A six months survey (2-8/1994) was canied out to determine norcaiidal mastitis in cattle in certain dairy herds. A total 126 milk samples collected from mastitic‘ cows and milk tank. Of which 10 from Al-Khalis station, 15 from A1-Wahda station, 6 from White Good village, 90 from Al-Dejaila station and 5 fromMilktauk. Examination of the samples result in isolation of Norcaitlia asteroides from Al-Dejaila station. The results explained that 25 animals were positive for norcaridal infection with prevalence of 20.8 % of these 25 cases, 5 cases, in pure cultural and 20 cases, mixed with other organisms. Bacteriological examination of mill: tank also resulted in positive for norcaridial isolates. Metastasis to the lung and supramammary lymph node was demonstrated. The results also explained that norcardial isolates from mastitic cows were more virulent to guinea pigs, andthis study revealed that norcardial infection are not rare in cattle.

One of the growing concerns in companies in developed countries and in Brazil is to look for new ways to stay in the market, increasing their productivity and improving the quality of their products. The FMEA methodology allows us to avoid, through the analysis of potential failures and proposals for improvement actions, failures in the design of the product or process occur, in order to increase reliability. The reliability of a product is the reflection of the number of failures it presents when subjected to stress tests, thus helping in the detection of problems, determining the time to be offered as a guarantee and helping in the prevention of new failures. The objective of this article is to present a proposal for the application of an FMEA in a white line company, where there is a product with a high failure rate, in which this issue will be analyzed and direct proposals for improvements, seeking to reduce its occurrence in the product.

Bobet, Leah. Above. New York: Arthur A. Levine Books-Scholastic, 2012. PrintThis Young Adult urban fantasy novel takes place in present-day Toronto, Canada. The main character is Matthew, a teenager growing up in an underground, secret community known as Safe. This community was founded by Matthew’s guardian, Atticus, for disabled outcasts and people with abnormalities.  For example, Atticus has claws for hands, and Matthew has scales. In this underground community, Matthew is Teller, which means that he collects and remembers the stories of different individuals living in Safe. Matthew is in love with the traumatized girl Ariel, who can shape-shift into a bee and has wings. Ariel came to the Safe as a teenager, and lived in the city before then, but she is slow to trust others, including Matthew, and runs away frequently.Safe is threatened by an exile, known as Corner, who works with an army of shadows. Eventually, Corner invades Safe by following Ariel home after one of the times she ran away. This causes the community to disperse Above, which is actually downtown Toronto.  Once there, with the help of Ariel, Matthew has to reunite his community, and reclaim Safe. In order to do this, Matthew must discover the history of Corner, and its connection to Safe. He learns that there are two sides to every story, and not everything is black and white. Good people can make mistakes, and love and relationships are complex and defining elements of what it means to be human.Above has important messages about themes of “good” and “evil” and the gray areas in between. By blurring the lines between fantasy, magic, and medicine, these themes are easy to bridge into the real world. The focus on outcasts and disabled people gives the book a unique perspective, and the setting takes readers to both well-known and often passed over areas of downtown Toronto. The book suffers from poor setup, however, and slow character development.  Leah Bobet uses a stilted writing style, meant to reflect the main character’s education and state of mind.  Often this style makes the plotline difficult to follow, and undercuts some of the more intriguing descriptions of Toronto.  Readers are also launched into the world without explanation, which can make it difficult to figure out what is going on for the first half of the book. The story can be even more confusing as it is told in patchworks. Outside of Matthew’s main storyline, the narratives of other characters are interwoven into the book, so not all events are chronological.Above has a good premise that will appeal to the right group of young adults, but with the difficult writing level and the lack of setup, some of the target audience might lose interest before finishing the novel. It is worth nothing that some of the content deals with difficult topics, including mental illness, abuse, disability, poverty, gender-identification, people of different and mixed ethnicities, experimentation on people, and death.Recommended with Reservations: 2 out of 4 starsReviewer: Colette LeungColette Leung is a graduate student at the University of Alberta, working in the fields of Library and Information science and Humanities Computing who loves reading, cats, and tea. The white good dispersion zinc aluminium oxide (ZAO) nanoparticles were efficiently prepared by solid phase synthesis method. The morphologies, structures, photoelectricity of the ZAO nanoparticles and the thermochemistry behavior of the precursor were analyzed by TEM, XRD, UV-vis and TG, etc. The phytotoxicity properties of the ZAO nanoparticles were researched for the first time. The results show that the ZAO nanoparticles have a strong inhibition of seed germination and root growth. The biological toxicity of ZAO nanoparticle reduces along with the enlargement of nanoparticle size.

In view of the growing importance of marketing, there is a need to measure the degree of market competition for analysing strategic advantage. The need for such a measure can also be felt for categorizing the market structure for the usage of market theories in a real life situation. To meet these above-mentioned needs, the present note proposes three desiderata for a good measure for the degree of market competition. Further, one measure, based on the concept of entropy, has been proposed which makes use of market share vector. It also examines the suitability of the proposed measure in meeting the desiderata. A case study has a1so been carried out, covering two white good items, to demonstrate the applicability of the suggested procedure for market categorization.
