Abstract Three-axis gravity stabilization of 3U CubeSat is achieved due to selection of the nanosatellite moments of inertia at the design stage, as well as special modes included in the algorithm to provide stabilization of CubeSat relative to each motion channel separately. In this paper, we propose a modified algorithm based on the magnetic stabilization algorithm B-dot. The modified algorithm provides three modes intended to damp the initial angular velocity to the value of the orbital angular velocity, to keep the angular velocity at a value close to that of the orbital angular velocity, and to provide the nanosatellite gravitational triaxial stabilization by using one magnetic coil located on the axis with the transversal moment of inertia, which is possible due to the small angle between the magnetic field line and the satellite's trajectory. We propose two modifications for forming a control loop for orientation and stabilization of the 3U CubeSat: the first one uses measurements from magnetometers and angular rate sensors as feedback, and the second one, only magnetometers. The efficiency of the two modifications of modifications was studied by means of statistical modeling.

Abstract X-ray Free Electron Lasers provide femtosecond X-ray pulses with narrow bandwidth and unprecedented peak brightness. Special modes of operation have been developed to deliver double pulses for X-ray pump, X-ray probe experiments. However, the longest delay between the two pulses achieved with existing single bucket methods is less than 1 picosecond, thus preventing exploration of longer timescales dynamics. We present a novel Two-bucket scheme covering delays from 350 picoseconds to hundreds of nanoseconds in discrete steps of 350 picoseconds. Performance for each pulse can be similar to the one in single pulse operation. The method has been experimentally tested with LCLS-I and LCLS-II hard x-ray undulators.

For a significant number of researchers, the theoretical and methodological prerequisite for the analysis of biocapitalism is the "local knowledge" model. It is characterized by the fact that the research position is ethically loaded: the only possible way to talk about various forms of capital is associated with the need to give the floor to representatives of social groups subjected to discrimination and exploitation. This requirement leads to the elimination of biocapital as a research problem, its transformation into a non-object. Such disregard for biocapital leads to the impossibility of an adequate assessment of the risks associated with the development of biotechnologies. An important step towards the creation of a theory of biocapitalism is the appeal to the concept of "theoretical anti-humanism" proposed by Louis Althusser. Based on this methodological principle, biocapitalism should be considered as a set of non-objective processes based on the movement of value, whose continuity is rooted in the special modes of functioning of biotechnologies. One aspect of biotechnologies is their ability to create, modify, and control "local times" i.e., the flow rates of various processes. These opportunities become a source of profit for bio-capital. Explication of the conditions of such capital work shows that any biotechnological innovation becomes what is called in the language of actor-network theory a "point of mandatory passage" – a point of connection of the interests of a set of heterogeneous actors. Each of the actors connects their own social expectations with the existence of the technology. Thus, the desire to use oocytes frozen in the biobank suggests the need to maintain the existing technoinfrastructure. Thus, the desynchronization that occurs when using biotechnologies is a way to preserve the available method of capital production, which leads to the idea that there is no alternative to biocapitalism.

The article presents the results of studying the process of electrolytic-plasma hardening of 0.34Cr-1Ni-Mo-Fe steel by surface hardening, as well as the results of the current-voltage characteristics of the cathodic electrolytic-plasma process depending on the composition of the electrolyte. Temperature-time and special modes of electrolytic-plasma hardening of steel 0.34Cr-1Ni-Mo-Fe were determined. The optimal composition of the electrolyte for electrolytic-plasma hardening has been determined, providing a relatively high heating rate and high hardness of the steel surface. It has been determined that after the electrolytic-plasma hardening, the microhardness of 34KhN1M steel increases 2.9 times due to the formation of fine martensite. In this case, the basis of the material does not change, it consists of a ferrite-pearlite structure.
