AbstractIn this paper, we present two new families of spatially homogeneous black hole solution for $$z=4$$ z = 4 Hořava–Lifshitz Gravity equations in $$(4+1)$$ ( 4 + 1 ) dimensions with general coupling constant $$\lambda $$ λ and the especial case $$\lambda =1$$ λ = 1 , considering $$\beta =-1/3$$ β = - 1 / 3 . The three-dimensional horizons are considered to have Bianchi types II and III symmetries, and hence the horizons are modeled on two types of Thurston 3-geometries, namely the Nil geometry and $$H^2\times R$$ H 2 × R . Being foliated by compact 3-manifolds, the horizons are neither spherical, hyperbolic, nor toroidal, and therefore are not of the previously studied topological black hole solutions in Hořava–Lifshitz gravity. Using the Hamiltonian formalism, we establish the conventional thermodynamics of the solutions defining the mass and entropy of the black hole solutions for several classes of solutions. It turned out that for both horizon geometries the area term in the entropy receives two non-logarithmic negative corrections proportional to Hořava–Lifshitz parameters. Also, we show that choosing some proper set of parameters the solutions can exhibit locally stable or unstable behavior.

Internet based Vehicular (iVANET) ad-hoc networks are meticulously especial case of normal VANET. It is basically made of a combined wired Internet as well as vehicular ad hoc network for developing a new baby-boom of omnipresent and ubiquitous computing. The Internet connectivity is usually extended to V2I (vehicle to infrastructure) communication whilst ad-hoc networks are used in vehicle to vehicle (V2V) communication. The latency is one of the main matters of concern in VANET. By minimizing distance between data source and the remote vehicle through rectified caching technique along with redefined cache lookup mechanism, the latency can be shortened by a significant factor in iVANET environment. In this paper various cache invalidation schemes are studied and analyzed. Exploring the possibilities of caching schemes which can be hybridized or mutated, paper introduces an algorithmic proposal along with redefined services mechanism for cache lookup and invalidation, which strives for achieving low latency with reduced negative acknowledgement (NACK) in the network. This paper introduces a rectified algorithm for guaranteed delivery of the queried data and efficiently invalidating cache contents at different levels of hierarchy. The proposed work is anticipated to fructify the network performance minimizing the cost and bandwidth utilization during cache invalidation and hence guarantees improved quality of service (QoS).

Based on the homogenous balanced principle and subequation method, an improved separation variables function-expansion method is proposed to seek exact solutions of time-fractional nonlinear PDEs. This method is novel and meaningful without using Leibniz rule and chain rule of fractional derivative which have been proved to be incorrect. By using this method, we studied a nonlinear time-fractional PDE with diffusion term. Some general solutions are obtained which contain many arbitrary parameters. Solutions given in related reference are just our especial case. And we also obtained some new type of solutions.

The article views an especial case of forming of public spaces of mono-industry town Togliatt i in the historical context of late Soviet modernism architecture and modern problems of renovation of public spaces in mono-industry towns. The theoretical works of Soviet researchers and modern works in the area of city public spaces are studied. The data of sociological polls are cited and the prerequisites for fi nding new approaches to fi ll the empty spaces with a new function are defi ned. On the example of Togliatt i Italian Park the experience of revitalizing empty public spaces with diff erent methods - promotional events, public Italian lessons, mobile cinemas in open air - is described. The revealed methodology could be applied to many Russian mono-industry towns.

Floral oils as reward to pollinators occur in eleven plant families and appeared at least 28 times in the evolutionary history of flowering plants. They are produced in epithelial or tricomatic glands and collected by oil bee visitors. The present paper focuses on floral-oil-producing species of Plantaginaceae, a Neotropical group namely Angelonia clade. This group comprises around 40 described species in the genera Angelonia, Basistemon, Monttea, Monopera and the oil-less Melosperma. We present a revision of all species of the Angelonia clade, their geographical distribution, resources offered to pollinators and records of flower visitors, especially oil-collecting bees. These plants rely only on oil-collecting species in the tribe Centridini and Tapinotaspidini for a successful pollination, being the interaction between both partners an especial case of bee/flower adaptation in Neotropical region. Some bee species depend only on the oil of Plantaginaceae flowers to survive, while others can collect on several floral oil sources. The pollinating bees explore the oil glands located in sacs using specialized hairs in the forelegs. With this study, we hope to inspire further research relating to this fascinating group of plants, in which most species are rare and occur in highly endangered habitats in South American open vegetation biomes.

The chapter continues from the groundwork of the socio-cybernetic perspective of the monotheistic law and its functioning in the moral and social construction of the unified world-system. The especial case of the financial and banking system is introduced to bring forth the functional meaning of God as the monotheistic law that is activated in the moral and ethical uplift of the world-system with its specific details. Here, the business model marks the particular case of a unified world-system guided by the epistemology of unity of knowledge. A rigorous formalism underlies this extensive worldview. The phenomenological model of unity of knowledge is further formalized to give it a functional explanation for later explanations in this book.

AbstractAnalytical study is conducted in this paper to understand the characteristics of sound transmission through cylindrical shell with free layer damping (FLD) treatment. It is assumed an infinitely long circular cylindrical shell subjected to a plane wave with uniform airflow in the external fluid medium. The damping layer applied on the surface of the shell is represented by HN model with frequency-dependent specifications. An exact solution is obtained by solving the Markus equations of FLD shells and acoustic wave equations simultaneously. As the pressure and displacement terms are expressed in series form, an iterative procedure is founded to cut them with an appropriatenumber of modes. Transmission losses obtained from the solution are compared with “modal-impedance method” for an especial case of untreated shell. Eventually, the numerical results show the effects of stiffness, loss factor and thickness of damping material, and also incident wave angles on TL curves.
