Objective: To train young doctors and paramedical staff on needle cricothyroidotomy and surgical cricothyroidotomy and provision of kits in trauma centers, main operation theatres and medical reception centers of the hospitals. Study Design: Quasi experimental study. Place and Duration of Study: Combined Military Hospital Peshawar and Pakistan Naval Ship Shifa, Karachi Pakistan, from Nov 2017 to Oct 2020. Methodology: Doctors and paramedical staff were selected on volunteer basis. Small groups were trained in 2-3hours. The participants were shown two videos of two procedures in Urdu language first and then were trained on mannequin. Results: A total of 345 participants including 205 males and 140 females were trained with mean age was 28.2667 ± 6.24 (SD) years. Out of 61 residents, 54 medical officers, 143 house officers, 35 nurses and 52 paramedical staff were participants. Conclusion: ENT surgeons must arrange mannequins and conduct training sessions of small groups after every 1 to 2 months.

The main operation associated with the preparation of mining and metallurgical wastes for use as a hardening mixture and backfilling of mined-out space is their crushing and activation. Improving the activation processes is an urgent task, since their use can significantly increase the strength of the filling mass or reduce the consumption of the binder while maintaining its strength characteristics. For the efficient operation of mining enterprises, including ferrous metallurgy mines, it is necessary to provide highquality binders for the preparation of hardening mixtures for filling man-made voids formed during underground mining of solid mineral deposits. It has been established that the use of vibration, mechanical and electrical activation of the components of the hardening backfill mixture at mining enterprises leads to an increase in the activity of substandard materials by up to 10–40% for each apparatus. In particular, the enrichment of inert materials on a vibrating screen ГВ-1,2/3,2, Ukraine, increases the activity by 15– 20%. It has been substantiated that the activation of binders (blast-furnace granular slags) in a vertical vibrating mill МВВ-0,7, Ukraine, and a disintegrator ДУ-65 company “Disintegrator”, Estonia, increases the activity of the binder by 20–25%, when the active class of fractions 0.074 mm – by 55% is released versus 40% in ball mills. The recommended vibratory conveying installations increase the activity of the components of the hardening backfill mixture by 10–15%. The use of vibro-gravity transport installations ensures the supply of the filling mixture at a distance 15–20 times higher than the height of the vertical stack.

Objective: To compare emergency surgeries under spinal anesthesia in COVID-19 pandemic with pre-COVID period in a tertiary care hospital of a developing country. Study Design: Prospective observational study. Place and Duration of Study: Main Operation Theatre, Frontier Corps Hospital Quetta, from Mar to May 2020. Methodology: All emergency surgeries done under Spinal Anesthesia, were compared to emergency cases done in the preCOVID period. Anesthesia notes were reviewed. Emergency cases done under general anesthesia and personal protective equipment worn were also noted. Ages of the patients were from 18-75 years. Spinal anesthesia was performed by consultant anesthesiologist. Result: Among total cases, 260 emergency cases were performed in the main operation theatre during the 3 months of preCOVID period as compared to only 89 cases in the 3 months duration of COVID-19. Spinal anesthesia was used in 154 (59.2%) cases in the pre-COVID study period, while in COVID-19 pandemic 77 (86.5%) emergency cases were performed under spinal anesthesia. Conclusion: Spinal anesthesia has a significant role in the surgical management of patients in pre-COVID and especially in COVID pandemic. It provides high-quality perioperative care for patients whilst minimizing exposure to staff and utilization of scarce resources of personal protective equipment.

Plastic forming, in many cases, includes the drawing of hollow cylindrical products as the main operation. For the manufacture of such products, round blanks are used as semi-finished products. However, during the blank production from strips or tapes, their geometry causes a very significant metal loss. A very effective way to reduce metal loss is to replace round billets with square ones. The use of square blanks gives an additional increase in the height of the products. In this regard, the article investigates the drawing of a square blank into a cylindrical die. The research was carried out on the basis of the analysis of experimental work and computer modeling. According to the results of the research the rational ratios of the geometric dimensions of the tool and workpieces are found.

Automatic maker is meant as a device to produce (or compose) things by itself, by a model, customization or a program. Nowadays the most advanced automatic makers in mass use are 3D-printers.The purpose of the paper is to present methods of generating various Olympiad tasks by using evident images of virtual automatic makers. As a perspective, production (performing) of processes is also considered (as automatic 4D-makers). Besides of the main operation: putting a pixel (voxel), the following primitives with virtual things can be involved: cutting; gluing; putting a building block; erasing a building block; copying a fragment, (for 4D-) shifting a building block. Tasks are generated naturally: to make a given thing (perform a given simple process) optimally in any sense (with respect to time; to number of primitives; to number of building blocks etc.). Such tasks are well-understood, have short formulations and are difficult to be solved even with initial data of small volume; a “brute force” method is either inapplicable or gives too overestimate of complexity.

Waste is an important issue, which needs to be tackled smartly. The main objective of the project is to design a smart dustbin which will help in keeping our environment clean and also eco friendly. We are inspired from Swaach Bharat Mission. Nowadays technologies are getting smarter day-by-day so, as to keep the environment clean we are designing a smart dustbin by using different sensors .This smart dustbin will perform two main operation that is segregation and level detection .In segregation we will segregate waste in three main types Dry, Wet , Metal. Generate. We are adding this feature to maintain healthy environment and can reduce pollute that affect our health. In this proposed technology we have designed a smart dustbin using microcontroller along with different sensors, servo motor, battery and jumper wire. After all hardware and software connection, now Smart Dustbin program will run. Dustbin lid will open when someone comes near at some range than wait for user to put garbage and close it. It’s properly running or not. For social it will help toward health and hygiene, for business for we try to make it affordable to many as many possible. So that normal people to rich people can take benefit from it.

AbstractThe article deals with selected issues concerning tests results of failures of selected objects used in the analyzed real technical system. The main operation goal of the analyzed system is to provide passengers with safe transport services within a given quantitative range and over a given territory. The analyzed technical objects were transport means. Transport services were provided along scheduled routes. Selected features and characteristics of vehicle failures have been discussed. Vehicles used in the investigated technical object were disassembled for the needs of the research. Tests were performed with the use of the passive experiment method under real service conditions.
