There are many different ways by which a user can make cashless payments—online banking, credit and debit cards, e-wallets, and QR codes just to name a few. The adoption of the methods of payment is largely determined by government rules as well as regulations in the respective countries. Hence, this study provides an in-depth discussion regarding the trends of e-payment adoption in selected countries. To strengthen the case for the digitalisation of transactions, the authors also consider the advantages of moving towards a cashless society. In addition, major issues that hinder the growth in the global adoption of e-payments found in cross-border transactions will be discussed. Furthermore, this chapter also explores the potential adaptation of blockchain technology on e-payment systems to solve the instant cross-border payment issue.

The background of this research is the experience of students with the problems they face during distance learning or online due to Covid-19 which requires students to follow government rules, namely doing distance learning or online. The informants or respondents in this study were several students majoring in . The data collected by the researcher was based on online interviews conducted with 15 students The data analysis used interactive analysis technique by Miles Hubberman. The researcher arranges several questions that must be asked of the participants to obtain the required information. In the online teaching and learning process during the covid-19 pandemic, various problems experienced by students are as follows, the most dominant problem when carrying out online learning is the limited internet network, especially for students who live in rural areas.

Taxi as a means of transportation has been emerging as a handy option for people of any age for any occasion if they need to travel. Thus, this study aims to analyze challenges on taxi management in Kathmandu valley, Nepal, from the perspective of taxi drivers. A descriptive method is applied in the survey, and qualitative analysis is made among 386 taxi drivers of Kathmandu valley. The study's findings revealed that 77% of taxi drivers face challenges in the valley. Significant challenges arise from increasing private vehicles and easy access to public transportation, emergence of online vehicle service providers, government rules and regulations, and parking difficulties. Therefore, the study concludes that policymakers and responsible authorities should consider the strategy to improvise the overall taxi management system in the valley. This study can be useful to concerned authorities in taxi management services to make strategies for the betterment and to mitigate the challenges in the field. If the taxi management system got effective, that would be encouragement for other vehicle management.

Transportation as a means of supporting economic development and community development and industrial growth needs to get the main attention when conditions enter the New Normal Era because Indonesia is still experiencing a high level of spread where the mode of transportation used by many people can be a medium of spreading the COVID-19 virus. The purpose of this research is to provide legal protection to passengers by the carrier as an effort to care about the safety, comfort, safety of passengers as users of transportation services that the carrier must protect by adjusting existing regulations and in its implementation required supervision from the Government and the public. This research is normative legal research that uses a legislative approach and is sourced from primary legal materials. The data was collected by studying libraries sourced from primary, secondary, and non-legal legal materials. The research results prove that the legal protection of passengers by the carrier can run well if the passengers consciously adhere to the Health Protocol and comply with government rules as a form of effort to maintain all transportation elements with all activities. So these efforts have an impact on preventing the spread of the COVID-19 virus that is increasing in Indonesia.

Purpose: The study aims to develop a conceptual framework based on the existing labor turnover model and test it empirically.  The model tested how dissatisfaction with government rules and regulations, work environment, social environment, and shock to the system and demographic factors impact turnover. Design/Methodology/Approach: This is a cross-sectional study conducted based on data collected from 384 employees who have left the garment industry in Sri Lanka. Data were analyzed through Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and Multiple Regression Analysis. Findings: The results indicate dissatisfaction with government rules and regulations, work environment, social environment, a shock to the system, age, service, and income significantly influence labor turnover.  Research Limitations/Implications:  The scope of this study did not cover factors that can affect employees' turnover, such as dissatisfaction with low performance, voice, and neglect of work, high absenteeism, and grievances.  Practical Implications: Policy-makers can use the tested model to determine the causes of the existing issue of labor turnover and intervene to formulate strategies/policies, devise solutions for the same.  Management intervention would be effective to help handle and minimize problems associated with the existing issue of labor turnover. Originality/Value: To date, previous studies are based on the existing employees' intention to quit. However, the present study considers employees who have already quit the industry; thus, the study fills the empirical gap in the area of research on labor turnover.

Higher energy demands in favorable energy prices increasing people's affordability of the cooling devices, causing most building and residential areas to wear air conditioning systems. Higher energy saving, efficiency, and eco-friendly equipment have become a challenge for manufacturers and researchers. Also, Indonesia's government rules the energy efficiency by SKEM (Minimum Standard of Energy Performance) by air conditioning equipment's labeling. In this study, the use of perforated ceiling was selected due to the excellent air distribution performance of the panels. This study analyzes the air circulation distribution (air loop) in a psychometric chamber using computational fluid dynamics (CFD), especially placing the air conditioner test unit. The numerical studies are performed with porous media models. A CFD model was used to analyze the air distribution in the psychrometric chamber. The simulation results show that the higher value of C1 resulted in a higher value of velocity. Furthermore, the pressure drop in the test chamber did not show any significant influence. In all cases, the influence of C1 value did not significantly affect the air movement in the test chamber.

The construction industry is one of the largest industries in any country, contributing significantly to economic growth. A range of researchers explained that the construction industry suffered from numerous issues where financial issues are more critical. Late payments, cash flow issues, and lack of security of the payment are some of them. Blockchain technology shows a potential use for managing financial activities. Therefore, this research tends to investigate the applicability of blockchain technology to manage financial issues in the Sri Lankan construction industry. A comprehensive literature survey was carried out to assess the concept of blockchain technology and identified financial issues in the construction industry. A qualitative expert opinion survey was conducted with eight construction experts who had knowledge of the blockchain technology, selected through purposive sampling to collect data in a Sri Lankan context. The collected data was analysed using the content analysis method. The findings of the expert interviews indicated that faster transactions would help to reduce late payments; removing third parties from the transaction will reduce the involvement of many parties in the transaction process; and trust, security, transparency will help to increase foreign investments. Further, the lack of knowledge in the area, legal and tax issues, low investment, and social issues will be the challenges in adopting blockchain technology to the construction industry. The research finally suggests the ways to overcome such challenges in terms of using pilot projects, government rules and regulation. Thus, the research proposes that use of blockchain technology could minimise a significant number of financial issues in the construction industry.

Beedi fabricating is perhaps the biggest business in India utilizing a huge number of laborers, lion’s share of them beingladies and kids. It falls under the class of sloppy area and thusly draws in numerous shades of malice like helpless workingconditions, absence of execution of government rules and guidelines, work of kid work, low wages, sporadic business, etc.The government has arranged and carried out numerous government assistance plans for these laborers that incorporate health advantages, protection, lodging, schooling, diversion, maternity, and so on for their upliftment. Nonetheless, the degree of attention to these plans is very low and execution is negligible because of the low degree of training among these specialists. The current investigation dives into the segment profile of these specialists alongside their degree of mindfulness in regard to government assistance plans. The information was gathered from Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh from 347 respondents. The information was investigated utilizing proportions of focal inclination, chi-square test and Kruskal-Wallis test. The definite investigation of information uncovered that these specialists are having low pay and instruction-level, generally utilizing ladies from the moderately aged gatherings. These laborers are tolerably mindful about the plans and lower age-bunch laborers are more mindful about government assistance programs than their senior partners. The investigation proposes approaches to ad-lib the everyday environments of these laborers and plans to make mindfulness about the government assistance program of the public authority.
