Controlling the control of an induction motor with a stable and fast speed is very much needed in the industrial. To get a constant speed and be able to improve the performance of the induction motor, a PID controller circuit is needed. Fuzzy logic method is known to work with a fast response and enough good performance. The value of the motor speed formed with PID control and fuzzy logic, the rotor speed with fuzzy is the same as that without using fuzzy of 1785 rpm with the same overshoot and fuzzy rise time value of 346,605 ms and the value of rise time without fuzzy of 346,111 ms. The results obtained in the Main current without fuzzy of 2.2 A, main current with fuzzy of 2.2 A, aux. Current without fuzzy is 1.6 A, aux. Current with fuzzy 1.9 A, load and elctromag torque without fuzzy no value, load and elctromag torque with fuzzy no value, main voltage without fuzzy 154 V, main voltage with fuzzy 154 V, aux. Voltage without fuzzy 180 V, aux. Voltage with fuzzy is 184 V, rotor speed without fuzzy is 1785 rpm, rotor speed with fuzzy is 1785 rpm.

Epileptic encephalopathy is a condition resulting from extreme forms of intractable childhood epilepsy. The disease can cause severe delays in cognitive, sensory, and motor function development, in addition to being fatal in some cases. Missense mutations of SCN8A, which encodes Nav1.6, one of the main voltage-gated sodium channel subunits in neurons and muscles, have been linked to early infantile SCN8A encephalopathy. Herein, we report the case of a 5-month-old girl with SCN8A encephalopathy with a novel missense mutation. Apart from intractable seizures and autistic phenotypes, the results of blood and biochemical tests, electroencephalogram (EEG) results, and brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) results were all normal. As the phenotypes caused by these mutations cannot be identified by any clinical, neuroimaging, or electrophysiological features, genetic sequencing should be considered to identify the underlying genetic causes. Although phenytoin is recommended as a last-resort treatment for SCN8A encephalopathy, the administration of the oxcarbazepine, instead of phenytoin, mitigated this patient’s intractable seizures.

Interleaved zero-voltage switching boost converters have been known for over 20 years. However, the influence of parasitic capacitance of transistors has not been described. In this paper the converter is analyzed and the equation for voltage ratio is derived for any number of converter phases. First a general description of the topology, including main voltage and current waveforms, is provided. Subsequently the converter is analyzed and conditions for soft switching are derived. Next the analysis results are compared to measurements of an experimental converter setup. Discrepancies are identified and the influence of parasitic capacitance is analyzed. By considering the parasitic capacitance the difference between experimental and analytical results of voltage ratio is reduced from 0.2 to less than 0.05.

Abstract To solved Indonesian electricity problems have to do attempts to locate and exploit new sources of renewable electricity and the alternatively one of these is combines the power source of the PLN and also alternative power source with PLTS, where both the source of electrical energy will work simultaneously and synchronized. This research aims to know the electric supply system of the PLN and PLTS in homestead building in terms of synchronizing two source. Research conducted at the Pusdiklat KEBTKE Ciracas, East Jakarta on 3 June to 4 June 2016. The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive method. Stages of the process of research done by doing a field observation and data collection techniques. Research instrument in the form of a measuring tool, graphs and tables of measurements data. From the measurement data, the average voltage difference on phase R is 0,396 Volts or 0,18% of main voltage PLN, the average voltage difference on phase S is 0,22 Volt or 0,1% of main voltage PLN, the average voltage difference on phase T is 0,244 Volts or 0,11% of main voltage PLN. While the average difference in the frequency of PLN and PLTS is 0,036 Hz. Phase sequence in PLTS on-grid system in homestead building is accordance with the main system PLN, i.e. R-R, S-S, and T-T. Then, the average difference in phase angle on the phase R is 9,76°  with the maximum phase angle value is 26,4°, the average difference in phase angle on the phase S is 4,65°, with the maximum phase angle values is 10,1°, the average difference in the phase angle on the phase T is 7,73 ° with the maximum phase angle value is 13,8°. When seeing the four sync indicators on the data, then the system of PLTS on-grid is already synchronized with system of PLN. Abstrak Untuk mengatasi permasalahan kelistrikan di Indonesia perlu dilakukan upaya untuk mencari dan memanfaatkan sumber listrik altenatif baru dan terbarukan yang salahsatunya adalah memadukan sumber listrik dari PLN dan juga sumber listrik alternatif dengan PLTS, dimana kedua sumber energi listrik ini akan bekerja secara bersamaan dan tersinkronisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sistem suplai listrik dari PLN dan PLTS pada gedung wisma dari segi sinkronisasi dua pembangkit. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Pusdiklat KEBTKE Ciracas, Jakarta Timur pada tanggal 3 Juni hingga 4 Juni 2016. Metode yang dipakai pada penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Tahapan proses penelitian yang dilakukan dengan melakukan observasi lapangan dan teknik pengumpulan data. Instumen penelitian berupa alat ukur, grafik dan tabel data pengukuran. Dari data pengukuran, rata-rata selisih tegangan pada fasa R adalah 0,396 Volt atau 0,18% dari tegangan utama PLN, rata-rata selisih tegangan pada fasa S adalah 0,22 Volt atau 0,1% dari tegangan utama PLN, rata-rata selisih tegangan pada fasa T adalah 0,244 Volt atau 0,11% dari tegangan utama PLN. Sedangkan rata-rata selisih frekuensi PLN dan PLTS adalah 0,036 Hz. Urutan fasa pada sistem PLTS on-grid di gedung wisma sesuai dengan sistem utama PLN, yaitu R-R, S-S, dan T-T. Kemudian, rata-rata selisih sudut fasa pada fasa R adalah 9,76° dengan nilai sudut fasa maksimum 19,7°, rata-rata selisih sudut fasa pada fasa S adalah 4,65° dengan nilai sudut fasa maksimum 10,1°, rata-rata selisih sudut fasa pada fasa T adalah 7,73° dengan nilai sudut fasa maksimum 13,8°. Bila melihat keempat indikator sinkron pada data, maka sistem PLTS on-grid sudah tersinkronisasi dengan sistem PLN.

A novel algorithm for a single-phase active power filter (APF) is proposed in this paper. The proposed algorithm avoids the use of main voltage signal in the calculation of reference compensation current. Therefore, the mains current after compensation is still a pure sinusoidal waveform even when the mains voltage is distorted. A novel circuit for detecting the amplitude of the real part of the fundamental load current is not more than 1/4 cycle. Its transient response is superior to the other conventional techniques. In addition, the proposed algorithm can compensate for the power factor and suppress the harmonics of nonlinear loads. Finally, some experimental results are presented for verification.

The mechanism of voltage sags due to three main voltage sag sources, such as line faults, startup of large induction motor and transformer energization, was analyzed theoretically. Based on the typical structure of the distribution network of a large industrial enterprise, the paper presented a simplified analytical model for voltage sag sources and conducts a test with the above three kinds of voltage sag sources in Matlab/Simulink. The results show the proposed model is correct and suitable for the analysis of distribution network.

The β2 subunit of the large conductance Ca2+- and voltage-activated K+ channel (BKCa) modulates a number of channel functions, such as the apparent Ca2+/voltage sensitivity, pharmacological and kinetic properties of the channel. In addition, the N terminus of the β2 subunit acts as an inactivating particle that produces a relatively fast inactivation of the ionic conductance. Applying voltage clamp fluorometry to fluorescently labeled human BKCa channels (hSlo), we have investigated the mechanisms of operation of the β2 subunit. We found that the leftward shift on the voltage axis of channel activation curves (G(V)) produced by coexpression with β2 subunits is associated with a shift in the same direction of the fluorescence vs. voltage curves (F(V)), which are reporting the voltage dependence of the main voltage-sensing region of hSlo (S4-transmembrane domain). In addition, we investigated the inactivating mechanism of the β2 subunits by comparing its properties with the ones of the typical N-type inactivation process of Shaker channel. While fluorescence recordings from the inactivated Shaker channels revealed the immobilization of the S4 segments in the active conformation, we did not observe a similar feature in BKCa channels coexpressed with the β2 subunit. The experimental observations are consistent with the view that the β2 subunit of BKCa channels facilitates channel activation by changing the voltage sensor equilibrium and that the β2-induced inactivation process does not follow a typical N-type mechanism.
