In this study, we studied the effects of offset boosting on the memristive chaotic system. A system with symmetry and conditional symmetry was constructed, by adding the absolute value function to an offset boosting system. It is proved that the symmetric system or a conditionally symmetric system can be constructed with similar or the same dynamic characteristics by using certain correction and offset boosting in an asymmetric system. In addition to multiple stability, the memristive system can also realize the amplitude and frequency control by introducing a parameter. The simulation circuit verifies the amplitude modulation characteristics of the system.

Stable power supply has become a crucial thing in the current era of technology and automation. Although the power system has multiple stability issues and causes, frequency fluctuation plays a vital role in normal operation, whereby a system with significant frequency deviation can lead to the needless blackouts of the whole power system. With the rapid growth in power electronic converter (PEC)-based technologies and the huge penetration of nonsynchronous generators, the modern power system is becoming more complex by the day. This paper provides a comprehensive study on the stability issues that occur in modern power systems, mainly due to PEC-based technology integration. The in-depth reasons and the impacts of unstable power systems, along with their controlling techniques, are discussed to generate a clear understanding. Furthermore, the importance of frequency stability in a power system is discussed with respect to some important events that occurred in the past. This paper also discusses some potential techniques that could be performed to overcome the existing and/or upcoming challenges in the upgrading power system.

In this paper, in order to analyze the coexistent multiple-stability of system, a fractional-order memristive Chua’s circuit with time delay is proposed, which is composed of a passive flux-controlled memristor and a negative conductance as a parallel combination. First, the Chua’s circuit can be considered as a nonlinear feedback system consisting of a nonlinear block and a linear block with low-pass properties. In the complex plane, the nonlinear element of the system can be approximated by a variable gain called a describing function. Second, compared with conventional computation, the describing function can accurately predict the hidden dynamics, fixed points, periodic orbits, unstable behaviors of the system. By using this method, the full mapping of the system dynamics in parameter spaces is presented, and the coexistent multiple-stability of the system is investigated in detail. Third, using bifurcation diagram, phase diagram, time domain diagram and power spectrum diagram, the dynamical behaviors of the system under different system parameters and initial values are discussed. Finally, based on Adams–Bashforth–Moulton (ABM) method, the correctness of theoretical analysis is verified by numerical simulation, which shows that the fractional-order delayed memristive Chua’s system has complex coexistent multiple-stability.
