Summary: This study explores the interrelationships between work alienation and the role stressor dimensions of ambiguity and conflict. Diagnostics of role stressors in the workplace /Radoslavova, M. 2005/ and Assessment of alienation from work /Velichkov, A. 2005/. The data were collected with an online questionnaire, entered with Google Forms and processed with SPSS-21 using: descriptive statistics, and correlation analysis. The results are compared with similar previous studies conducted in Bulgaria and abroad. Respondents were 75 individuals, 72% of them were doctors working in a government hospital in a regional city. The results of the study showed that role ambiguity is a major workplace stressor in coping with the Covid-19 pandemic. Alienation from work is very high, which is also a significant antecedent for developing Burnout Syndrome.

Stress can be sourced from several factors or commonly known as stressors. Operational employee has been identified as a job that has high stress level. Hang-yue(20056) states that an employee who is under stress due to sources of stress can have an impact on decreasing job satisfaction. This can also lead to increased turnover intention. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of role stressor on turnover intention directly nor indirectly. This study using quantitative approach and nonprobability sampling technique with saturated sampling of 40 employees from operational division’s stevedoring company in Surabaya. Data analysis techniques using path analysis. The results showed that there was a significant negative effect between role stressor and turover intention directly nor indirectly

Abstract This article aims to analyze the relationship between work-family conflict (wfc) and self-rated health in 31 countries. It argues that wfc, in line with the Sociological Stress Model (Pearlin 1987), is a major role stressor, associated with health problems of workers. The results show that wfc influences the level of self-rated health in the expected direction, when controlling for sociodemographic, family and working characteristics. Country differences exist regarding the moderating role of a country’s degree of individualism. In countries which show higher degrees of individualism, the negative health effects of wfc are stronger. The analysis uses data from the ISSP in 2012 (N=29.857) and multilevel regression models are calculated in order to analyze country differences.

Community corrections staff are responsible for supervising more than 4 million offenders nationwide; yet, little research exists on understanding their experiences with role-related stressors and job stress. The purpose of this study was to extend the existing community corrections literature by examining the impact of job characteristics, danger-related factors, and role preference on role-related stressors (i.e., role conflict, role ambiguity, and role overload) and job stress, with a focus on determining whether the relationships varied across specific job positions (i.e., probation/parole vs. residential). Results indicated that each type of role-related stressor was differentially affected by job characteristics, danger-related factors, and role preference, and that these relationships also differed by position. Threat of harm was a significant predictor of each type of role-related stressor for probation/parole officers, but only had a significant effect on role overload for residential officers. Furthermore, safety training had significant effects on role ambiguity and role overload for residential officers, but was not a significant predictor of any role stressor for probation/parole officers. Role preference was significant for both positions, but only for the role overload variable. Most surprisingly, the only variable to predict job stress was role overload.

This study aims to provide empirical evidence about the positive effects of role stressors on burnout. Role stressor consists of role conflict, role ambiguity, and role overload. This study also wants to prove the difference level of burnout based on gender. The research data is the primary data that are obtained through the distribution of questionnaires to the respondents. The respondents were selected by using purposive sampling method. The specified criteria are as follows: last year students from undergradate accounting program at a private university in Tangerang. Hypothesis testing using multiple regression test and independent sample t test. The results revealed that role ambiguity and role overload have positive effect on burnout meanwhile role conflict has no effect on burnout. Differences in burnout based on gender can not be proven through the results of this study. Keywords: Role Stressor, Burnout, Gender
