Carbon dioxide is gas produced by industrial pollution and motor vehicle exhaust emissions. The air is declared clean and healthy for human activities if the CO level does not exceed 15 ppm. Industrial pollution or motor vehicle pollution does not only pollute the outdoor air, but it is very likely to pollute the indoor air. For this reason, a system that is able to monitor and control CO levels in the room has been designed so that it is safe for users while doing this activities. The research stage is carried out by making a series of sensors to detect CO gas and then the sensor circuit is connected to the Arduino UNO microcontroller as an interface with a PC. The program used is LabVIEW programming as a neural programming for displaying Virtual Instruments as display media. The output system is an air purifier system that cleans the indoor air when the CO level is more than 15 ppm. Based on the results of trials and analyzes, the response of the sensor system is able to detect changes in CO gas within 7 seconds. The average monitoring of CO levels result when observed 30 times was 11.47 ppm. The air purifier response time is able to restore indoor CO levels to the maximum threshold of 15 ppm in the fastest time of 3 minutes and 22 seconds.

Abstract: Concern for nature must indeed be considered, because to prevent undesirable effects such as global warming or damage to the surrounding environment. The cause of this impact is a result of nature and even human actions themselves, such as due to volcanoes erupting, waste disposal, vehicle pollution, and others. But there are also causes of other things, namely the establishment of a building without looking at the surrounding environment, which only emphasizes the function and aesthetics, so it becomes a very important problem. Green architecture is a concept where buildings to be erected must have criteria to support the natural surroundings, so this concept is very used to minimize or prevent natural damage caused by buildings. An example of the building that will be applied in this research is the Geology Museum, considering that Indonesia has a complex geographical location and natural wealth from the bowels and extraterrestrial. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method, which is the depiction or explaining the facts in the field by analyzing and discussing them broadly so that they can find results and conclusions. Keywords: Green Architecture, Museum, Qualitative Descriptive.

ABSTRACT. Introduction: Thanks to filtration by foliage, urban trees have a crucial role in air depuration. However, the exposure to pollutants could reduce their health and physiological performance, mainly because of low access to light and clogging of stomata by particulate matter. Objective: The accumulation of particulate matter on leaves (PMAL) and physiological traits of five urban tree species (Croton bogotanus Cuatrec., Eugenia myrtifolia Sims., Ficus soatensis Dugand, Schinus mole L., and Sambucus nigra L.) were quantified in sixty points in Bogotá, with the aims to (1) build a model explaining the PMAL based on traffic variables, (2) establishing the effect of vehicle pollution on physiological and phytosanitary variables, and (3) to evaluate the susceptibility of seedlings and trees to vehicle pollution. Methods: The physiological parameters: photochemical efficiency, stomatal conductance, chlorophyll content, leaf area, and specific leaf mass were measured and correlated with phytosanitary condition, PMAL and traffic variables: number of lanes, vehicular flow and tree-to-avenue distance. Additionally, tree physiological responses were measured in control, residential streets (RS), low traffic avenues (LTA), and high traffic avenues (HTA), and these last were compared with physiology of seedlings planted by three months in HTA. Results: PMAL was strongly associated with physiological responses. Ficus soatensis and C. bogotanus were the species with the maximum and the minimum PMAL. The exposure to traffic increased the photochemical efficiency and specific leaf mass, which could be related to the enrichment of nitrogen and atmospheric CO2. The stomatal conductance followed a bell pattern of low gas exchange in control sites, high values in RS and LTA, and decreasing again in HTA, which suggests an optimization in CO2 fixation at intermediate levels of pollution and susceptibility to stomatal clogging by extreme vehicle emissions. The chlorophyll a/b ratio, leaf area, and specific leaf mass were significantly related to the severity of leaf symptoms, and S. molle was the species with the healthiest leaves in HTA. Seedlings were more susceptible to pollution than trees, and fruits size and seedlings growth were affected by vehicular pollution. Conclusions: Ficus soatensis optimizes particle filtration and C. bogotanus is ideal for planting in HTA, although only as saplings. By contrast, the fast-growing E. myrtifolia and S. nigra seedlings should not be planted in HTA because of susceptibility of pigment contents, leaf area, and stomatal conductance to pollutants. Finally, because of its persistent high stomatal conductance and its low leaf symptoms, S. molle is the species with the best adaptation to vehicle pollution. A complete analysis of interactions among traffic, physiology, and health will help to improve the urban forestry planning.

The environmental concerns are on the rise these days. Car, bus, and truck air pollutants can worsen respiratory diseases and cause asthma attacks. Transportation is responsible for airborne carbon monoxide at more than 50 per cent. At present, the emissions of the vehicle is checked with the aid of pollution control stations built in some cities only when the fitness certificate (FC) is obtained from the RTO office. In case of private cars, the health certificates are valid for 15 years and every 5 years thereafter. In case of Transport Vehicles, the fitness certificate is given for a new vehicle for 2 years and then extended each year. Under this process, we cannot detect emissions caused if the vehicle has been repaired until FC. Using IoT Technology, this project aims to monitor and alert air pollution on roads and to track vehicles that cause emissions above a given threshold by connecting the Global System of Mobile Communications Network to the cloud. This also concentrates on avoiding the accidents caused by vehiclegenerated carbon monoxide gas using MQ7 Gas sensor.

Background: COPD is a pulmonary disease characterized by air obstruction in respiratory tract from bronchi to the bronchioles, which continuously occur progressively, and irreversible, and related with the inflammatory response due to toxic gases (cigarette smoke, factory pollution and vehicle pollution) so it can cause a desaturation oxygen (SpO2). This impact will caused in concentration decreased, functional activity reduction, hypoxemia, hypoxia until cyanosis. To prevent this impact, there are two non-pharmacological methods that can be applied, a tripod position and pursed lips breathing exercise. Purpose: To determine the effectiveness of tripod position and pursed lips breathing to enhance oxygen saturation in patients with COPD.Methods: The research used queasy experimental with pre-posttest design. This research used total sampling that have 34 samples COPD patient which is include in inclusion criteria in working area of Puskesmas Padangsari Semarang. The samples are divided into 2 treatment groups (tripod position groups and pursed lips breathing groups) that gives 15 minutes therapy 3 times within 3 continuous days. This research will begins from February until March 2019. Statistical test to determine the affectivity of each groups using non-parametric test (Mann-Whitney test). Results: the result of this research shows differences effectiveness between tripod position and pursed lips breathing with p value 0.00 with mean deviation before and after therapy of tripod position 0.29 and pursed lips breathing 1.23.Conclusion: in this research shows that pursed lips breathing is most effective to enhance oxygen saturation in COPD patient compare with tripod position.
