Abstract: The quick response code (QR) has become most popular barcode because of its larger data capacity and increased damage resistance. Barcode scanners can easily extract information hidden in the QR code when scanning data forms. However, some confidential data stored directly in QR codes are not secure in real world QR apps. To proposed approach to visual secret sharing scheme to encode a secret QR code into distinct shares. In assessment with other techniques, the shares in proposed scheme are valid QR codes that may be decoded with some unique that means of a trendy QR code reader, so that escaping increases suspicious attackers. An existing sharing technique is subjected to loss of security. On this premise, consider the strategy for (k, n) get to structures by using the (k, k) sharing occurrence on each k-member subset dependent on specific relationship. In addition, the secret message is recovered with the aid of XOR-ing the qualified shares. This operation which can effortlessly be achieved the use of smartphones or different QR scanning gadgets. Contribution work is, working on optimal partitioning methods and compare original message with shared message using hashing techniques. There are many different ways by which a user can make cashless payments—online banking, credit and debit cards, e-wallets, and QR codes just to name a few. The adoption of the methods of payment is largely determined by government rules as well as regulations in the respective countries. Hence, this study provides an in-depth discussion regarding the trends of e-payment adoption in selected countries. To strengthen the case for the digitalisation of transactions, the authors also consider the advantages of moving towards a cashless society. In addition, major issues that hinder the growth in the global adoption of e-payments found in cross-border transactions will be discussed. Furthermore, this chapter also explores the potential adaptation of blockchain technology on e-payment systems to solve the instant cross-border payment issue.


The COVID-19 has influenced customers' purchasing behavior, especially the acceptability of mobile payments based on quick response (QR) codes. Sustainability is key for retail to thrive. In this context, customer acceptance of QR code–enabled m-payments needs further improvement. This study examines the critical antecedents affecting QR code–enabled m-payments acceptance intention, with the aim of determining why customers must accept QR codes. The Mobile Technology Acceptance Model was modified, as we examined ease of use, usefulness, transaction convenience, transaction speed, attitudes, optimism, and personal innovativeness to investigate customers’ adoption of mobile shopping in grocery stores using questionnaire survey data of 351 respondents. Most constructs in the model influence shoppers’ intentions for accepting QR code–enabled m-payments. Consumers are more likely to use mobile shopping channels if the system is simple and easy to use. A validated model would be an invaluable guide for researchers during the creation and improvement of QR code–enabled m-payments studies.

The necessity of the correction of errors emerging during the optical encryption process led to the extensive use of data containers such as QR codes. However, due to specifics of optical encryption, QR codes are not very well suited for the task, which results in low error correction capabilities in optical experiments mainly due to easily breakable QR code’s service elements and byte data structure. In this paper, we present optical implementation of information optical encryption system utilizing new multilevel customizable digital data containers with high data density. The results of optical experiments demonstrate efficient error correction capabilities of the new data container.

Significance A parallel bill requiring people to show electronic QR codes for train and air travel has been withdrawn. Both bills were halted by public opposition and President Vladimir Putin's call for a rethink. Meanwhile, 35 of Russia's 85 regions have relaxed their own restrictions ahead of the New Year holiday. Impacts Regional governments will have to face the new burden created by the Omicron variant, adding to the strain on their budgets. Substantial federal support for businesses affected by the new virus wave is unlikely. The Sputnik V booster will be introduced, although a mass roll-out is unlikely to occur before Omicron takes hold.

Agarwal et al. ( 2019 ). Mobile wallet and entrepreneurial growth. AEA Papers and Proceedings, 109, 48–53 analyze the impact of the introduction of quick response (QR) codes for mobile payments in Singapore. They find that this not only resulted in a significant increase in the use of mobile wallets, but that there was also a positive spillover effect on debit and credit card payments — in particular at small and new businesses. This note argues that the increase in card sales cannot have been driven by the QR code technology. I also proffer an alternative explanation, namely, that Agarwal et al. simply capture the concurrent increase in popularity of contactless cards.
