A floating system tablet was made using HPMC K4M and Na matrices. CMC with the active substance diphenhydramine HCl, which absorption in the stomach. The research aims to determine the effect of a combination of HPMC K4M and Na. CMC matrices are optimal in a floating system formulation. This research used an experimental method with a RAL design. Tablets were made by direct compression and were evaluated. The results were then analyzed statistically using One Way ANOVA. The loss results on the drying test, the tapped density test, and the measurement of the angle of repose of all formulations met the requirements. The powder flow rates of all formulations did not meet the requirements. The resulting tablet is white, bitter, round, and smells of medicine. Tablets in all formulations have uniform weight according to requirements. The hardness test results showed that only formulation 3 met the requirements, while all formulations did not meet the requirements in the friability test. In the lag time test, the results obtained in formulation 1 and formulation 2, formulation 3, and formulation 4 are 4 seconds, 4 seconds, 3 seconds, and 1 second. In contrast, the floating time results show that all formulations can float for 24 hours. All evaluation results indicate that the optimal formulation in formulation 3.

Abstract Validation of the extent of water removal in a dry storage system using an industrial vacuum drying procedure is needed. Water remaining in casks upon completion of vacuum drying can lead to cladding corrosion, embrittlement, and breaching, as well as fuel degradation. In order to address the lack of time-dependent industrial drying data, this study employs a vacuum drying procedure to evaluate the efficiency of water removal over time in a scaled system. Isothermal conditions are imposed to generate baseline pressure and moisture data for comparison to future tests under heated conditions. A pressure vessel was constructed to allow for the emplacement of controlled quantities of water and connections to a pumping system and instrumentation. Measurements of pressure and moisture content were obtained over time during sequential vacuum hold points, where the vacuum flow rate was throttled to draw pressures from 100 torr down to 0.7 torr. The pressure rebound, dew point, and water content were observed to eventually diminish with increasingly lower hold points, indicating a reduction in retained water.

This research correlates the setting temperature of the Soil Cement (SC) with its resilient modulus, based on the maturity index of three mixtures made with different types of cements: general use, High Early Resistance, and Moderate Heat of Hydration. Each mix design has a compressive strength of 4,5 MPa at 7 days of age and durability measured with the 10% wetting and drying test. The method consisted of curing the samples of the three mix designs at three different temperatures -11, 30, and 40 ◦C- and then monitoring the development of the temperature within the samples during the first thirty hours. At 28 days of age, the resistance modulus of the samples was measured with cyclic triaxial equipment. After analyzing the results, a linear equation was deduced which would facilitate quality control during the construction process. This prevents microcracking of the compacted layers, since their fracturing is not neccessary during the extraction of nuclei and field density tests.

Turmeric is a plant that included in Zingiberaceae. Turmerics often used as a traditional medicine to heal wounds, antibacterial, reduces intestine motility, reduce unpleasant body odor, treats fever, diarrhea, and many more. Standardization is performed by examining turmeric rhizome simpicia and extract. Standardization is carried out to guarantee the quality of traditional raw materials and requirements for reproducibility of pharmaceutical and therapeutic qualities. Parameters that have been used in this research are macroscopic test, microscopic test, total ash content test, acid insoluble ash content test, water soluble simplicia content test, ethanol soluble simplicia content test, shrinkage drying test, and Phytochemistry screening qualitatively. From the results, turmeric simplicia has met the requirements, while turmeric extract has  not eligible in requirements, because its acid insoluble ash content are not eligible. This expected because of the impurities which contamine the extract are silica and sand.  Silica can cuts the mucosa of the throat when used it orally. Turmeric extract in this research does not eligible and cannot be used for the next step.

The purpose of this paper was to evaluate the impact of maintenance to some mechanical properties of coated fabrics. Polyester is often used for outerwear because of its high durability. Coating application enhances several physical – mechanical properties of fabric. The reverse side of the test fabrics were laminated with a thin layer of the membrane to ensure complete water resistance. Since the micro-pores are sufficiently small, they will not let water through, but they let vapour through from inside to outside. It makes these kind fabrics vapour-permeable and therefore very comfortable for wearing. Although we can damage the micro-pores in the fabric very quickly whether by false maintenance mode at home for washing or drying. Test fabrics of this study were chosen from kid`s outerwear collection. Kids are good for testing of ready to wear garments but this time, the emphasis was on laboratory tests of basic fabrics. The aim of this study was to test the outer fabric under the conditions of domestic care and thereafter to carry out tests on abrasion resistance and tearing of cared fabrics.
