This article describes social encounters produced through climate adaptation policy experimentation focused on managed retreat—a framework increasingly used by academics and planning professionals to describe various kinds of planned relocations from areas exposed to environmental hazards. Building on scholarship that examines the political ecology of resettlement and adaptation (Shearer, 2012; Maldonado, 2014; Marino 2015; Whyte et al. 2019), I draw on five years of ethnographic work conducted alongside Isle de Jean Charles Biloxi-Chitimacha-Choctaw Tribal leaders as their longstanding Tribal resettlement planning was transformed by government investment. I found that Louisiana’s Office of Community Development relied on Tribal-led planning to garner federal funds, used those funds to transform the resettlement, and used planning process and documentation to erase the rationales behind and aims of Indigenous-led planning—a process I liken to Dina Gilio-Whitaker (2019)’s notion of decontextualization as a colonial strategy of erasure. I contend that state decontextualization of the resettlement from a struggle for cultural survival to managed retreat policy experimentation reproduced a frontier dynamic whereby colonial and capitalist coastal futures are rested upon the erasure of Indigenous peoples and their lifeways, institutions, and self-determination. Constructions of risk and community and timelines published in planning documentation were particularly important state tools used for decontextualization. Ethnographic accounts of such processes can inform future resistance to eco-colonial schemes within climate adaptation.

Serbia’s Parliamentary Elections in 2020: The Peak of Political Domination of the Serbian Progressive Party? The Serbian parliamentary elections in 2020 were not groundbreaking in political terms, but their results directly determine the immediate future of Serbs. Taking into account the current geopolitical situation in Serbia, it should be emphasized that the next four years may prove critical for the international position of this country. The elections on June 21 were special due to the circumstances in which they were held. Among them, the global problem should be mentioned – the coronavirus pandemic, which paralyzed the functioning of many countries, including Serbia. The second important factor relates to the largest anti-government protests since 2000, which began in late 2018 and lasted until the state of emergency declaration due to the threat of COVID-19. The results of the parliamentary elections in 2020 should be interpreted as the strengthening of the Serbian Progressive Party and its leader Aleksandar Vučić. Moreover, it is a clear signal that the opposition still do not have adequate public support to compete effectively with the ruling party. Nowadays, there are no political conditions for an alternation of power in Serbia. Following the impressive victory in the parliamentary elections, the Serbian Progressive Party may continue the process of increasing influence in the most important state organs.

The art of minstrel, whose etymological meaning is "ash", "light", "love", is common in all Turkic peoples, including Azerbaijan, Göyçe, Borchali, Nakhchivan, Yerevan, Ağbaba, Çıldır, Derbent, Karabakh, Ganja, Tovuz, Gazakh, Shamkir, Shamahhi, It was developed in Ismayilli, Agsu, Goychay, Khizi, Guba, Tabriz, Urmia, Khorasan regions. Although the Shirvan minstrel environment has been included in the research of philologists, it has been little studied in musicology. From this point of view, the works of K. Akhundova (Dadaşzade), Ahliman Rahimov, Aliyeva Hanim devoted to examining the Shirvan ash circle are quite remarkable. Shirvan ashik environs have spread over a wide area, including Shamakhi, Ismayilli, Agsu, Goycay, Hızi, Ujar, Gobustan, Mugan region, Salyan, Sabirabad and Belasuvar regions. Shirvan minstrels always responded to cultural events with their art, and took an active role in minstrel congresses and other important state events that played an important role in the development of this art. Shirvan ashik’s have always come to the fore with their musical creations. In Shirvan's minstrel environment, air is played in the accompaniment of various instruments, unlike other regions. It included two balabans, a percussion instrument (double drum) and a ashik singer, including a ashik. In this respect, the group of Shirvan ashik’s can be called a community. One of the characteristic features of the representatives of the environment is that the mugham is performed at the beginning of the air, sometimes between the second and third lines, which shows the skill of the minstrel. Balaban performers also have other responsibilities within the group. It adds color to the general sound of the air accompanied by two bitterns. While one of the balaban players plays a musical theme, the other has a kind of "helper" structure and takes exemplary notes in accordance with the mood and melody of the air. The inclusion of the percussion instrument in the backing demonstrates the uniqueness of this setting not seen in other regions. Although they can be found in other environments such as Güzell?, sikeste, keremi, muhammes, gerayli, they are completely different from Shirvan airs in terms of melody. Peşrov and Shesangi melodies belong only to Shirvan ashik’s and are not performed in other settings. Shirvan ash tunes are also very rich in terms of musical style and contain developed moments, melodies and rhythms.

The media's ability to set the information agenda, to draw the public's attention to several major public issues, is known to be a large-scale and clearly proven influence. People not only get accurate information from the media about important state issues, but they also determine the level of importance of a particular topic based on how much attention is given to that topic in the broadcasting process. The article summarized the idea of the impact of published media information on public life, including the formation of public opinion on any issue, using the method of comparative analysis. Traditional print media emphasize the importance of topics in daily issues with capital letters, while television news conveys the significance of an event through the opening story, length, and attention to detail in the newscast, while new media prioritize online features with the advantage of direct communication. These signs, which are always in use, effectively convey the importance of each topic. In other words, the media can set the agenda by drawing the public's attention to a particular issue that shapes public opinion.

The corporate governance as a regulatory system has started a journey towards independence for a while, and sooner or later it will turn into a self-standing field of science. This process is facilitated not only by its transdisciplinary nature, which combines legal science with economic science, within the civil law, the corporate law, business economics, management and organizational science, but also, in the case of state-owned companies, with public administration and proceedings law. The timeliness of the topic is illustrated by the prolonged transition to market economy following the 1989 regime change, the controversial application of company law, the scandals around certain privatization processes, the bankruptcy of many important state-owned enterprises, all of these bringing about a willingness to establish a regulatory framework. Taking into consideration the above short presentation, the subject of our analysis is very complex; this article intends to limit the examination to the Bucharest Stock Exchange Corporate Governance Code, investigating it in comparison to the provisions of the Romanian legal system. At the same time, it sets as an objective to make use of a concrete example (the most important Romanian state-owned joint stock company listed at the Bucharest Stock Exchange), Romgaz, in order to present the reader the ways and circumstances of the implementation of the general principles and provisions to comply with , as included in the Code.

A number of terrorist attacks have occurred worldwide in recent years. Terrorist organizations under the guise of “fighting for human rights”, with limited financial support from other countries, are trying to destabilize the situation in the country. At the same time, various methods of terrorist acts and attacks are used, which have severe economic and political consequences. The possible threat of such terrorist acts on the territory of our country has forced to raise questions about the protection of important state facilities (including base airfields of the State Aviation of Ukraine). In order to counter terrorist acts, which have recently been carried out in most cases with the use of unmanned aerial vehicles, which significantly increases the awareness of terrorists about the object in real time and allows making changes to previously planned actions if needed, the authors consider possible technical ways for improving systems of protection for base airfields of the State aviation of Ukraine from actions of terrorist groups with the use of basic types of sUAS. On the basis of characteristics analysis, possible tactics and features of employment of sUAS, existing technical means of detection and defeat, experience on the mentioned issues in other countries, the authors of article offered a variant of construction, a set of means for detection and counteraction (defeat) of sUAS.

In the world of superinformation featuring the Internet times, certain messages take root in the public opinion before other ones. This happens by hazard or, most often, intentionally. Falsehoods or fakes find a fertile ground to create opinions with proven potential to destabilize governments, influence elections or jeopardize important State values such as equality, dignity, pluralism, health, etc. Notwithstanding the lack of absolute truth in democracy, this article analyzes those statements issued by government, private citizens, associations or political parties, that, because of their absolute disregard for rigorous information or because of clear intention to deceive, cannot be admissible. This is so even if they are expressed in a political debate context as a result of free expression enjoyment. Democracy requires freedom of information, and demands participation, debate and opinion. In that interaction, nonetheless, minimum rules of the game —limits— must be respected so as to secure a basic democratic safeguard.
