About scientific and practical conference explosives of the Urals

The article reviews the results of the VIII Scientific and Practical Conference with international participation "Technology and Safety of Drilling and Blasting Operations in Surface and Underground Mines of the Urals" which was held at the Ekaterinburg-EXPO Exhibition Center and the Uralasbest Industrial Complex as part of the IX Urals Mining Industry Forum and the URAL MINING' 21 Exhibition dedicated to the Year of Science and Technology in the Russian Federation and the 30th Anniversary of the Urals Mining and Industrial Association. The article also informs about the winners of the Ural Mining Award 2021 and about the research and engineering reports and presentations made during the conference and dedicated to blasting operations. Results are summarized of the visiting seminar at the Uralasbest Industrial Complex, where the Chief Engineer of Promtekhvzvzryv Company N.A. Chistyakov and General Director of the Urals Explosives Association G.P. Bersenev conducted tours to the open-pit mine, the 'Poremit' Plant - the first emulsion explosives production facility in the Urals, a bulk explosives storage, the museum and training center of the Urals Asbestos Mining and Processing Complex. Following the tours of the training center site of the Processing Complex, the second part of the conference was held, during which a number of reports were delivered. Upon completion of the seminar, the Urals Explosives Association awarded honorary certificates and valuable gifts to specialists of the Promtekhvzvzryv Company for their contribution to improvement of drilling and blasting technology and organization of labor on blasting sites. The article is concluded by a summary of the Conference's decisions.

Proceedings of the II All-Russian Conference with International Participation «Evolution of Biosphere and Technogenesis» «Biosphere and Technogenesis – 2021» Dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Institute of Natural Resources, Ecology and Cryology SB RAS Chita, Russian Federation, 30 August – 2 September, 2021 On behalf of the Organising Committee and the Editors of this volume, we are delighted to present the Proceedings of the IInd National conference with international participation, titled “The Evolution of the Biosphere and Technogenesis”, dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Institute of Natural Resources Ecology and Cryology of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, which was held in the city of Chita, Russia (August 30 – September 2, 2021). The Conference was organized by the Institute of Natural Resources, Ecology and Cryology SB RAS, with the support of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Daursky Nature Reserve and other organizations. The main subjects of the conference were as follows: 1. The Evolution of the biosphere (geological, paleontological, biological and climatic aspects). 2. Technogenesis and the evolution of the environment (ecological, economic and social aspects). Within the framework of the conference, the VIIIst National Symposium with international participation “Mineralogy and geochemistry of the landscape of mining areas” was been organized. A dynamic balance in the biosphere is based on a system of cycles created and maintained by it. These gyres cover not only the near-surface zone of the Earth – the exosphere, but also the deep horizons. The evolution of the biosphere as a self-developing system is part of the evolution of the Earth from the origin of life to the appearance of man and the formation of the technosphere. Understanding both the general trend of evolution and its individual stages is important not only in terms of fundamental knowledge, but also in practical terms for predicting the future of humanity and the entire biosphere. The intensification of the technogenic impact on the biosphere, which, as V.I. Vernadsky wrote, by the beginning of the 20th century had reached the scale of geological processes, threatens its stability. List of Conference Organizers is available in this pdf.

Occupational risk management as a system of socio-economic measures aimed at preventing diseases and protecting the health of workers in the Republic of Belarus

The article presents a retrospective of the leading research directions on preserving the health of the able-bodied population of the Republic of Belarus based on the results presented at the XVI Congress with international participation "Profession and Health". These are the possibilities of monitoring "working conditions-employee health", laboratory assessment of the intensity of the labor process, monitoring the health of workers employed under the influence of industrial vibration, industrial aerosols, development of a risk management system for the development of occupational diseases of certain professions on the Belarusian railway, a pilot project of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus "Caring Polyclinic", assessment of the effects of low-intensity production factors in oil refining, etc.

International Conference on Environmental Sustainability in Natural Resources Management (ISCES 2021) is a peer-reviewed international conference that is a leading scientific forum with international participation of experts in the fields of sustainable development research, resource management and circular economy. ISCES 2021 conference was held on October 15-16, 2021. The aim of the ISCES 2021 conference is to explore environmental sustainability trends in natural resources management, circular management and environmental engineering.
