Tamping needs to guarantee safety in limiting geometric failures in isolated points, reduce dynamic forces by a smooth through-going longitudinal level, and provide a certain riding comfort for passengers. Although different methods are applied to describe geometry deterioration, the amount of tamping needed is seldomly addressed. In this work, we evaluated and compared different tamping regimes and their long-term consequences by extrapolating the longitudinal level of track. Forecasting beyond one tamping action needs a precise positioning of measurement data and a solid methodology. We found that tracks can be operated by repairing isolated defects for more than ten years without running into technical and operational trouble, and even reducing budgets in this period. However, the long-term perspective financially shows the contrary: continuous through-going maintenance keeps track quality at a high level and provides the basis for a long service life.

This study investigates the trajectory planning problem for double-pendulum quadrotor transportation systems. The goal is to restrain the hook swing and payload swing while achieving precise positioning. An online trajectory planning method with two capabilities—precise positioning and swing suppression—is proposed. The stability and convergence of the system are proved using the Lyapunov principle and the LaSalle’s invariance theory. Simulation results show that the proposed method has excellent control performance.

This paper presents our results in use of the specialized software and specific modules for microclimate monitoring and pest biological cycle assessment, to evaluate and quantify the attack risk for microclimate monitoring, combined with 6 type specific pheromones produced in Romania, in order to determine their efficacy in detecting the targeted micro Lepidoptera, assess their population flight pattern, as well and the biocenotic stress, both tools categories aiming to the precise positioning of the treatments to achieve integrated pests management and reduce the overall impact of the treatments with insecticides on the environment. According the fruit species, several strategies have been defined and followed by several insecticide applications into the bearing orchards, to achieve a better control of damaging micro Lepidoptera. Use of the mixed monitoring systems in tandem with specific pheromones contributed to a more efficient use of the insecticides and increased performances, both for pome and stone fruit species as well.

During the overhaul and maintenance of the transmission system of the modern rolling mill, a very common problem is the positioning of the motor and the reducer or speed increaser. The operation of the equipment and the service life of the equipment will be significantly affected by the accuracy of the multimodal coupling position determination. Therefore, precise positioning and rapid positioning must be achieved. This article intends to analyze how this type of equipment achieves rapid and accurate positioning and what factors will affect the location determination process.

Abstract Aiming at the problems of low efficiency and high safety risks encountered in grabbing and placing the boxes by manual mode, the multi-sensor fusion method of vision and laser ranging sensor is used for position and posture detection, and the global rough positioning is detected by the global binocular camera. Precise positioning uses four local measurement modules, including a monocular camera and three laser ranging modules, to detect the position and posture of the target, and uses Move it in ROS for trajectory planning, obstacle avoidance detection and object grabbing. The intelligent position posture detection and control technology proposed in this paper can effectively improve the timeliness of the box grabbing operation, ensure the safety of the box grabbing operation, and enhance the adaptability to harsh environments.
