School chess and possible articulations with the Specialized Educational Assistance (SEA) of visually impaired students in the municipal network of Novo Hamburgo

Resumo O Atendimento Educacional Especializado (AEE) é garantido por lei, contudo, percebe-se como é difícil e desafiador atender a todas as demandas que a educação inclusiva requer. Este artigo pretende identificar os benefícios que o xadrez possa trazer para quem o praticar; relatar a experiência de enxadristas com deficiência visual e a relação destes com essa atividade lúdica, bem como, discutir a possibilidade de integrar o xadrez no atendimento de alunos com deficiência visual da rede escolar municipal de Novo Hamburgo. Para isso, primeiramente, esta pesquisa investiga como a Secretaria Municipal de Educação (SMED), de Novo Hamburgo, Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil, usa o xadrez com seus alunos e como funciona o AEE no município. Em segundo lugar, apresenta, através de referências, alguns dos benefícios do xadrez para quem o prática. Após isso, relata as narrativas de três enxadristas com deficiência visual e as possíveis articulações destes com o AEE. Finalmente, sugere o xadrez como ferramenta pedagógica. Abstract Specialized Educational Assistance (SEA) is guaranteed by law, however, it is known how difficult and challenging it may be to meet all the demands that inclusive education requires. This article aims to identify the benefits that chess can bring to those who play the game, to report the experience of chess players with visual impairment and their relationship with this playful activity, as well as to discuss the possibility of integrating chess in the care of students with visual impairment in the municipal school network of Novo Hamburgo. For this, firstly, this research presents how the Public Department of Education (SMED), in Novo Hamburgo, State of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, uses chess with its students and how the SEA works in the municipality. Secondly, introduces, through references, some of the benefits chess can bring to those who practice it. Thirdly, reports the narratives of three visually impaired chess players and possible articulations with the SEA. Finally, suggests chess as a pedagogical tool. Keywords: Chess Game. Employment of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in Malaysia: Moving Policy Rhetoric into Action

The case portrays a macro-view of human resource management (HRM) at the national policy level. The case is imbued with concepts to promote responsible HRM, social and workplace inclusion of marginal groups. Set against a canvas of general rights and challenges of persons with disabilities (PWDs), the case showcases the Malaysian government’s initiatives spearheaded by the Social Welfare Department (JKM) to boost PWD employment in its public service. The case revolves around the case protagonist, Aleeya Tan, the head of assistant director of the division of PWD career development in JKM. Relatively inexperienced in PWD employment, Aleeya was tasked to oversee the progress of an affirmative policy on PWD employment that required every public department to employ at least 1 per cent PWDs in their workforce. The catch—the policy remained rhetoric even three decades after it was passed. Following Malaysia’s recent economic blueprint, the policy was once again resurrected and put under public scrutiny. The case describes personal, institutional, structural, legal and social problems faced by the protagonist to outline strategies to meet the policy overdue target. The case is suitable for postgraduate courses in HRM and/or Employment Policy in Masters in Business Administration. Case learners will acquire conceptual knowledge on the subject, problem-solving skills and develop positive values towards the PWD community.

The Research of Customers Satisfaction and Public Policy & Marketing Design in Special Interest Tourism—Macao Culinary Tourism

<p class="A">Start from the development of domestic and foreign fine good, the basic principles and practice from government policy program and formulation, as well as interviews with experts and surveys for the tourists based on physical truth of the Macao culinary tourism development, we did research for the customers satisfaction of Macao culinary tourists and designed strategies and concrete measures of the public policy &amp; marketing. The paper will present policy action suggestions via measure the relationship of government public marketing and customers satisfaction of food tourists through factor analysis from multiple regression analysis. </p>The research believes regional tourism as a quasi-public product, public department plays significant role in its marketing practice. To design the public marketing strategies based on integration of government organizations, tourism industry and civil society groups will offer more comprehensive marketing capacity of private organizations, citizens and other stakeholders. It will very helpful to promote the overall value of Macao tourism, boost regional welfare and sustainable development in tourism industry.

Influence Analysis to Beneficial Period and Pricing of Hydraulic Project Based on Risk Allocation

The public department and the private investor is the commonly contractual subjects of the chartered operating project. Risk sharing idea is an important manifestation to contract justification. The public department determines the compensate degree to private investor through controlling the project’s beneficial period or the chartered operating price. Aim at part of the risk loss that the public department should undertake after risk events had happened; two flexible process models were studied. The adjustment to project beneficial period or product purchasing price was put forward in allusion to this kind of risks. Case study manifested that the adjustment method is feasible.

CAPACITAÇÃO PARA O COMBATE E PREVENÇÃO DE INCÊNDIOS FLORESTAIS NA REGIÃO DO ALTO IRANI – SC

A região do Alto Irani situada no oeste catarinense, possui 15% da vegetação original, tem caracteristicamente a silvicultura praticada em áreas inferiores a 10 hectares, registra índices preocupantes de incêndios florestais, principalmente em reflorestamentos. Como inexiste na região qualquer programa oficial sendo desenvolvido por órgão público, a Universidade do Oeste de Santa Catarina - UNOESC, através do seu campus de Xanxerê, desenvolveu um projeto de capacitação que inclui bombeiros, trabalhadores de empresas florestais, funcionários públicos com função de extensão rural e representantes das comunidades indígenas. O projeto de extensão universitária é oferecido gratuitamente, tendo por objetivos difundir técnicas de queima controlada para os agricultores, técnicas de prevenção para pequenos e médios silvicultores, qualificação técnica a bombeiros visando o desenvolvimento de atividades de prevenção e combate e, principalmente, a composição de uma força tarefa qualificada para o combate a incêndios florestais em todos os 14 municípios da região. Abstract The region of Alto Irani situated in the west of Santa Catarina possesses 15% of its original vegetation, characteristically it has silviculture practiced in areas inferior to 10 hectare, registers worrying indexes of forest fires, mainly in areas of reforestation. As there is not in the region any official program being developed by a public department, the Universidade do Oeste de Santa Catarina - UNOESC, via its campus situated in Xanxerê, developed a qualification project that includes firemen, workers from forest companies, public officers whose function is rural extension and representatives of Indian communities. The university extension project is offered free of charge, it has as objectives to spread techniques of controlled burn for the agriculturists, techniques of prevention for small and medium silviculturists, technical qualification for firemen with the objective of developing activities for prevention and combat of fires and mainly the composition of a group qualified for fighting against forest fires in all the 14 cities in the region.
