The article reports on the new technology and equipment of vertical‑stack molding (VSM), created by OJSC “BELNIILIT” for the manufacture of vertical‑stack molds. The development is intended for the production of molds and cast blanks of oil, which are later used for the manufacture of piston rings of internal combustion engines. The difference between the above‑mentioned technology and traditional methods of VSM is the use of models without drafts. The development is export‑oriented and has a great economic effect for ring manufacturers due to the absence of drafts on castings, since part of the mechanical operations for their processing is excluded, the metal consumption of blanks is reduced, the production spaces required in this regard are reduced, the necessary labor supply is reduced, etc.OJSC “BELNIILIT” has successfully carried out experimental design and technological work on the new scientific and technical products creation, which are of great interest to the world manufacturers of piston rings. An industrial sample of a molding machine and a mold manipulator were manufactured.

It is shown that the development of the concept of metrological support for the creation of composite structures of aircraft aggregates of the transport category and their support at all stages of the existence of an aircraft should be based on the formation of a complex criterion for the effectiveness of the use of polymer composite materials. It is noted that the effectiveness of a structure made of polymer composite materials is provided by various methods, methods and technical means of metrology. The structure of a complex of studies aimed at developing the concept of metrological support is discussed, the first point of which is to analyze the types of metrological characteristics and the scope of work to determine them at the main stages of the existence of composite structures of aircraft aggregates of the transport category. Based on the analysis of numerous publications on the problem of metrological support of the main stages of creating technical products, the main types of measurements of the metrological characteristics of composite structures of aircraft aggregates of the transport category have been established, and the composition of the nomenclature of works on metrological support of the main stages of the existence of these structures has been determined. 12 main types of measurements of parameters have been identified, on which the whole variety of production physical quantities and the description of the properties and characteristics of structures of aircraft aggregates made of polymer composite materials are based. The composition of the main works on the metrological support of the four stages of the existence of the aircraft is revealed: design, production, operation and disposal of composite structures formed into systems of sequential blocks for performing these works. It is shown that the tasks of metrological support at the facility manufacturers should be solved during the technological preparation of serial production and testing of the installation series of products, and also take into account the peculiarities of aircraft operation and disposal of composite structural elements in terms of work safety and economic efficiency of their results. An enlarged sequence has been established for organizing work on metrological support for measuring the properties of composite structures of aircraft aggregates at aviation enterprises. The results presented in the first approximation provide a solution to practically important aspects of the problem under discussion.

A current trend observed in the Anthropocene is the search for bioinspired solutions. Since it became possible to change the quality of the boundary between living and technical systems, more and more life-like technical products have been developed in recent years. Using five plant-inspired developments of motile technical systems for architecture and soft-robotics, we show how the boundary between living and technical systems undulates, shifts, perforates, blurs, or dissolves with increasing life-likeness. We discuss what causes theses changes in the boundary and how this contributes to the overall aim to achieve higher resilience, robustness, and improved esthetics of plant-inspired products. Inspiration from living systems that make efficient and economic use of materials and energy and are fully recyclable after “service time” may additionally contribute to sustainable material use, one of the major challenges in the Anthropocene.

This paper proposes a load forecasting method based on LSTM model, fully explores the regularity of historical load data of industrial park enterprises, inputs the data features into LSTM units for feature extraction, and applies the attention-based model for load forecasting. The experiments show that the accuracy of our prediction model and early warning model is better than that of the baseline and can reach the standard of application in practice; this model can also be used for early warning of local sudden large loads and identification of enterprise power demand. Therefore, the validity of the method proposed in this paper is verified using the historical dataset of industrial parks, and relevant technical products and business models are formed to provide value-added services to users by combining existing practical cases for the specific scenario of industrial parks.

Abstract: Today, many technical products need high-precision cylindrical bores which are used, e.g. as a fit or as guidance elements for pistons and shafts. They often need geometric and form accuracy with tolerances less than 1 μm, surface qualities with a roughness less than 1 μm and a high wear resistance. To reach higher production accuracy and better process stability in shorter cycle times, new approaches for the regulation of an automated honing process have to be developed. Due to the great demands regarding the surface roughness which has a great influence on the service life and reliability of parts and the researches of the technical and economical performances of finishing processes were made to optimize the process parameters and constructive parameters of the abrasive tools Keywords: Surface roughness, Analysis, Honing, process parameter, Rocker arm

The problem of research of business processes related to the organization and management of projects to create the new complex technical products in aerospace, shipbuilding, and other fields of mechanical engineering is stated and solved. The relevance of the study is related to the planning of a set of business processes, taking into account the architectural representation of the complex product being created. The study aims to develop a new method of synthesis of the multilevel complex of business processes to manage the creation of new technology, taking into account the multi-component representation of the complex product architecture. Much attention is paid to the complex product architecture, which is presented as a set of interconnected components. The following component types are outlined: components that can be reused; components that can be adapted to the requirements of the new product; innovative components. The types of components are studied in terms of the building of the set of business processes on their creation, taking into account the main indicators (costs, execution time, risks). Using the positive experience of past developments in the form of ready-to-use business processes helps to minimize the risks, and the new business solutions in their turn ensure the competitiveness of the complex product. The information base of positive past business processes in the form of precedents base is being built. The precedents base is used to find the close analogs of ready-to-use business processes. The set of business processes related to the management of complex product creation is formed. It has a multilevel representation that fully corresponds to the tree-like component architecture of the complex product. The method to synthesize the complexity of business processes that are planned to perform the tasks on the management of projects on creation of complex products for the developing enterprise is constructed. It is based on the “from top to bottom” system design principle. The optimization model to find the minimum costs, time, and risks in the process of business processes creation that takes into account the multilevel structure of the business process is built. The simulation event-based model in the form of a related agent set is used to study the successful execution of planned business processes related to the creation of the complex product. The results of this study should be used in the practice of creating innovative technical products that have a complex multi-level component architecture for the organization and planning of business processes related to development management. Mathematical methods used: systems analysis, precedent theory, lexicographic ordering, component design, integer optimization, simulation modeling.

Decision-making is becoming more and more challenging due to the rise in complexity of modern technical products. A lot of industries are currently at a crossroads, and a wrong strategic or technical decision may have disastrous consequences for the future of the company. Within this paper, the SMH approach, that supports decision making processes to put emphasis on sustainable solutions regarding strategic and technical aspects, is introduced. SMH is an acronym that stands for a decision making approach that includes systems thinking (S), model-based systems engineering (M) and the human factor (H). This approach deals with the challenge to consider overall boundary conditions and interactions of the system, the decision which models need to be built in order to have the best data support possible, and the identification what influence the human factor plays in analyzing the data and the consequent decision making based on it. The importance of the human factor is often neglected in technical processes, which may lead to costly mistakes. This theoretical approach is applied to the use case of a chief executive officer (CEO) who has to decide on allocation of research and development (R&D) resources to future powertrain technologies.
