The objectives of this study are 1). to examine the effect of ethics on employee performance atthe Sematang Borang District Office. 2). to test the effect of employee competence onemployee performance at the Sematang Borang District office, 3). to examine the effect ofethics and employee competence on employee performance at the Sematang Borang Districtoffice. This research was conducted on 31 employees at the Sematang Boran sub-districtoffice in Palembang City using a questionnaire. A questionnaire consisting of Ethicalvariables and employee competence as independent variables and employee performance asthe dependent variable. This study uses simple regression analysis and multiple linearregression to see which variables are more influential and the size of the contribution of eachvariable in influencing performance. It is hoped that this research will contribute toemployees regarding the importance of ethics and competence in serving the community, sothat employee performance is maximized. The results of this study indicate that the variablesof ethics and employee competence have a significant effect on the performance of employees at the Head Office of Sematang Borang, Palembang City.

Based on the results of the analysis of the 2020 East Medan District Government Agency Performance Accountability Report, it shows that employee performance is still low, and there are problems that need to be addressed related to apparatus work discipline. The research method used in this research is descriptive with qualitative analysis. Data collection is obtained from interviews, documentation, and observations. The results showed that the work quality of the employees of the East Medan District Head Office, Medan City was still low in terms of handling documents and procedures were still convoluted and slow and not transparent in terms of costs. The work quantity of the employees of the Medan Timur Sub-district Office in Medan City is quite good. The work discipline of the employees of the East Medan Sub-district Office, Medan City, has not yet been implemented as expected by the community. Employees at the Medan Timur Sub-district Office in Medan City have good initiatives in carrying out their duties. As well as the employee's responsibility for all aspects related to the tasks carried out by the employees of the East Medan District Head Office, Medan City is quite good.

The pandemic of COVID-19 has given a disaster to the business industry. Many businesses have to concede that they have to suffer financially because of this situation. One of those businesses that suffered is the hotel business. Many hotel companies have to find a strategy to ensure their relationship between the main city (head office) and secondary cities (branch office) working seamlessly to mitigate this crisis. The primary purpose of this study is to investigate how the hotel industry is handling the challenges during pandemic COVID-19 in the secondary cities. This study adopted qualitative research with 12 semi-structured interviews from various hotel managers in multiple cities. The result showed some discrepancies in the interrelationship between the head office and the branch office in secondary cities, creating uncertainties among them. This study contributed to the crisis management literature in hospitality and tourism industry by exploring the challenges from the pandemic of COVID-19 among cities in Indonesia.

This study aims to determine the effect of quality of work life on worker performance when working from home (WFH) with job satisfaction and organizational commitment as intervening variables at PT Patra Jasa Head Office. The research method used is a quantitative method. The research population is all employees of PT Patra Jasa with a minimum working period of 1 year, which is 144 people. All members of the population are used as members of the sample (census technique). Primary data collection using a questionnaire instrument. The technique of analyzing and testing the hypothesis is using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) with the SmartPLS version 3.0 application. Partial results of hypothesis testing prove that the quality of work life, organizational commitment, and quality of work life through organizational commitment have no positive and significant effect on worker performance when WFH. Job satisfaction and quality of work life through job satisfaction have a positive and significant effect on worker performance when WFH. Furthermore, simultaneous hypothesis testing with multiple linear regression models has a coefficient of determination (R2) of 67%, quality of work life through job satisfaction and organizational commitment has a strong effect on worker performance when WFH.

The implementation and institutionalization of democracy with the absence of substantial democratization in the lower level of community does necessarily cause a problem. What it has been becoming a culture and being embraced by people for hundred or even thousand years, would be difficult to be transformed, even though its canalization is in the form of constitution. It may work in the conceptual level yet it may find obstacles in the implementation one. This condition influences the implementation of Village Constitution. The village democracy institutionalization is the focus of this study that covers three forms, they are: the election of village head, the village head election disputes, and term of office of village head. The research method of this study is normative-juridical. The writer initially studied the juridical provisions concerning the three main problems above, and then analyzed the implementation problems in the field. The result of this research showed that the direct election of village heads, village head election disputes done by the regional head, and term of office of the village head office for six (6) years in three periods as it is written on Laws Number. 6 of 2014, causes many problems theoretically as well as philosophically.  The result of this study is described descriptively and analytically in the analysis part

Modern publishing businesses need a complex roadmap for developing print and digital directions, and lack of the strategy for media means overload with unnecessary current activities for employees, lack of attention to readers and advertisers and dissatisfaction with the financial achievements by head office. The proposed paper attempts to understand the usage patterns and preferences of audience for print trade magazine. The questionnaire is based on the theory of the functions of the trade press to make sure that the magazine performs the established functions for its audience. The data also helped establish the demographics of the magazine's audience. The findings of the study enable to throw light on the present media usage habits and to examine the trade media consumption behavior. The study showed that the audience of the trade media is very homogeneous and characterized by similar socio-economic characteristics. Even though the study gives insights into current trade press preferences of audience, the results may not be generalized as every audience has own territorial, gender and financial differences and diversified socio-economic background. The study can be further extended by taking a sample from different types of trade media.

Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan dengan metode kualitatif. Mengumpulkan dan mengolah data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, interview, dokumentasi dan Triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa kegiatan pelatihan belum optimal. Diharapkan instruktur pelatihan dapat menumbuhkan motivasi karyawan dalam mengikuti kegiatan pelatihan. Diperlukan tambahan atau perubahan metode instruktur dalam menyampaikan materi pelatihan. Serta diperlukan kebijakan perusahaan yang mengatur peserta wajib mengikuti jadwal pelatihan yang telah ditentukan perusahaan. Mengenai Produktitvitas kerja divisi Human Capital pada PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk belum optimal, belum sesuai dengan yang diharapkan perusahaan. Menurut hasil penelusuran yang peneliti lakukan, masih banyak karyawan yang kurang disiplin waktu, kurang loyal memprioritaskan yang menjadi aspek penilaian, dan minim komunikasi serta kurang motivasi untuk mengembangkan ilmu serta kemampuannya.
