Abstract IntroductionTo evaluate the association between mobile/cellular phone use and risk of three intracranial tumors (glioma, meningioma and acoustic neuroma) based on case-control studies through pooling the published data .MethodsWe conducted a systematic literature search in databases including PubMed, EMBASE, and the Cochrane Library up to September 2021. The primary outcome was the risk of tumors by mobile/cellular phone use, which was measured by pooling each odds ratio (OR) and its 95% confidence interval (CI). The random- or fixed-effects model was applied to combine the results depending on the heterogeneity of the analysis.ResultsWe ultimately included 6 articles for glioma, 6 articles for meningioma and 8 for acoustic neuroma from 1999 to 2015 . There was no significant association between mobile/cellular phone use and risk of glioma (OR, 0.98; 95% CI, 0.81-1.17; I²=76.9%, p=0.001) and acoustic neuroma (OR, 0.98; 95% CI, 0.76-1.25; I²=60.7%, p=0.013). And no statistical significance was observed between any subgroup of duration of use and these two type of cancer. Howerver, mobile phone use was associated with decrease the risk of meningioma, especially when the time since first use was between 0-5 years (OR, 0.83; 95% CI, 0.76-0.90; I²=39.5%, p=0.142) and 5-10 years (OR, 0.83; 95% CI, 0.75-0.93; I²=32.3%, p=0.194), while the protective effect disappeared in longer term (more than 10/11 years)(OR, 0.91; 95% CI, 0.80-1.03; I²=0.0%, p=0.870). ConclusionEvidence from our study mobile/cellular phone use may decreased risk of meningioma. Further studies are needed to explore the possible influence of long-term use of mobile phone and underlying mechanism.

In response to Indonesia's accelerating digital use, this study aims to address challenges to implement digital business models and identify the impact of digital economy to external and social and environmental sustainability. This study uses desk study, descriptive statistical analysis, and quantitative regression model and qualitative information from discussion with relevant stakeholders. This study provides several important results. First, increase in mobile cellular subscription will lead to increase in inequality, while percentage of internet user to population has shown otherwise. Second, the study also found that technology has a possibility to affect environment since it could increase CO2 emission. The digital technology gives the pressure to increase balance of payment deficit. The recommendations include increasing digital access and digital literacy, developing pro-environment technology, and increasing the exports of digitally deliverable services.

Mobile cellular providers need to continuously upgrade their human resources capability to cope with market demand. In a high technology organization, knowledge is crucial to beating the competition. To accelerate knowledge dissemination, organizations can optimize their employees to share their experience and knowledge with others. This study examines the role of organizational support and affective commitment in enhancing knowledge-sharing willingness. We used a questionnaire to collect data from cellular companies in Jakarta, Indonesia, receiving 237 useable responses. The study reveals that if employees perceive that the organization provides adequate support, they become more willing to share their knowledge with others. Adequate support also increases emotional commitment, which in the end proves valuable to drive the willingness to share. Thus, affective commitment plays a mediating role in the relationship between perceived organizational support and knowledge sharing. These findings provide new insight into how to enhance the spirit of sharing between employees.

Abstract The authors of the article consider solutions needed to organize mobile cellular communication systems in remote areas. Modern mobile stations do not have the capability to overcome marshy areas, steppe, heavily rugged reliefs of the desert, water barriers and forests. Moreover, the coverage area from one base station is not highly localized (radio coverage area is not significant). Furthermore, modern mobile communication facilities have poor autonomy. The article proposes measures for an operational organization of cellular communications in large remote areas with a coverage radius of a medium-sized city. Article also considers the issues posed by a temporary organization of communication service in large sections near important locations (pipelines, riverbeds, transport and railway lines). The need for such an operational usage of mobile communication systems is most associated with geological exploration and scientific research in large remote areas and large areas with a damaged communication system due to natural emergencies or military operations.

Many studies in literature have shown that the bandwidth of an ongoing flow can dynamically change during multimedia sessions and an efficient bandwidth allocation scheme must be employed. This paper focuses its attention on the management of predictive services in Wireless Infrastructure Dynamic Networks. In particular, two classes of service are considered: NSIS-Mobility Independent Predictive and NSIS-Mobility Dependent Predictive, where NSIS is the Next Steps in Signaling protocol, employed for resources reservation in Integrated Services architectures. A general prediction technique is proposed, based both on the analysis of time spent into a cell by mobile nodes and on the probabilities of hand-in and hand-out events of mobile nodes from wireless cells. User mobility needs to be firstly analyzed and a novel realistic mobility model has been considered, differently from some existing works in which synthetic mobility is generated. The analysis of user mobility is mandatory when the reduction of passive resource reservations for NSIS-MIP users is desired, with a good enhancement in system utilization. Moreover, predictive reservation and admission control schemes have been integrated. The performance of the 2D wireless system is evaluated in terms of average system utilization, system outage probability, number of admitted flows and reservation prediction errors. We provided to carry out an extensive simulation campaign, in order to assess the goodness of the proposed idea: we verified that good results (in terms of perceived utility, bandwidth and admitted flows) can be obtained, outperforming also some existing works.

As indispensable as communication has been to human endeavors, geographical and physical distance would have been a barrier to its effective deployment if not for the advent of wireless mobile communication. In the world today, most of the developments we see in all spheres of our modern life are influenced by communication technologies. However, the performance of each modulation scheme deployed in the communication system dictates the Quality of Service (QoS), effective cost management, efficient power, available bandwidth, Bit Error Rate (BER), and Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR). Extensive research has been done with different authors proffering wide ranging solutions for generalized selection combining (GSC) algorithms in the presence of noise and interfering signals. Some of the reported approaches include varying modulation schemes, changing the channel, and using different equalizing techniques. Many of these proposed solutions worked effectively in some areas while they understandably left other areas untouched, others show better performance by analyzing the channel using; Log-likelihood Ratio (LLR), integral expression, and multiple-mode transmission scheme which in turns proof to be of better performance with a good result. Despite all the efforts, overcoming the issue of noise interference in the communication channel has still been somewhat elusive. Conclusively, to reduce noise to the barest minimum in mobile/cellular communication, this review proposes modulation scheme synchronization with combined diversity technique over an improved channel that is less prone to noise.

Based on Base Transceiver Station (BTS) and Mobile Station (MS) radiation, the residence of Kushtia district in Bangladesh is usually concerned with the potential health effects. Inhabitants, living in this part of Bangladesh are using communication, internet browsing, and other related uses with the help of mobile cellular communication system. The subscriber needed improving radio coverage, excellent communication networks, and quicker speed for internet browsing with the recent developments in mobile cellular communication technologies. To meet this demand, service providers of mobile cellular companies set up several BTS, which emit harmful radiation that has extremely detrimental impact on the human body. Through this paper, the effects of electromagnetic radiation of MS as well as BTS on the human body have been analyzed and Electromagnetic Field (EMF) radiation levels of MSs along with BTSs located in this region have been measured. These measurements have been compared with the measured value provided by the World Health Organization (WHO) and International Commission of Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP). Finally, a cross-sectional analysis was carried out to evaluate the understanding and self-reported health risks of Electromagnetic waves (EMW) radiation emittedfrom the MS as well as BTS among the inhabitants of this region who are living near and a little away from BTS.

In this study, the impact on inclusive development of information and communication technologies in Turkey’s economy is analyzed. Information and communication technologies are represented by mobile phone penetration measured by mobile cellular subscriptions, and inclusive development is measured by the human development index (IHDI) adapted to inequality. The annual data used in this study covers the period 1990-2019. After examining the stationarity of the series of variables, the cointegration between variables was investigated using the ARDL approach. As a result of the ARDL test, a cointegration between inclusive development and information and communication technologies has been determined. Toda-Yamamoto causality test was conducted to find the direction of the relationship between variables. The findings obtained from the analysis of causality determined that it has an impact on inclusive development of information and communication technologies in Turkey.
