Abstract Combinatorial samplers are algorithmic schemes devised for the approximate- and exact-size generation of large random combinatorial structures, such as context-free words, various tree-like data structures, maps, tilings, RNA molecules. They can be adapted to combinatorial specifications with additional parameters, allowing for a more flexible control over the output profile of parametrised combinatorial patterns. One can control, for instance, the number of leaves, profile of node degrees in trees or the number of certain sub-patterns in generated strings. However, such a flexible control requires an additional and nontrivial tuning procedure. Using techniques of convex optimisation, we present an efficient tuning algorithm for multi-parametric combinatorial specifications. Our algorithm works in polynomial time in the system description length, the number of tuning parameters, the number of combinatorial classes in the specification, and the logarithm of the total target size. We demonstrate the effectiveness of our method on a series of practical examples, including rational, algebraic, and so-called Pólya specifications. We show how our method can be adapted to a broad range of less typical combinatorial constructions, including symmetric polynomials, labelled sets and cycles with cardinality lower bounds, simple increasing trees or substitutions. Finally, we discuss some practical aspects of our prototype tuner implementation and provide its benchmark results.

Abstract In modern quantum optics chiral waveguide quantum-electrodynamical (wQED) systems are attracting a lot of attention from the perspective of fundamental science, and possible interesting applications. In our work we theoretically analyze the eigenstates in a two-excitation domain of an ensemble of two-level atoms that are periodically spaced, and asymmetrically coupled to a guided mode. We found that in a regime when all atoms emit photons in-phase, most eigenstates in such a system can be well-approximated and described through the eigenstates from a single excitation domain, while the rest present a superposition of bound states with two strongly attracting excitations, and states, for which the excitations strongly repel from each other occupying the opposite edges of the system.

In this case report, we explain the story of a woman diagnosed with severe PTSD, suffering from recurrent nightmares involving a traumatizing event. She participated in 6 week lucid dreaming training to help her reduce her nightmare frequency. Our descriptions include her dream reports as well as the results of the psychological assessment conducted. In only 6 weeks, she was able to begin to change her dream plots and to improve several of the psychological measures. In this case, we stated that paying more attention to sleep and, especially nightmares, not only in patients with PTSD, should be standard in treatment processes for psychiatric disorders. We, therefore, underpin our case with literature that explains the benefits of treatments, specifically for sleep problems that do not involve medication.

This article analyzes the Federal Law of July 31, 2020 “On Experimental Legal Regimes in the Sphere of Digital Innovations in the Russian Federation” enacted in 2021 and aimed at the creation of “regulatory sandboxes “ in the Russian Federation – special regimes that allow the organizations to test the effectiveness of innovative technologies in implementation of their products and services without the risk of breaching the legislation. Leaning on such theoretical categories  as “legal regime” and “legal experiment”, the author explores the elements of the new legal institution introduced into the Russian legal system. Description is given to the scope of applicability of the experimental legal regimes in Russia – the digital innovations. The article reviews the principles, objects, actors, conditions, restrictions, types, and stages of the experimental legal regime; as well as distinguishes the bodies that monitor and assess the legal experiments, including the authorized body for the experimental legal regimes, the organization that represents business community in the experimental legal regimes, regulatory body, coordinating body, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation. The grounds for termination of implementation of the experimental legal regimes are reviewed. Taking into account the foreign experience, the author predicts positive effect from the implementation of legislative novelty, which is able to ensure operational audit of fintech solutions and offset the potential risks of its implementation

Outstanding heroic epics created by the Azerbaijani people (Kitabi-Dede Gorgud, Koroglu, Gara Malik, Gachag Nabi, Gachag Kerem, Gara Tanryverdi, Samed bey, Gandal Nagi, etc.), being the totality of education, morality, spirituality, are of particular value. The representations that have been formed over millennia, national-spiritual values with all aspects were reflected in the dastans, making up the main line. The interest shown since the beginning of the nineteenth century led to the analysis of these epics at various levels. The interest of representatives of the Azerbaijani, Turkish, European, Russian intelligentsia in the heroic epics was also caused by the content of the ethnocultural system. Description of colorful elements in episodes, events, motives of dastans, starting with the formation of personality and ending with patriotic education, directly reveals the essence of the existing educational system and requires extensive research. From the point of view of clarifying the historical and cultural current and its functional essence, the rules of society in the field of education, such models created by the European peoples of the majestic epics as "Beowulf", "Saga of Cuchulainn", "Song of Side", "Tristan and Isolde", "The Great Saga", "Little Saga". Azerbaijani heroic dastans were also studied by prominent representatives of the European scientific and cultural environment of the 19th century, such as F. Dietz, T. Nyoldeke, J. Sand, V.V. Bartold, I. Chopin, A. Khodzko, who singled out education, national, spiritual, moral values of the Azerbaijani people.
