The design of this Vacuum and Packaging Machine is made in order to increase the sale value and service life for processed Oyster Mushroom products. Not only that, this machine can do packaging in a short time and efficiently. This machine consists of Frame, Vacuum Motor, Impulse Sealer, Vacuum Clamp. This Vacuum and Packaging Machine has dimensions of length 700 mm x width 500 mm x height 700 mm. The impulse sealer used is Arashi Ais 400 type by using a VE115N 2 CFM type vacuum motor. From this vacuum motor will later be connected to the vacuum clamp as a tool to clamp the packaging during the process of vacuuming the air in the package. This machine is equipped with a limit switch on the vacuum clamp that works to connect the current to the vacuum motor so that the vacuum motor automatically turns on. The operation of this vacuum and packaging machine is quite simple by inserting the packaging containing the product into the sealer and at the end of the package clamped on the vacuum clamp, the vacuum motor will automatically turn on, the next step is to operate the impulse sealer so that the product is finished packed under vacuum. From the design results, the bending stress of the frame is 3.172 N / mm2, the working time of the vacuum and sealer is 1.54 s per package, and the estimated price of the machine is Rp. 1,879,000

Objectives: This paper chose the front section of the assembly line of the explosive packaging machine as the design object, and studied the application of the interactive genetic model in the packaging machinery. Methods: Through the research on the product characteristics and the development trend of the packaging machinery, the main points of the design of the packaging machinery were summarized. The application models of two interactive genetic algorithms based on the compound fitness allocation strategy (HFAS) and the graded fitness allocation strategy were established in this paper. Results: The parameter setting of the compound fitness distribution strategy was analyzed, and the better scheme was selected for the case of the packaging machine design. Conclusion: In this paper, a specific case of the application of interactive genetic algorithm in the design of packaging machinery products—the design of the front section of the explosive packing machine was discussed. The total arrangement method and fuzzy evaluation method were used to evaluate the design results. Two methods were used to evaluate the design results.

AbstractThis study presents a use case of Finite Element Method and comparative experimental studies on a subproblem in packaging machines. The variables in the vacuum picking system including baffle height, back pressure and friction between sheets are evaluated through simulations and experiments. It is found that baffle height, back pressure F and friction between sheets are all critical in successful operation of vacuum picking cardboards from in-feed magazine. This study is of some practical value for the implementation of vacuum picking board sheets from in-feed magazine on many types of packaging machinery.

Many small scale food production business owners and small and medium scale Grocery Store owners do the process of weighing and packaging their product manually. Small and Medium scale food production business owners has to do the weighing, filling and packaging process manually. The sealing process is carried out with the help of candles. This process is very time and effort consuming and thus it limits their production as well as their business. Automatic Weighing and Packaging which is priced at the rate mentioned is not affordable for small scale and medium scale businesses. This project aims to develop such a machine which automatically weighs and packs the food with the help of microcontroller and sensors. The idea is to manually place the bag, then automatic weighing, filling and packaging is done. The purpose of doing this project is to reduce human efforts and time consumption. Decreasing machine cost is the major advantage of project. The machine design is based on simple mechanisms and it can be installed easily. The speed of packaging is increased thus resulting in more production and business. It will eradicate the traditional packing and sealing method. This process will reduce the number of paid workers.

The authors deal with the task of technological maintenance of operability and reliability of packaging equipment at life cycle stages, including its designing, manufacturing and operation. To improve the wear resistance of the most loaded mobile nodes of the lever-hinged gripping device of a packaging machine, a new composite material with upgraded technological and operational characteristics has been obtained, on the basis of studying the physical model of boundary friction. The paper presents the results of investigations of the plasma coating from the developed material.
