The article is devoted to the analysis of the scientific heritage of Mery Elen Richmond. A cornerstone of building the social work profession, Mary Richmond was known for her ability to organize communities, her development of casework practice, as well as her ability to teach and speak intelligently on a wide array of subjects. The subject of the article is the provisions on the activities of charitable organizations in the United States during the life and work of the researcher. The article describes the main problems in the activities of charitable organizations of the late 19th - early 20th centuries During this time Richmond was connected to the COS, she demonstrated her qualities as a leader, teacher, and practical theorist; ; revealed the functions of charitable organizations in the theory and practice of M. E. Richmond; described possible provisions for improving the activities of charitable organizations in accordance with the legacy of Mary Ellen Richmond, who is considered a principle founder of the profession of social work and the importance of professional education. Her first principle was that care had to focus on the person within their situation. Building on extensive research, she developed what she labelled ‘social diagnosis’. Her famous circle diagram visualized the correspondence of client and environment. Richmond identified six sources of power that are available to clients and their social workers: sources within the household, in the person of the client, in the neighborhood and wider social network, in civil agencies, in private and public agencies. This is a precursor of the system theory that was so popular in 1970’s social work.

UNSTRUCTURED We read with great interest the study by Grammes et al. on research output and international cooperation among countries during the COVID-19 pandemic. The paper is a quantitative study using scientometric analysis instead of a qualitative research using citation analysis. A total of 7,185 publications were extracted from Web of Science Core Collection (WoS) with keywords of “covid19 OR covid-19 OR sarscov2 OR sars-cov-2” as of July 4, 2020. We replicated a citation analysis study to extract abstracts from Pubmed Central(PMC) with similar keywords mentioned above and obtained 35,421 articles relevant to COVID-10 matching their corresponding number of citation in PMC. one hundred top-cited atricles were selected and compared on diagrams. Social network analysis combined with citation numbers in articles was performed to analyze international cooperation among countries. The results were shown on a world map instead of the circle diagram in the previous study. A Sankey diagram was applied to highlight entities(e.g., countries, article types, medical subject headings, and journals) with the most citations. Authors from Chian dominated citations in these 100 top-cited articles rather than the US in publications addressed in the previous study. Both visual representations of the world map and Sankey diagram were provided to readers with a better understanding of the research output and international cooperation among countries during the COVID-19 pandemic

Cohesion is defined as the shear strength of material when compressive stress is zero. This article presents a new method for the experimental determination of cohesion at pre-set angles of shear deformation. Specially designed moulds are created to force deformation (close to τ-axis) at fixed pre-set values of angle with respect to normal stress σ. Testing is performed on series of concrete blocks of different strengths. From the compressive side, cohesion is determined from the extrapolation of the linear Mohr–Coulomb (MC) model, as the intercept on the shear stress axis. From the tensile stress side (from the left), cohesion is obtained using the Brazilian test results: first, indirect tensile strength of material σtBT is measured, then Mohr circle diagram values are calculated and cohesion is determined as the value of shear stress τBT on the Mohr circle where normal stress (σ)t = 0. A hypothesis is made that cohesion is the common point between two tests. In the numerical part, a theory of ultimate load is applied to model Brazilian test using the angle of shear friction from the MC model. Matching experimental and numerical results confirm that the proposed procedure is applicable in numerical analysis.

Introduction. An assessing of the sportsman's physiological reserve (PR) and its dynamics is important when planning and carrying out a training, forecasting sportsman's results. An importance of this problem increases in highperformance sports, and energy consumption sports. A complexity of solving of this problem is caused by the requirement of taking into account of the complex of the biomedical parameters and formation of an integral parameter. This parameter reflects functioning of various body systems which provide significant income to the sportsman’s result achievement. Objective. Development of the method and the system of PR assessing allowing complex investigation of the PR during the training process. Method and materials. For achievement of the aim the tasks were formulated and solved using methods of biomedical research and engineering, mathematical processing and analysis of the diagnostically valuable parameters. Results. The complex of the biomedical parameters reflecting sportsman’s body metabolism in condition of physical exercises is formed. They are the heart rate, the heart rate variability, the pulse frequency, the systolic and diastolic pressure, the respiratory rate, the blood saturation, and the stress index by Baevsky. It is important for PR assessing to assess parameters characterizing sportsman’s physiological reserves at the current moment and its dynamics. The circle diagram is proposed for taking into account of all mentioned parameters and its variation dynamics. The value of the integral PR parameter is an area of a polygon, which is obtained on the circle diagram using normalized values of the diagnostically significant parameters. The method of biomedical investigation of the sportsman and the method of PR assessing based on the complex of the body system parameters are developed. The scheme of assessing of sportsman's body physiological reserves before and after the training is proposed. The scheme allows to assess not only sportsman's body energy consumption during the training but also its recovery after the training. General structures of the biotechnical system and a structures of systems of picking up, registration, processing, and analysis of biomedical signals for assessing of sportsman's physiological reserves are developed. Special attention is given to the development of a wearable device for synchronous registration of the complex of biomedical parameters and algorithms of assessing of the diagnostically significant parameters of sportsman's body physiological reserves. Conclusion. The proposed method of sportsman's physiologic reserves investigation and the structure of the system with spatially distributed architecture allow sport medicine doctor and coach to assess an efficiency of sportsman's training process with respect to his potential capabilities, and efficiently control the training process.

It was proposed to estimate the accuracy of the hydro-cylinder cross-section shapes basing on the analysis of the circle diagram of their inner cylindrical surfaces, formed by the manufacturing operations, such as rough and semi-finishing boring and finishing paying-out, taking advantage of the method of deflection approximation from the circle by the Fourier’s trigonometric series in the gap [0, 2π]. Characteristics of the deflection dispersion of the radius-vector as the random value (average value, dispersion, amplitude spectrum) have been obtained for every circle diagram separately. It is proposed to present these characteristics as random values. Dependences for finding mathematic expectation and dispersion for the lot of parts, machined at every of the available manufacturing operation, have been obtained for certain number of samples and circle diagrams, taking advantage of the small sampling theory, the method of rectangular engagement in particular. The effectiveness of manufacturing operations has been estimated according to the Student and Fisher t-test. Availability of the advantageous or disadvantageous manufacturing heredity of the hydrocylinder cross-section shape has been found. As the result of carried out experimental investigations and processing of the obtained statistic data on the inner cylindrical surface of the truck hoist crane hydrocylinder KTA-25, produced by the company “Drogobych truck crane plant” (Ukraine), the need to improve the manufacturing operation of the semi-finishing boring has been analysed.

The series universal machine could be operated on d.c. or a.c. source. It was relatively complicated to analyze its operating characteristic. A good concise analysis method was introduced. By using the phase diagram to from a ‘circle diagram’ and the relationship between the pertinent line segments and the angles, its operating characteristic was got. Namely, its operating characteristic was the variation of current, torque, power, speed, etc. as the load was varied.
