Red and white meat is a perfect, high-quality protein that comprises all of the nine essential amino acids (EAAs) that cannot be synthesized endogenously. Meat is the normal source of this vitamin, as well as other types of vitamins. Meat affords a range of significant vitamins and minerals that the human body needs, many of which are more bioavailable and easily absorbed than the nutrients found in plant sources. The nutrients in meat support the immune system, participate in the formation of muscle tissue, red blood cells (RBCs), and hormones, and warranty accurate functioning of the nervous system. These nutrients also affect the human senses of smell and taste, benefit our thyroids, and support antioxidant production. The main sources of pathogens in meat and meat products are; the animal itself; human handlers; equipment’s in contact, environmental sources, and water used in the preparation. Meat Borne Diseases, since ancient times, played a central role in public health. This chapter is divided into nine parts, part one to part eight deals with the most important pathogens that have been associated with meat borne diseases (MBDs), these include, Meat Borne Prionic Diseases; Viral Diseases; Bacterial Diseases; Protozoal Diseases; Parasitic Diseases; Fungal Diseases; Mycotoxins; Rickettsial Diseases; while the nine-part deal with the methods of meat preservation and storage.

Abstract. The study aims to review the scientific evidence related to football for amputees. For the reference search, the following keywords were used as descriptors: “Football” and “Amputee”. The terms were entered in English in the following computerized databases: SPORTDiscus, PUBMED, Web of Science and SCOPUS, considering all the documents published up to September 2020. To limit the search, four inclusion criteria were introduced: 1) Select documents available in full text or with abstract, 2) Have enough relevant information about soccer for amputees (Minimum 50 words), 3) Provide information related to the physical condition, training, injuries and / or social aspects of the players of soccer for people with amputations, and 4) Be written in Spanish, English or Portuguese. The exploratory systematic review featured ten football related documents for amputees. The existing documents related to the subject are scarce as a consequence of the lack of evolution of this modality. These manuscripts, for the most part, deal with aspects such as strength and endurance. Furthermore, only one document talks about the use of inertial devices in their measurements. Therefore, there is a need for further research in the field of football for amputees.

This book is the second of two volumes collecting together the most substantial work in analytic theology that I have done between 2003 and 2018. The first volume contains essays focused, broadly speaking, on the nature of God; this second volume contains essays focused more on doctrines about humanity, the human condition, and how human beings relate to God. The essays in the first part deal with the doctrines of the incarnation, original sin, and atonement; the essays in the second part discuss the problem of evil, the problem of divine hiddenness, and a theological problem that arises in connection with the idea God not only tolerates but validates a response of angry protest in the face of these problems.

The article focuses on ethics being mentioned and addressed to in banks’ publicly accessible documents in Slovenian banking system. Authors in the first part deal with the question, whether a bank as a financial institution can be ethical as such, taking the responsibility for formation and development in the recent financial crisis into consideration. However, ethics in banking refers to ethical behaviour and activities at all levels of banking operations: from back office to front office, bank’s policies and strategies, and nevertheless, banks’ influence and involvement in the community. Such banks provide financing for projects and scholarships, sponsor events, promote environmental protection and similar activities described as socially responsible banking. Socially responsible banks can by all means act ethically. Our research is geographically wise limited to the banking system of Slovenia and content wise by looking merely into the fact whether or not ethics and ethical principles are present in Slovenian banking system and being a subject of banks’ reporting. We do not place a judgment about individual bank or banking system behaviour regarding ethics. The research is fully based on the presumption that information held in annual reports and other publicly accessible sources are correct and honest. In that context we set and tested two hypotheses. First (H1), being divided into two sub hypotheses, deals with the presence of ethics and ethical activities (H1a) and definition of ethical bank behaviour in banks’ publicly accessible documents (H2a) and second (H2) tests, whether banks in Slovenian banking system have ethical codes. We have accepted H1a and H2 and partly accepted H1b.

The volume reflects L.M. Singhvi’s prodigious scholarship. His signature writing style is brilliant, articulate, fluent, and honest. He believed in maintaining clarity in his writings to make it simple and intelligible to readers, despite the complexity of the issues that he addressed in his works. Dr L.M. Singhvi had a multifaceted personality—author, jurist, statesman, philosopher, and a social reformer. A product of many reputed universities like the University of Allahabad, University of Rajasthan, Harvard University, and Cornell University, he was most celebrated Indian public figure of the contemporary times. A disciple of eminent jurist Dr K.M. Munshi, he entered into Parliament at a young age of 30 years as an independent member in Lok Sabha from the Jodhpur constituency and made a great contribution in the parliamentary proceedings and discussions. The contents of the present volume are divided into two parts. Part 1 deals with the biographical account of Dr L.M. Singhvi which covers many phases of his life journey and contributions. Part 2 contains a number of unpublished papers of Dr Singhvi which are thematically organized in three different sections. Sections of this part deal with Dr Singhvi’s academic writings on issues pertaining to public governance and administration.

The delivery of teacher education courses often for the most part deal with the visible parts of knowledge, the "know-what", which is often disconnected from the tacit knowledge, the "know-how", required in authentic teaching environments. It could be argued that would-be teachers do undergo practice teaching as part of their preparations and before becoming licensed professionals but said experience could be very brief. Said transitory period of practice-teaching may not be enough to internalize the range of skills and strategies that the new teachers need in facing the rigors of the real classroom setting. The purpose of this empirical study is to explore the impact of simSchool, a computer-based classroom simulator to the pedagogical style and expertise of pre-service Filipino teachers. The study utilized a quasi-experimental design. Purposefully, the study involved thirty (30) randomly selected practicum teacher education senior students. Two Likert-type survey instruments were used in the study and qualitative data were as well collected through teaching reflections and focus group discussions to supplement the quantitative data. For the statistical analyses, descriptive statistics were determined, Paired-Samples t Tests was used to determine pre-post differences within groups and Cohen’s d was used to determine effect sizes across measurement indices.  Findings of the study revealed that simschool enhanced the pedagogical style and proficiency of the pre-service teachers and interestingly could complement effectually the in-placed practicum course. These suggest the promising progressive impact of simSchool, if adapted, to the existing teacher education program.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to shed light on the contribution that history can give to marketing strategies aimed at revitalizing fashion brands. It focuses on the revival strategy implemented in recent years by the Pucci fashion company. Design/methodology/approach – The analysis is carried out in four parts. Marketing literature dealing with “brand revival” is reviewed in the first part. The second and the third part deal with the main characteristics featured, respectively, by the original and restored Palio and Vivara collections. In the fourth part, by applying the key concepts provided to us by the marketing literature, we pinpoint the chief values which Pucci’s retro-marketing strategy has emphasized upon and those that instead have been partially, if not completely, neglected. The research is based on a mix of sources including records kept by historical archives, fashion press, economic and financial databases and exhibition catalogues. Findings – The research shows that resorting to the past to revitalize a fashion brand can backfire if the retro-marketing strategy is not supported by an extensive knowledge of the firm’s history, and by a well documented analysis of the historical background in which the brand was originally introduced. Originality/value – The paper provides an example of interdisciplinary approach to brand revival, a marketing strategy to which an increasing number of firms resort to meet the consumers’ call for nostalgic innovation.

One of the aspects of the formation of consensus under the Fascist state concerns the construction of the Fascist ‘man’. This article takes up this notion and explores it in relation to children. The first part deal with the legislative process according to which Fascist rituals and myths were introduced into the school curriculum. The second part examines the letters that were sent to the Duce by children during the period of the regime. The majority of letters appear to have been dictated by elementary school teachers according to precise directives, but nonetheless there is some evidence of the spontaneous manifestation of the feelings of infants. The most significant aspect concerns the transfiguration of the Duce himself into a figure of fable in ways that could not but impact on the imagination of those who were born and raised between the 1920s and later 1930s.

The following paper is intended to form a link between the elementary text-books, which for the most part deal with stable monetary conditions, and the voluminous output of modern writings on the financial situation of the present day. The immediate objects of the paper are to collect very briefly the opinions of experts as to the practical forces which now operate on foreign exchange, to differentiate between points on which they agree and points on which they differ, and to explain where necessary the technical language used.
