rhetorical communication. The subject being analysed is that national conceptual sphere can be a reliable criterion for the authenticity of translation. The topic of the research is that national conceptual sphere regarded as a means of illocutionary influence and a source of differences in rhetorical conscience of the author of the original text as well as the translator and the addressee. A comparative analysis of Russian and Kazakh translations of Robert Burns’ ballad “John Barleycorn” is carried out. The comparison is based on the structure of rhetorical communication, national conceptual sphere, prosody parameters and genre features. The similarities and differences of the translations are specified. The similarities are shown in referential, strophic and genre proximity of the original and translations.

Background: In adenocarcinoma stomach, lymph node involvement is a significant predictor of survival, and a decisive factor in planning management. Size has always been an important criterion while considering the metastatic status of the node, in its radiological evaluation or otherwise. However, to what extent the size of a node can be considered as a reliable criterion for its metastatic potential remains a question. Methods: The present study is based on retrieving lymph nodes per operatively from patients of carcinoma stomach, measuring each node, evaluating its metastatic status and comparing the results to find a correlation between these two parameters. Results: The present study, examined a total of 187 nodes from 30 gastrectomy specimens. Among them, metastasis was found in 59 nodes (31.55%). Among these metastatic nodes, 34 (57.62%) were actually less than 5mm in size. Among the total sizes of all the lymph nodes examined, the mean±SD (standard deviation) of the metastasis positive nodes were found to be 6.42±3.86 mm, while that of the non-metastatic nodes were found to be 5.51±1.99 mm. However, it was also observed that larger nodes (>1 cm), tend to have a high chance of being malignant (62.5%).Conclusions: The above study shows though large nodes tend to be malignant, ignoring small nodes can lead to gross under staging or incomplete clearance while treating patients of adenocarcinoma stomach. Smaller nodes constitute a significant proportion of malignant nodes and must be evaluated. Size is not a reliable criterion of metastasis in lymph nodes of carcinoma stomach.

The article provides a review of the literature on the results of current studies on using bioimpedancemetry in clinical practice. The analysis of available domestic and foreign sources published for the past decade illustrates the practicability and broad possibilities of studying the electrical resistance of biological tissues and environments in a wide variety of medical fields. The majority of works deal with the study of practical value of the method for characterizing the nutritional status as one of the indicators of a complex assessment of physical development and human health, early detection of pathology of organs and systems, a reliable criterion for the effectiveness of therapy and prognosis of the disease. The works presented in the review characterize bioimpedance measurement as a promising method of preventive diagnostics that indisputable advantages include noninvasiveness and painlessness of the procedure, portability, and the possibility of safe repetition of the study in dynamics that is especially important in pediatric practice. The authors suggest to include this method in the standards of population survey in order to assess the health status and its monitoring.
