Light penetrates the human eye through the cornea, which is the outer part of the eye, and then the cornea directs it to the pupil to determine the amount of light that reaches the lens of the eye. Accordingly, the human cornea must not be exposed to any damage or disease that may lead to human vision disturbances. Such damages can be revealed by topographic images used by ophthalmologists. Consequently, an important priority is the early and accurate diagnosis of diseases that may affect corneal integrity through the use of machine learning algorithms, particularly, use of local feature extractions for the image. Accordingly, we suggest a new algorithm called local information pattern (LIP) descriptor to overcome the lack of local binary patterns that loss of information from the image and solve the problem of image rotation. The LIP based on utilizing the sub-image center intensity for estimating neighbors' weights that can use to calculate what so-called contrast based centre (CBC). On the other hand, calculating local pattern (LP) for each block image, to distinguish between two sub-images having the same CBC. LP is the sum of transitions of neighbors' weights, from sub-image center value to one and vice versa. Finally, creating histograms for both CBC and LP, then blending them to represent a robust local feature vector. Which can use for diagnosing, detecting.

Systems presenting information that encourages competition by using rankings and scores (hereafter referred to as competition information) have become widespread to support behavioral change. However, users without high levels of motivation, such as behavior change support targets, do not necessarily benefit from competition information. In this study, we propose a method to control the psychological effects caused by competition information to support behavior change. We implemented a competition information presentation system using step counts logs to support increasing one’s daily steps. We designed two patterns of competition information considering psychological effects. One is likely to have good effects, using three mechanisms to easily obtain results corresponding to the effort, make closely matched rivals with similar abilities, and pay attention to a small number of rivals. The other is unlikely to have positive effects and may potentially even have negative ones, using a mechanism that brings about the opposite results of the former pattern. We evaluated 42 participants with low levels of motivation over six weeks. The results showed that the former information pattern increased participants’ step counts by about 1000 steps per day, and the latter information pattern did not lead to an increase. We confirmed the feasibility of the proposed method and discussed the possibility of the appropriate use and potential abuse of such techniques for manipulating motivation. Our study can be helpful in designing a competition information presentation system considering psychological effects.

Movie subtitle translation is the transfer of meaning from source text into target text in the form of text under the screen with limited time and characters. One of the problems in translating movie subtitle is the information pattern. Information patterns are how the information is organized. This information arrangement includes information status and information urgency. This research uses descriptive and comparative methods. The results of the study indicate that (i) there are parallels in information pattern urgency, namely foreground position tends to be in the beginning of the speech; (ii) the misalignment of information status occurs in sentences translation with it subject and that impersonal and in interrogative and imperative sentences translation, as well as in sentences translation with the non-doer subject.

Aim: To assess the pattern of firearm injuries and different effecting factors based on gender in Hyderabad, Sindh, Pakistan. Study Design: Retrospective and descriptive Place and duration of study: Depart. Forensic Medicine & Toxicology, BMC LUMHS Jamshoro 01-01-2017 to 31-12-2019. Methodology: Three hundred and nineteen autopsies based on purposive sampling method were revealed the death due to firearm injuries. The demographic information, pattern of death due to firearm and which part of body involved based on variables. Results: There were 267 males and 52 were females and 95 firearm autopsies were between 31 to 40 years. It was revealed that in 38 autopsies, head was involved, 78 autopsies chest was involved, 76 autopsies abdomen was involved while 267 were from homicidal. Moreover, the cause of death due to firearm in maximum patients was hemorrhage followed by septicemia in 106 autopsies. According to gender wise, 38 autopsies involved head part 30 were male and 8 were female, 78 autopsies involved chest part 65 were male and 13 were female, 76 autopsies involved abdomen part 66 were male and 10 were female. Conclusion: The high impact on the health care setups of country, which needs the immediate attention. The firearm injuries have an impact on young and older adult population. Key words: Firearm injury, Gender, Age

It is shown that associative memory networks are capable of solving immediate and general reinforcement learning (RL) problems by combining techniques from associative neural networks and reinforcement learning and in particular Q-learning. The modified model is shown to outperform native RL techniques on a stochastic grid world task by developing correct policies. In addition, we formulated an analogous method to add feature extraction as dimensional reduction and eligibility traces as another mechanism to help solve the credit assignment problem. The network contrary to pure RL methods is based on associative memory principles such as distribution of information, pattern completion, Hebbian learning, and noise tolerance (limit cycles, one to many associations, chaos, etc). Because of this, it can be argued that the model possesses more cognitive explanative power than other RL or hybrid models. It may be an effective tool for bridging the gap between biological memory models and computational memory models.

Each person resonates to every word, if he understands it and wants to know how much he can use the thinking and understanding speech done in completely different situations [1,2]. My philosophy of cosmic being promotes the information medicine so that everyone could understand the primary significance of own and social health along with importance of caring about the world inhabited by people. The existence of information rays was proved by experimental documentation of sight's nature as integrated part of reality which can be revealed by intellectual observations. Information rays pass through all informational spacetime (information pattern field) without obstacles and interact with matter and energy according to the quantum principle of equivalence E = imc2, e.g. natural laws of fertility and carcinogenesis links applied medicine with modern technology [3, 4].

Abstract There are key unanswered questions when it comes to multi-component odor discrimination. This study was designed to assess discrimination of odorant mixtures that elicit a singular percept. We collected data to address the following two questions: 1) What odor features do humans notice when attempting to discriminate between subtly different odor mixtures? 2) Are odor mixtures easier to discriminate when an odorant is added, compared to when a component is removed? Using modern aroma chemistry techniques, an odor mixture resembling a generic white wine was constructed. This wine odor mixture was modified using a series of 3 esters which are commonly found in white wines that vary in chain length and branching. Participants performed a sequence of discrimination tasks for the addition / subtraction of modifiers to the base wine at different concentrations. Only one of the esters (ethyl-propanoate) led to a discriminable odor mixture. As concentration of the modifying odorant was increased, discrimination of odor mixtures was first reported because of changes in odor mixture familiarity and then intensity. We found similar sensitivity to changes in odor mixtures regardless whether the modifying compound was added or subtracted, suggesting that perceptual stability of odor mixtures is equally dependent on both imputing missing information (pattern completion) and disregarding extraneous information.
