Speaking skills is a crucial element which all students in Malaysian polytechnic should master. The new English syllabus introduced in Polytechnic is aimed at building confidence and fluency in English for students as well as enabling them to function effectively at the workplace. Majority of the Communicative English assessment requires students to communicate in English either as individuals or in groups, but many students are still reluctant to speak in front of the classroom and have a very low level of confidence. Thus, Video Project Assignment (VPA) is implemented to boost the achievement of students in the field of Communicative English. The aims of this study are 1) to analyse the student’s perception on the use of Video Project Assignment (VPA) in Communicative English subject, 2) to examine students’ engagement level towards the use of Video Project Assignment (VPA) based on emotional engagement and cognitive engagement and 3) to identify students’ achievement in DUE3012 Communicative English 2 subject. A set of questionnaire was used to gather data from thirty-three respondents from one of the polytechnics in Johor. Descriptive analysis technique was used to analyzed the data gathered from questionnaire. Result of the study indicates that by generating Video Project Assignment (VPA), students demonstrate positive perception, engagement, and achievement. This study also provides the students, lecturers, and potential researcher with a good inference.

This paper reports on non-specialist undergraduate English learners' perceptions about the use of video project in learning English, which was adopted to counter students’ low English learning motivation. Data were collected from the first-semester students of Hinduism Education Department in a state university in Indonesia. The students were taught English using group-based video projects where they developed their own scenarios, shot, edited, and presented their videos by themselves. Video production was used to enable the learners to use English actively and improve learners’ motivation to learn English in the future by promoting the learner’s sense of achievement. Using a questionnaire and interview, the researcher obtained data on students’ perceptions of the use of video project in learning English. The study results showed that the learners have a positive perception of the impact of video production on their English learning (dimension mean of 4.07). The learners also reported that video production improved their confidence in their English and increased their motivation (dimension mean of 4.17). Lastly, the learners considered video production as a feasible, enjoyable, and affordable way to learn English (dimension mean of 4.29).

<p class="15bIsiAbstractBInggris"><em>In this day and age, da'wah is not only done in the mosque by ustadz from mimbar to mimbar.  With the availability of highly advanced media in the 4.0 era, da'wah can be delivered in  various ways, one of which is through social media. This research was conducted to find out  whether the da'wah-da'wah carried out through social media really contains da'wah messages  or not. In this thesis will discuss the da'wah messages in the video project "Singlelilah"  uploaded on the YouTube channel Teladan Cinema and what da'wah methods were used by  the Teladan Cinema team in making this video.The research method used by the author is  descriptive qualitative, that is, research that produces descriptive data in the form of written  words from the person being observed. The data collection techniques used were observation,  direct interview techniques to sources, and documentation. From the research that has been  done, the video project "Singlelillah" contains all categories of da'wah messages that are  related to the propositions of the Al-Qur'an and Al-Hadith.</em><em> Th</em><em>is research  used is the method  of da'wah bi al hikmah</em><em>.</em></p><p class="16aJudulAbstrak"><strong>Abstrak</strong></p><p class="16bIsiAbstrak">Pada zaman sekarang, dakwah tidak hanya dilakukan di Masjid oleh seorang pencermah dari mimbar ke mimbar. Dengan ketersediaan media yang sudah sangat maju di era 4.0 ini dakwah bisa dilakukan dengan berbagai cara salah satunya melalui media sosial. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui apakah dakwah-dakwah yang dilakukan melalui sosial media benar-benar mengandung pesan dakwah atau tidak. Dalam penelitian ini akan dibahas pesan-pesan dakwah yang ada pada <em>video project </em>“Singlelilah” yang diunggah di channel youtube Teladan Cinema serta metode dakwah apa yang digunakan oleh team Teladan Cinema dalam membuat <em>video </em>ini. Metode penelitian yang digunakan oleh penulis adalah deskriptif kualitatif, yaitu penelitian yang menghasilkan data deskriptif berupa tulisan kata-kata dari orang yang diamati. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yakni dengan observasi, teknik wawancara secara langsung pada narasumber, dan dokumentasi. Dari hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, <em>video project </em>“Singlelillah” mengandung semua kategori pesan dakwah yang memiliki keterkaitan dengan dalil dari Al-Qur’an maupun Al-Hadits. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode dakwah bi al hikmah.</p>

The purpose of the study was to know the increase of English speaking using video project.  Moreover, the covid-19 pandemic era needs a learning process that can give appropriate facility for online learning. The method of study used one-group experimental. The participant was 25 students that are taken randomly. Data analysis used paired sample t-test. The results showed that there was an increase in the ability to speak English. From each component of the ability to speak English, the average score also increased. This has implications for understanding the concept of using facilities or appropriate learning methods. The concept of learning and teaching management must be by the backgrounds and needs of students.

[ Video Project As an Alternative Assessment in Learning Basic Chemistry Courses ] Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui respon mahasiswa dalam penggunaan tugas proyek video sebagai asesmen alternatif pada mata kuliah Kimia Dasar selama pembelajaran daring. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif. Data diperoleh dari calon guru (N = 80) yang diberikan tugas proyek video untuk menjelaskan materi dan soal-soal pada mata kuliah Kimia Dasar. Di akhir sesi, mahasiswa mengisi kuesioner untuk mengetahui tanggapan mahasiswa mengenai pembelajaran denga tugas proyek video. Wawancara juga dilakukan dalam penelitian ini. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa memberikan respon positif pada tugas proyek video memberikan manfaat bagi mahasiswa yaitu mahasiswa dapat menerapkan pengetahuan, meningkatkan motivasi, dan kemandirian dalam belajar. Selain itu, tugas proyek video ini juga memberikan manfaat dalam kerja tim dan peningkatan keterampilan dalam menggunakan teknologi untuk belajar
