Community Service is one of the Tri dharmas of Higher Education to be one of the accesses to achieve this vision. The community in Banjaragung Village was chosen as a partner to introduce Health Tea drinks made from pure spices. Through this activity, the author hopes to be able to carry out the mission to realize the learning process in the field of creative economic entrepreneurship with qualities that are relevant to the needs of today's society. Spices and especially sappan wood in Banjaragung Village have not been processed properly and lacked innovation. Considering that today's society needs drinks and food that can increase the body's immune system with spices, community service is made to make training to process secang wood and spices such as red ginger, lemongrass, cinnamon and tea leaves into products that are quickly consumed. by making health tea bags. Secang wood plant or the Latin nameCaesalpinia sappan is one type of spice that can be used for its woody stems or fruit. The components of bioactive compounds contained inwood, namely brazilian, brazilein, 3'-O-methyl braziline, sappansappan, chalcone, sappancalchone are known as antioxidants. Research on sappan wood as an antioxidant and can be used as a natural dye has been a lot. The counseling carried out is expected to provide insight to the community in Banjaragung Village about how to make Health Tea drinks so that they can help improve the economic level of the community.

ABSTRACT   Instant noodles constitute the food favorite in indonesia, but, consume noodles too often are better for health due noodles containing many preservative bodily harm.Various efforts have applied by healthy to noodles, by kaena that researchers interested do carry out innovation with organoleptic rind red polyrhizus dragon hylocereus ( natural ) as a dye noodles. Technique using a questionnaire the data collection of organoleptik likert consisting of indicators, the color 3 the, and texture. Next data analysis was conducted using analysis bivariat by test friedman. The the friedman show p = 0,000, that is influence rind dragon of red ( hylocereus polyrhizus ) as a dye to organoleptik natural.   Keywords: the rind of the fruit red dragon, a natural dye, noodles, organoleptik.

Abstract In the textile sector, the utilization of synthetic dyes is environmentally unfriendly and has a very harmful impact on human health and the environment. Hence, natural dye is assumed to be a suitable alternative for sustainable textile manufacturing and colouration, but it remains challenging to prepare the dyes having high stability with textile fablric. Herein we have demonstrated the dyeing process for cotton fabric with natural dye extractions from turmeric (Curcuma longa L.) and tea (Camellia sinensis) in the presence of mordant. Subsequently, we have prepared copper and 2-methyl 8-hydroxyquinoline functionalized graphene oxide (GO) (CHG) trinary-composite as mordant to improve the stability and colour strength of naturally extracted dyes. The prepared trinary-composite was investigated using various techniques such as FTIR, XRD, UV, and TGA analysis. To evaluate the effect of CHG composite, it mixed with natural extracted dyes such as turmeric and tea dyes, converted to CHG functionalized turmeric and tea dyes (TuCHG and TeCHG) for the dyeing of cotton fabric. TuCHG and TeCHG dyed cotton fabrics exhibited superior colourfastness, wash fastness and rub fastness in comparison to only turmeric and tea dyes dyed cotton fabrics. TuCHG and TeCHG dyes also demonstrated decent antibacterial properties. The present study indicates the new aspect for prepared mordant to increase natural dye colour strength and stability. Thus, this process is a much safer, cost-effective and sustainable method for the application of natural dyes with enhanced substantively for cotton fabric.

Actinomycins as clinical medicine have been extensively studied, while few investigations were conducted to discover the feasibility of actinomycins as antimicrobial natural dye contributing to the medical value of the functional fabrics. This study was focused on the application of actinomycin X2 (Ac.X2), a peptide pigment cultured from marine-derived Streptomyces cyaneofuscatus, in the dyeing and finishing of silk fabric. The dyeing potential of Ac.X2 with silk vs. cotton fabrics was assessed. As a result, the silk fabric exhibited greater uptake and color fastness with Ac.X2. Through Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and X-ray diffraction (XRD) analyses, some changes of chemical property for the dyed fabric and Ac.X2 were studied. The silk fabric dyed with Ac.X2 exhibited good UV protection ability. The antibacterial properties of dyed and finished silk were also evaluated, which exhibited over 90% antibacterial activity even after 20 washing cycles. In addition, the brine shrimp assay was conducted to evaluate the general toxicity of the tested fabric, and the results indicated that the dyed silk fabrics had a good biological safety property.
