The purposes of this study are to shed light on postgraduate education in Music Teaching and draw inferences about the future by evaluating the Music Teaching Postgraduate Program in Dokuz Eylul University Institute of Educational Sciences. The research is a qualitative study modelled with a single-case embedded study. In accordance with the interlocking single case pattern, the Music Education graduate program was examined by focusing on student, graduate, faculty member, theses. The opinions of 10 students, 23 graduates and 6 faculty members were taken to evaluate the program, and 57 master’s and 20 doctoral theses were examined. As a result of the content analysis, opinions were collected under four main categories. These categories are defined as “institutional goals”, “content”, “program outputs” and “updates”. In the category of program outcomes, the theses were evaluated according to various categories and the professional orientations of the graduates were statistically shared. According to the results of the research, the following conclusions were made: students should be informed at the beginning of the program in order to understand the vision and mission of the institution and to make the process they spent in the education process meaningful; A “scientific research in music education” course should be added to the program in order to conduct qualified research in the field of music education; subjects and research groups in theses should be diversified; faculty members should be role models in preparing thesis and academic studies for their advisors; graduate programs should be updated according to the needs of the time and society.

Abstract: The search for ways of teaching and learning in music point each day to models that are far from the conservative model (PENNA; SOBREIRA, 2020). Among the new approaches proposed, cognitive self-management stands out, an attitude related to self-regulation of learning. This literature review, carried out from July 2018 to July 2019, aimed to search the available literature for research that identify Self-Regulation Learning behaviors in music students in Basic and Higher Education. Works in the last 10 years focused on music teaching and self-regulation learning strategies were analyzed. The results found indicate the self-regulated behaviors of students and demonstrate that self-regulated learners tend to better develop their knowledge acquisition activities and those who do not have this profile can develop it based on the adoption of teaching practices proposed by the teacher that encourage attitudes and self-regulatory strategies. Keywords: Self-regulation; teaching; learning; musical education.

In order to improve the effect of modern music teaching, this paper combines AI technology to construct a multimedia-assisted music teaching system, combines music teaching data processing requirements to improve the algorithm, proposes appropriate music data filtering algorithms, and performs appropriate data compression processing. Moreover, the functional structure analysis of the intelligent music teaching system is carried out with the support of the improved algorithm, and the three-tier framework technology that is currently more widely used is used in the music multimedia teaching system. Finally, in order to realize the complex functions of the system, the system adopts a layered approach. From the experimental research results, it can be seen that the multimedia-assisted music teaching system based on AI technology proposed in this paper can effectively improve the effect of modern music teaching.

With the continuous improvement of the global economic level and scientific level, information technology has penetrated into all fields of people’s life. Today, the strategy of vigorously promoting educational modernization has created conditions for intelligent music teaching and promoted the in-depth application of artificial intelligence technology in education. Intelligent instructional design supported by artificial intelligence technology is the deep integration of information technology and music teaching. Through the intelligent perception technology, learning analysis technology, and emotional computing technology of artificial intelligence, an intelligent music teaching model is established. The online learning and education platform based on big data intelligence provides teachers with rich teaching methods, provides personalized evaluation and adaptive learning services for students’ learning, and helps improve the efficiency of music teaching. The traditional teaching design model cannot effectively guide the intelligent music teaching and cannot meet the needs of students’ development. Therefore, on the basis of previous studies, the author studies the intelligent teaching design supported by artificial intelligence technology. This study uses new generation information technologies such as big data, Internet of things, mobile Internet, and artificial intelligence to build a complete set of scientific intelligent music teaching design model. Wisdom teaching provides a reference for the whole process before, during, and after class, helps guide teachers to better carry out wisdom teaching, helps students explore cooperative and autonomous learning, and promotes the wisdom transformation of teaching methods and learning methods to a certain extent. Music classroom teaching has become more targeted and effective. Therefore, it is of great significance to cultivate intelligent music talents.

Visual teaching is a teaching method or teaching tool that presents a clearer and more intuitive image of music works to students. Drawing on the theory of brainstorming, this paper explores the application of brainstorming, a brain stimulation method, in visual teaching of music. The main results are as follows: visual music teaching mainly improves music skills, cultivates music aesthetics, and enhances communicative competence. Once introduced to music class, the creative thinking method of brainstorming enables the teacher to train the divergent and creative thinking of students. During music teaching, brainstorming stimulates the learning interest, boosts the learning confidence, and cultivates the independent thinking of students. The research findings lay a theoretical basis for music course reform.
