Student-athletes’ performance in sports can be influenced by a lot of factors. The coaching style, behavior, and competency of coaches are critical to the development of athletic talent. Thus, this research examined the relationship that existed between coaching style, behavior, competency of coaches, and student-athletes’ performance in sports. Furthermore, predictors of student-athletes’ performance were also explored. Using descriptive correlational research design, quantitative data were gathered using a questionnaire as the main instrument. The study enlisted a total of 59 purposively selected sport-teachers assigned to coach student-athletes. Results of the study revealed that command style, reciprocal style, problem-solving style, and guided discovery style were the coaching styles highly practiced by the respondents. Coaching behavior such as physical training and planning, technical skill, mental preparation, competition strategy, personal rapport, and negative personal rapport was the coaching behavior that is highly applied by the respondents. Coaching competence like motivation, game strategy, character building, and technique were found to be very high. On the other hand, student-athletes performance in sports in the division level was found to be satisfactory, while it is unsatisfactory in regional and national level. Guided discovery coaching style, competition strategy competency, and motivation competency were found to have a moderate significant relationship with student-athletes performance. Competition strategy competency was found to be a predictor of student-athletes performance. Therefore, it is highly recommended that coaches must consistently sustain their high level of competence in this area.

This examination study was done to recognize the effect of democratic coaching style on the game strategy of badminton players. It was basic to discover the effect of prevalent democratic coaching style inside the educational structured organizations for developing successful inter-collegiate, inter-department, and inter-varsity level Badminton players. The examination was ensured on two hundred players (boys) related to Badminton-game. The players studying in various degree programs of twenty concerned Colleges of division Sukkur, (N=100) and twenty various departments of teaching (N=100) of Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur (SALU) took an active part in the examination. The Badminton players evaluated the efficacy of democratic coaches on their game strategy, utilizing the Coaching Efficacy Scale (C.E.S), a review poll. The frequency and percentage were diversely processed with the general means as; 2.37, 2.41, 2.49, 2.37, 2.34, 2.51, which were distinctive essentially from one another. The outcomes demonstrated that the popularity-based democratic coaching style positively affects the game strategy of players to contend in the competitions. Finally, the impact of democratic coaching style on players' game strategy was found to be higher. This data would add to set up between university and between department level badminton programs all the more successfully to chase ability eventually.

Using situational leadership models, the current study examined direct and indirect relationships between coaching styles (i.e., democratic and autocratic) and athletes’ intent to continue participation via enjoyment in the sport of artistic swimming. Data were collected using an online survey with a snowball sampling method. A total of 202 artistic swimmers at the elite level from 22 countries participated in this study. The findings showed that participants who trained with democratic-style coaches reported higher levels of athletic enjoyment and intent to continue their athletic careers. There was no mediating effect of athletic enjoyment between coaching styles and intent to continue via athletic enjoyment; instead, the results revealed that the direct path between athletic enjoyment and intent to continue was not significant. However, the results supported the direct relationships between both coaching styles and athletic enjoyment and between autocratic coaching style and intent to continue an athletic career.

The results mean that a huge bit of players was experienced for the nearest and beneficial outcomes of democratic coaching style on the skills of the capability to compete of players. The current research suggested that the coaching and training programs generate and develop confidence level of players to contend suitably ought to be masterminded and the competitions like between club, Inter-district, inter-region, Inter-province school, inter-department, inter-collegiate and inter-varsity be sorted out where the players may benefit open doors for cooperation and may show their degree of ability to compete in the tournaments.

This research was carried out to know the central subject of the assessment with the relationship of a democratic coaching style on the student-players of motivation. Therefore; the survey study was conducted on understudy players of Badminton at Sukkur-area, Sindh. The players of twenty Colleges and twenty departments of Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur as 100 from each (N=200) participated. A questionnaire was utilized as a data collection instrument. The disclosures imply that a tremendous piece of players was experienced for the closest and helpful results of a democratic coaching style on the players' motivation. The frequencies and percentages were differently computed with the overall methods as; 2.36, 2.39, 2.38, 2.31, 2.38, 2.45, and 2.49 which were different from each other fundamentally. This examination study was conducted on the character building of students who are also players through democratic coaching style. The primary goal of the examination was to explore the connection of democratic conduct of coaching with the character building of the players. The study was carried out on Badminton players at the Sukkur region, Sindh. The student-players of 20 associated colleges (N=100) and 20 teaching departments (N=100) of Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur participated in the study. A survey questionnaire, as a research tool, was applied. The results show that the majority of student-players were of the view that there is a positive relationship between democratic conduct of coaching with the character building of the student players. The frequencies, percentages were differently found, which were significantly different from each other. The study recommended that the training and coaching programs for the character building of student-players should be arranged and tournaments like inter-school, inter-department, inter-collegiate, and inter-varsity be organized where the student-players be encouraged to participate, and the concerned coaches must focus on the character-building of the students along with the technical and tactical skills of the student-players.
