Discourse on Muslim women political leadership is based on the Prophetic hadith which states that “a people ruled by a woman will never prosper.” This generates a serious controversy in socio-cultural milieus which civilizational edifices are built on Islamic foundations. This research critiques this hadith through the historical lens of the past and extra-textual reality of the present. The hadith is the linchpin of all arguments against women leadership, which apparently prophesied failure of a nation under leadership of a woman. It employs the method of documentary analysis and adopts Immanent Critique advanced by Ahmad as its theoretical framework. It argues, within that framework, that women with leadership prerequisite could be successful leaders. It finds that, women, just like men, could lead nation(s) to prosperity. It thus concludes that the prophetic political statement which prophesies the downfall of a nation under woman leadership is contextual; and cannot be generalized.

A school is a complex and unique organization, so it requires a high level of coordination. To help principals in organizing schools appropriately, there is a need for a theoretical essence of thought, as principals must be able to understand formal organizational theory that is useful for describing the collaboration between school structures and outcomes. Therefore it is said that "school success is a school that has successful leaders”. The success of education in schools is also largely determined by the success of the principal. As a leader, the principal must be able to pay attention to the needs and feelings of the people who work so that teacher performance is always maintained.

Philosophies of leadership have tended to express and support idealistic or realistic approaches to leadership. Leadership elitism maintains essentially that successful leaders must know and do what is best for their followers, because their followers are not capable of knowing and doing what is best for themselves. This essay offers descriptions of the contrasting traits of leadership idealism and realism, both of which explain elitism as a common trait of idealism. These descriptions are exemplified with an overview of some past and current leadership philosophies, and then with an in-depth analysis of the early twentieth-century views of the African-Americans thinkers W.E.B. Du Bois (idealist) and Booker T. Washington (realist). Some remarks on where leadership philosophy is and could be in the twenty-first century conclude the essay.

Successful leaders tend to reach a dysfunction phase and to become conservative self-serving oligarchic. Polities and large organizations try to prevent this by term limits despite many drawbacks, while corporations use “Golden Parachutes,” a costly measure with major drawbacks as well. Despite much research, the timely succession of leaders in large organizations remains a recalcitrant problem demanding a solution. A review of current solutions points to the plausible use of intangible rewards rather than tangible ones by offering leaders possibility of multiple terms with each reelection requiring a higher majority in a proper constituency. This will reward leaders by plausible tenure prolongation, prestigious higher majority reelection, and plausible creative innovation due to long time horizon, while barring dysfunctional oligarchic continuity. Suggestions for practicing this solution and for further study of the problems it entails are offered.
