There are plenty of misconceptions about how the Luther Renaissance in Sweden relates to Albrecht Ritschl and nineteenth-century German Luther research. This article sheds new light on the importance of Ritschl's groundbreaking Luther interpretation to the first generation of the Swedish Luther Renaissance, as represented by its leading voices – Einar Billing and Nathan Söderblom. I demonstrate that there are substantial similarities between how Ritschl, Billing, and Söderblom approach and make use of Luther's thought. They all combine a careful analysis of Luther's theology with an interest in understanding his role in history. And despite their high regard of Luther as the great Protestant reformer, Ritschl, Billing, and Söderblom at times show a considerable distance to his thinking. It is also evident that they found solutions to contemporary questions and challenges in Luther's writings. Their constructive use of Luther is, I further argue, closely related to a positive reception of historical criticism and an ambition to make Lutheranism relevant to modern society. This to a large extent explains why Ritschl, Billing, and Söderblom have a freer attitude towards Luther than many of their Lutheran colleagues, and also why they emphasize those aspects of his theology that they consider especially fruitful for modern society.

The article presents the results of research in 2019-2020 of the 10th century settlement on a multi-layered hillfort near the village of Spitsino (4th -5th, 10th centuries). The monument is located at a considerable distance from the main river routes in the region, which excludes its relationship with the Upper Oka section of the Don trade route in the 9th -10th centuries. A significant part of the finds discovered during exploration 2019, are of Northern European origin and date back to the mid. - 2nd half 10th century. There are also a few finds related to steppe antiquities. According to the materials of the excavations, the buildings of two construction periods are identified. The ceramic complex of buildings of the early construction period is represented by fragments of stucco vessels of the Romaine type and redeposited fragments of vessels of the 4th - 5th century. Fragments of early vessels made on a potter's wheel dating from the second half of the 10th century are found in the ceramic complex of the late construction period. Thus, the monument can be attributed to the period of the middle - second half of the 10th century. This period until recently represented a chronological lacuna in the period of Slavic colonization of the region.

Dual tasks are fundamental and standard for daily walking and balance movements. However, further research is required to determine the comprehensive postural profile during challenging dual cognitive tasks. To distinguish the influence of dual cognitive tasks on anterior-posterior (AP) and mediolateral (ML) jerk (direction of sway), velocity, and distance in young adults with normal balance systems. Nineteen subjects took part in this inquiry (2 males and 17 females), with a mean age of 23.9+\- 2.3 years. The participants were instrumented using a lumbar accelerometer and a dynamometer designed to capture sway. All subjects completed eight balance tests comprising four single and four dual-cognitive tasks involving counting backward by three, starting at the number 100 (dual-task). Postural modifications were prominent in the AP direction, with a faster jerk, velocity, and considerable distance than in the ML direction. The introduction to challenging balance situations, including dual tasks, provoke AP direction adaptations to preserve balance through variations in AP parameters, indicating the engagement of the sensory reweighting system.

In ’The Passage of Time,’1 a teacher considers resigning in order to return to his hometown, but he receives notice that he can move to the place he has requested. Homesickness is treated as though it were a formidable foe in this short story. Even if it is a "barren, parched desert," like the situation in the story, identity is usually linked to the location to which it belongs. However, it is possible that one will have to relocate for few reasons. Displacement can have emotional and psychological implications, which can hinder one's ability to work. The teacher in the story is not in a teaching mode; he is drawn “toward the place...” from which “a considerable distance...2 separates him.” All he has left are "his ideas and memories" that bind him to his home. The memo he receives at the end of this story represents a new hope for him to reclaim what he has lost in his village education. In brief, the story emphasizes the necessity of having a job and the difficulty of finding a good job in one's own neighborhood.

The invasive amphipod Gmelinoides fasciatus (Stebbing, 1899) was not previously recorded in the rivers of the Onega Lake basin, although it has spread widely in its littoral in recent years. In 2019 and 2020, this species was found to inhabit the estuarine zones of watercourses (the Rybreka River and the Drugaya River) at a considerable distance from the lacustrine littoral zone (0.5 and 1.7 km, respectively). It was revealed that G. fasciatus is included in the communities of both pools and riffles, and in some areas reaches dominant positions in the macrozoobenthos, which indicates the possibility of further expansion of its range due to the river ecosystems of the region.

Relevance. To provide emergency specialized neurosurgical care to patients living in rural areas, medical evacuation to a neurosurgical hospital is required. Despite the fact that medical evacuation is a necessary stage of medical care, there are not enough studies on the impact of transportation of patients with a ruptured cerebral aneurysm over long distances. There is little information about the time intervals for transportation, the timing of the start of treatment and the outcomes of the disease in patients who are at a considerable distance from the neurosurgical hospital.Aim of the study. To analyze the impact on the extensive results of surgical treatment of patients with cerebral aneurysm rupture.Material and methods. A retrospective analysis of the results of surgical treatment of 145 patients with cerebral aneurysm rupture in the acute period of hemorrhage, hospitalized in the regional vascular center of the State Budgetary Institution of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) “Republican Hospital No. 2 — Center for Emergency Medical Aid” in the period from 01.01.2017 to 31.12.2018. Patients were divided into two groups: Group I — patients from remote areas of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) who underwent medical evacuation by the Disaster Medicine Service of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia); Group II — hospitalized from the territory of the city of Yakutsk and its nearest suburbs.Results. 145 patients were hospitalized at the regional vascular center in Yakutsk. Sanaviation (Sanitary Aviation) delivered 91 patients from the districts of the republic to the regional vascular center (62.8% of the total number of patients) (Group I), 54 patients (37.2%) were hospitalized from the territory of the urban district of Yakutsk (Group II). The distance of transportation by ambulance aircraft in Group I ranged from 45 to 1330 kilometers. Deterioration from admission to the local medical organization to admission to the regional vascular center was noted in 8 patients (8.8%), improvement in the condition in 25 (27.5%) patients, there were no dynamics of changes in the state of 58 (63.7%) patients. The total number of deaths in two groups of patients was 11 (12.1%) patients. Postoperative mortality had no statistically significant differences between the two study groups: in Group I — 7.7% (7 patients), in Group II — 7.4% (4 observations) (p=1,000).Conclusions. With an established system of medical evacuation, transportation over a considerable distance does not worsen the course of the disease and the results of surgical treatment of patients with cerebral aneurysm ruptures in the acute period of hemorrhage.

Abstract We analyze the rise and loss of isoglosses in two Indo-European languages, early Greek and early English, which, however, show considerable distance between their structures in many other domains. We follow Keidan’s approach (2013), that has drawn the attention on the fact that the study of isoglosses (i.e., linguistic features common to two or more languages) is connected with common innovations of particular languages after the split into sub-groups of Indo-European: this type of approach aims at collecting isoglosses that appear across the branches of Indo-European. We examine the rise of the isogloss of labile verbs and the loss of the isogloss of the two classes of aspectual verbs in early Greek and early English. Our study shows that the rise of labile verbs in both languages is related to the innovative use of intransitives in causative constructions. On the other hand, the innovations in voice morphology follow different directions in Greek and English and are unrelated to the rise of labile verbs. In contrast to labile verbs, which are still predominant for causative-anticausative constructions in both languages, the two classes of aspectual verbs are lost in the later stages of Greek but are predominant even in Present-day English. Again, a “prerequisite” change for the isogloss can be easily located in a structural ambiguity that is relevant for aspectual verbs in early Greek and early English. However, another independent development, the changes in verbal complementation (the development of infinitival and participial complements) in Greek and English, determined the loss of this isogloss.

Introduction. The authors analyze previously unknown documents of the Russian archive of Jan Sapieha dating back to 1608–1611. Methods and materials. In the course of the study such methods as archaeography, paleography, historical and linguistic source studies were applied. The published materials complement significantly the fund of documents of the period and fill the existing “gaps” in available accumulated information in the preserved and previously published materials of the reconstructed archive fund, clarifying the chronology of events in Poshekhonsky and Uglichsky counties in the period from autumn 1608 till spring 1609 and expanding the scientific understanding of clerical practice in the Time of Troubles. Analysis. Two published newly found petitions of the mayors son of the boyar poshekhonets to False Dmitry II and Podorozhny, the only one of its kind that has come down to us, show that the possibilities of studying the archive of Jan Sapieha are far from exhausted. Results. As a result of the multifaceted analysis of the newly found materials, the informative value of the reconstructed archive was expanded, firstly, in terms of researching events that took place in lands that were located at a considerable distance from Sapezhin camps near Trinity and did not always fall into the field of view of the secretaries of the mercenary army leader; secondly, in the aspect of studying the genealogy of princes; thirdly, for the study of clerical documentation, including historical facts of changes in the order of promotion in the civil service of representatives of shabby families of service people during the Time of Troubles and the stages of development of business writing in terms of linguistic and documentary parameters of sources.
