The Meteorological (Met) Sections at IAF bases closely monitor a Tropical Cyclone formation, intensification and movement and issue storm warning to safeguard its valuable property that primarily includes Aircrafts. It also provides the weather services for all the helicopter/Aircraft Rescue Operations that are taken up after the fury of the cyclone experienced at a place. Generation of real time forecast from model studies is in the Research Stage in IAF.  A meso-scale model (MM5) studies of super cyclone of Orissa were carried out by IAF Met to generate forecast tracks of the Cyclone using Grell and Kain-Fritsch 2 (with shallow convection) cumulus parameterization scheme.  The Grell scheme indicated the track slightly close to the actual track of the storm. The KF2 scheme led to the generation of the track that indicated the re-curvature of the system in to West Bengal and adjoining regions.

Abstract Winter wheat breeding aimed at improving productivity is one of the most difficult tasks, which is associated with this trait unusual complexity. The length of a vegetation period is an important adaptive and economically valuable property, which is closely related to productivity, grain quality, drought resistance, and diseases. To a greater extent, the productivity potential is associated with the length of individual interphase periods, each of which plays a certain role in productivity formation. The length of individual interphase periods of plant development is affected by temperature conditions and water regime. The data obtained show that during the years of study a higher productivity was formed by the varieties with a longer period ‘beginning of a spring vegetation period – a heading phase’ and ‘a heading phase – complete ripeness’. The total vegetation period for these varieties and lines was also for two-three days longer. In our trials the variety ‘Univer’ was the most productive with 9.82 t/ha with 252 days of the vegetation period. The line 1005/14 was also productive with 9.81 t/ha and 251 days of a vegetation period as well as the variety ‘Donskaya Stepp’ with 9.61 t/ha and 251 days.

In Lithuanian literature, žeme ‘land, earth, ground’ is understood as a planet, as one of the four elements, as an element in opposition to water, or as solid ground. It differs from the sky and stands in opposition to it because the sky is good, while žeme is full of things that are unfriendly to people. Žeme is the world with life going on; buildings stand on its surface, people sit, stand or lie on it, etc. It is the most valuable property that can be sold, given, leased, or left as inheritance. People are interested not only in what is going on its surface but also in the layer that is cultivated (soil). People want this layer to grow flowers, trees and grass for them. They find various things in this layer and think that land can hide a lot from them. Žeme is the mother that provides life and shelter after death. It takes care of people, feeds them and talks to them. It also serves as a reference frame on the basis of which people evaluate large and small things or things hanging above it. Žeme can refer to a specific state or a nation that lives in own land, as well as to a person’s native home and lives of their ancestors. Žeme is alive as much as humans are: it has a face, parts of the body and internal organs, it experiences human emotions and has divine powers. Žeme can be of various colours: from the traditional colour of fertile soil, i.e., black, to subtle shades, such as yellowish brown or blue. It is also characterised through most unusual words, such as “sinful”, “juicy”, “slim”, “like caviar” and others. The smell of žeme is also exceptional: it is wet and sour. It smells of oats, barley, summer home – the smell fills people’s hearts with joy, evokes memories and longing.

The research aims to form an idea of the value content of the Russian heroic folk epic based on the consequences of the actions folk heroes undertake. The research method is an axiological analysis, which examines the values motivating the hero, the deed he commits, and the consequences (positive or negative) of this deed. Russian folk epics – despite their variability and no well-established scholarly opinion on their content and conception – reveal characteristic integrity and coherence when given an axiological interpretation. The latter implies that the following elements should be analysed: the values that motivate the hero, his deed, and its consequences (positive or negative). In Russian bylinas, one can easily discern such value categories as fame (slava), honour (chest’), fortune–fate (talan-uchast’), strength (sila), knightly heart (serdtse bogatyrskoe), and anger (gnev). Each category implies two plot-accentuated invariants: positive and negative. For example, the word ‘fame’ (or the phrase ‘great fame’ (slavushka velikaya)) may indicate both personal fame (almost inevitably pernicious for the hero) and the so-called common fame of all Russian knights (bogatyrs), service to which enables the character to save his life and freedom. Analogically, the word ‘honour’ may imply both personal material-symbolic ‘honour’ (i.e., valuable property, signs of public recognition, etc.) and ‘honor’ as related to some ‘external’ – from the hero’s perspective – realities: sacred objects, religious institutions and principles. Based on the positive or negative consequences provoked by the hero’s deed – the deed motivated by a certain variational value – this value is either strengthened or rejected. This regularity allows formulating an ‘axiomotif’ (a semantic or plot element, in which, via a cause-and-effect relationship of spiritual-psychological nature, the hero’s motivation, his deed, and the natural – from the perspective of an epic consciousness – consequences of this very deed merge into an inseparable unity), classifying different bylina plots (the author suggests distinguishing four plot types), and generally describing the semantics of Russian folk epics. Given the fact that, in Russian bylinas, the rejected values are conditionally non-Christian (particularly, personal fame and personal honour – as compared with the categories of Kievan knights’ common fame and the ‘honour’ of Orthodox sacred objects and principles, which are strengthened as bylina plots progress), it is only natural to assert that Russian epic poetry is profoundly Christian.

A popular but contested view is that mass rezoning is an essential policy measure to address housing affordability. Often obscured in debates about this measure is that rezoning involves the privatization of public space. We clarify the nature of the policy by recognizing that property rights over land are, conceptually, a bundle of socially negotiated rights to parcels of airspace. This view shows that rezoning to provide rights to airspace for existing landowners is not costless. It involves transferring valuable property rights from the public to existing private landowners for free, creating a more unequal distribution of property rights ownership without necessarily generating faster housing development. We argue that giving away public rights to airspace should not be done for free and explore what policy measures retain value from residential rezoning for the public.

The article reveals the evolution of the Section 191 “Unauthorised Activities with Goods and Other Valuable Property Subject to Customs Clearance” of the Criminal Law of the Republic of Latvia. Author draws the attention to significant changes in grammatical, systematic and teleological interpretation of the scope of this legal norm. It has been found that current criminal offence no longer provides for a criminal liability for unlawful activities with smuggled goods in the interior market but it distinctly criminalizes violations of the rules of customs procedures when the goods have been previously imported lawfully.

In the past Christine Korsgaard has argued that when Kant claims we value our humanity as an end in itself, he means that we take the value of the power of rational choice to be the condition of the value of our ends, and therefore to be unconditional. Here she reexamines these arguments by raising questions about the nature of valuing. She argues that valuing our moral nature does not imply thinking ourselves superior to non-moral creatures. She identifies two different ways of valuing ourselves that are at work in Kant’s arguments, regarding humanity as a valuable property and as the source of normative standing. She argues that we value ourselves as ends both in the sense of attributing normative standing to ourselves and in the sense that we regard our ends as good because they are good for us, a sense which extends to the other animals.

Centering on disabled people’s experiences of complex embodiment under slavery, this chapter highlights the shifting boundaries of “unsoundness.” Enslaved people experienced congenital disabilities but also acquired impairments as a result of labor accidents, punishments, and aging. Bondpeople were valuable “property” as laborers and potential reproducers of future generations of slaves, so the condition of their bodies and minds were central to slaveholders’ pursuit of economic gain. This emphasis on sound bodies and minds dominated the historical record left by slaveholders and, in turn, shaped scholarship about the institution. Clinical and detached assessments of “slave health” and assumptions about labor potential obscure the point that many people navigated a lifetime of enslavement with various disabilities.

In modern business conditions, a special place belongs to the services provided by ICT companies. The most valuable property of these companies is human capital, ie employees with their knowledge, abilities and possibilities. The subject of research is human capital as one of the most important components of intellectual capital. The aim of this paper is to analyze human capital and its basic components: learning and education, experience and expertise, and innovation and creativity. In the period June-August 2020, research was conducted in ICT companies of the Republic of Serbia. The findings of the research showed that the employees in these companies assessed learning and education as the most important factor of human capital. These results should serve as a guideline for managers to identify the components of human capital that need to be further acted upon in order to improve the overall performance of employees, which directly reflects on the growth and development of the company itself.

The article developed the mathematical model for the synthesis of ornamental images and implemented the software editor of ornamental images, based on symmetry theory. The paper shows the fundamental role of symmetry. It is analyzed that the symmetry theory methods are used in physics, chemistry, biology, and engineering. It was found that symmetry is based on transformation and storage. In addition, the symmetrical system is based on a set of invariants that are built according to certain rules. It is shown that the symmetry of borders and the symmetry of mesh ornaments are used in ornaments. The synthesis of ornamental images is considered on the example of Ukrainian folk embroidery. The contribution of foreign and domestic scientists to the development of the symmetry theory and synthesis of images is analyzed. It is indicated that Ukrainian folk embroidery is the valuable property of the cultural and material heritage of people and an important source of research. It is analyzed that there are more than 100 types of different embroidery techniques. The role of famous Ukrainian artists in the popularization and organization of Ukrainian folk embroidery museums is presented. It is investigated that embroidery is built from separate motives or from ornaments. Ornaments consist of sub-ornaments. A sub-ornament is a pattern consisting of rhythmically ordered identical elements (built on one group transformation). Subornaments are divided into reports. The report is called the minimum for the area of the area that can cover the sub-ornament, using only transfers. The report, in turn, is divided into even smaller particles: motive or elementary picture. It is found that in embroidery ornaments there are 7 groups of stripe and 12 - plan. Mathematical models of images-ornaments synthesis for groups of a strip and plan groups are developed. Mathematical models are given for ideal ornaments. If offsets of axes or centers of symmetries, it is necessary to adjust the coefficients of transformation matrices displacement. Samples of embroidered ornaments of the corresponding plane and stripe groups are provided. Editor of image-ornaments has been developed, which allows the synthesis of complex ornamental images based on analytical formulas of elementary picture, sub-ornament, and ornament. Examples of real and synthesized samples of Ukrainian folk embroidery are provided. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the development of mathematical models of ornaments on the basis of symmetry groups on the strip and the plane. The practical value of the work lies in the development of an image editor-ornaments.
