Abstract The Lombok Strait located between Bali Island and Lombok Island, Indonesia. Lombok Strait is complex area because influence by Indonesian Throughflow and influence by Tidal Current. For this case want to research about tidal current circulation and simulated using a three-dimensional baroclinic hydrodynamic numerical modelling method by Finite Volume Coastal Ocean Model (FVCOM). The study was simulated during 1-year on 2004, February. The model just simulated by barotropic condition and only influence by elevation tide in open boundary. The verification of ocean current (u and v components) from the model compare with observation data has a high coefficient of determination, i.e., 0.9, respectively. This verification result shows good agreement between model and observation data. For the result model, in the Lombok strait dominant influence by M2 semidiurnal component from Indian Ocean and K1 diurnal component from Pacific Ocean. The current circulation in the near surface dominant movement pattern from southern to northern. On the other hand, for the vertical current in 100 – 600 meter is different with near surface. The current movement from northern to southern. In the sill area have upwelling phenomenon in the north side of the sill and downwelling in south of the sill.

The geographical location of Lampung Bay, which is located in the southern part of Sumatra Island and separated from Java Island by the Sunda Strait, has direct access to the waters off the Indian Ocean. This will affect the surface current circulation pattern that is formed. This research aims to model surface currents in Lampung Bay using a hydrodynamic model approach, especially in 2nd transitional monsoon (October - November 2020). Model verification is carried out by comparing the results of the current model with the results of field current measurements using a valeport current meter which was carried out from 12 October to 9 November 2020. The results showed that the dominant surface current was generated by tides with a tidal current percentage of 89.09%. The tidal type is a mixed type of mixed tide prevailing semidiurnal with a Formzahl value of 0.4. The maximum current speed is 0.168 m/s in the direction of 352° and the minimum current is 0.017 in the direction of 33°, so that the direction of movement tends to be back and forth. At high tide, the current moves northward from the Sunda Strait into the waters of Lampung Bay, and vice versa at low tide the current moves southward out of the waters of the Lampung Bay towards the Sunda Strait.

Marketing strategy in Malaysia has become a phenomenon among marketers in making a profit. However, the marketing strategy carried out raises various controversies that are beyond the limits of sharia. Most product marketers neglect Islamic marketing strategies in their efforts to market their products. Thus, this study was conducted to identify and analyze the strategies used in the effort to market the product. Next, will summarize the strategies most commonly used by product marketers. The data collected is qualitative using a library research approach. The results of the study found that there are clear differences between Islamic marketing strategies and marketing strategies in Malaysia. Implications, a detailed study on Islamic marketing strategies should be conducted based on issues that arise according to the current circulation to uphold Islamic marketing while providing awareness to marketers in Malaysia.

In the different mesophotic bioconstructions recently found along the Southeastern Italian coast, polychaetes have been proved to show high species richness and diversity, hitherto never investigated. In the present study, the species composition and functional role of polychaete assemblages were analysed; the updated key to identification of the Mediterranean species of genus Eunice was presented and some taxonomic issues were also discussed. On the total of 70 species Serpulidae and Eunicida were the dominant polychaetes. Facing similar levels of α-diversity, the polychaete assemblages showed a high turnover of species along the north-south gradient, clearly according to the current circulation pattern, as well as to the different bioconstructors as biological determinants. Indeed, Serpulidae were dominant on the mesophotic bioconstructions primarily formed by the deep-sea oyster Neopycnodonte cochlear, while the Eunicida prevailed on the mesophotic bioconstructions mainly built by scleractinians. Lastly, the record of Eunice dubitata was the first for the Mediterranean and Italian fauna and proved this species to be characteristic of mesophotic bioconstructions.

Abstract The increasing distribution and prevalence of fasciolosis in both human and livestock are concerning. Here, we examine the various types of factors influencing fasciolosis transmission and burden and the interrelations that may exist between them. We present the arsenal of molecules, ‘adjusting’ capabilities and parasitic strategies of Fasciola to infect. Such features define the high adaptability of Fasciola species for parasitism that facilitate their transmission. We discuss current environmental perturbations (increase of livestock and land use, climate change, introduction of alien species and biodiversity loss) in relation to fasciolosis dynamics. As Fasciola infection is directly and ultimately linked to livestock management, living conditions and cultural habits, which are also changing under the pressure of globalization and climate change, the social component of transmission is also discussed. Lastly, we examine the implication of increasing scientific and political awareness in highlighting the current circulation of fasciolosis and boosting epidemiological surveys and novel diagnostic techniques. From a joint perspective, it becomes clear that factors weight differently at each place and moment, depending on the biological, environmental, social and political interrelating contexts. Therefore, the analyses of a disease as complex as fasciolosis should be as integrative as possible to dissect the realities featuring each epidemiological scenario. Such a comprehensive appraisal is presented in this review and constitutes its main asset to serve as a fresh integrative understanding of fasciolosis.

AbstractIntroductionIn Brazil, West Nile virus (WNV) was first detected in 2018 from horses with neurological disease.AimHere we present the first reported case in Ceará state and complete genome sequence from an isolated in Espírito Santo state from 2019.MethodsThe virus was isolated from a horse that died with neurological signs in Espírito Santo and was sequenced by MiSeq.ResultsPhylogenetic analysis reveals that this isolate belongs to lineage 1a, clustering with NY99 strain, that disappeared from the USA since 2005.ConclusionsOur findings reinforce the hypothesis that WNV has been silently circulating in Brazil for many years.
