Every City in India as well as other countries are moving towards the concept of Smart Cities. Increase in population is directly proportional to the increase in traffic and almost all cities are densely populated. This paper provides a novel approach of identifying the vehicles and appropriately redirecting them to parking slots This Proactive Car Parking System framework encompasses IOT module that is applied to screen and signalize the condition of accessibility of single parking spot. In addition to this it signals in case of empty slot and hence the driver of the vehicle need not waste time in searching the slot. The status on availability of parking is informed in advance and this in turn helps to avoid traffic. The IR sensor with Arduino is used for identifying slots. The proposed system is an embedded system where internet, Sensors, detection of objects and algorithms are used.

Abstract This article presents a linguistic account explaining particular mechanisms underlying the generation of expectations at the discourse level. We further develop a linguistic theory – the Empty Slot Theory – explaining the phenomenon of implicit verb causality. According to our proposal, implicit causality (IC) verbs introduce lexically determined slots for causal content of specific types. If the required information is not derivable from the current or preceding context, IC verbs generate the expectation that these slots will be filled in the upcoming discourse. The cognitive mechanism underlying the bias is grounded in the general processing strategy of avoiding accommodation. Empirical evidence for the proposed theory is provided in three continuation experiments in German with comprehensive semantic annotation of the continuations provided by the participants. The reported experiments consistently show that IC bias can be manipulated in systematic ways. Experiment 1 demonstrates important ontological constraints on causal content crucial for our theory. Experiments 2 and 3 show how IC biases can be manipulated in predictable ways by filling the hypothesized slots in the prompt. Experiment 2 illustrates that stimulus-experiencer (experiencer-object) verbs in contrast to causative agent-patient verbs can be manipulated with respect to coherence and coreference by employing adverbial modification. Filling the lexically determined slot of psychological verbs resulted in predictable changes in coherence relations and types of explanations, resulting in the predicted effects on coreference. Experiment 3 extends the empirical investigations to so-called “agent-evocator” verbs. Again, filling the semantic slot as part of the prompt resulted in predictable shifts in coherence relations and explanation types with transparent effects on coreference. The reported experiments shed further light on the close correspondence between coherence and coreference as a hallmark of natural language discourse.

The phenomenon of the need to complement the daily activities of urban communities in an area need to be responded to in a design strategy that can resolve various kinds of conflicts. This is happening in Jakarta where there were still problems with the lack of public space facilities that not reach the residential area. The issue that the region has its characteristics that also raises a variety of activities in addition to daily routine activities in the form of a variety of entertainment activities, commerce, and even some activities accommodate various events. The purpose of this study is to raise public space as a unifying space or transition from routine home (first place) and work (second place). Cross, trans, and dis programming methods are used by not eliminating or changing things that are already characteristic of the region, by studying activities that might be reactivated and then simulated, hypothetically Pasar Baru can play a role in realizing physical identity as the old city to continue to live and be sustainable. The step used is to insert certain events in an empty slot in a year with the program insertion method. The findings are that program events can continue to be connected at all times through embedded programs. The results of this third place project show that architecture can contribute to the development of the program.

With the increase in usage and availability of vehicles, finding an empty parking slot becoming very difficult in many public areas. So there is a requirement for a device that identifies empty slots in a parking place and also keeps the track of vehicles which are already parked very expertly. This task reduces human activity on the parking location in searching of empty slots and scheming the payment based on the timestamp i.e. how much time the vehicle is parked at the particular slot based on the use of parking place with the resource of money pockets. Some of the steps included in this functioning are vehicle identification, detection of empty slot and scheming of amount based on the time duration of parking. Vehicle identification is achieved with the use of RFID Tag, slot detection is also shown and amount calculation is done on the duration of parking. Here we are connecting all of the sensors to Raspberry pi to stumble on RFID Tag and deduct the charge from the cash wallet.

Smart Parking (SP) is one of many technologies to be implemented in order to enhance the infrastructure of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). All objects and devices at the parking lot will become entities. They are integrated and embedded into electronic devices that will form the Internet of Things (IoT). Smart Parking (SP) will be able to make parking arrangements and management in real time. The academic community will be able to find an empty parking space (slot) because of the parking location with intelligent systems, cameras and sensor devices in front of the gate or in the parking lot. Using this technology, the academic community may request the services as well as automatically informed will be notified of an empty slot.

At present time, the people who use vehicles on the campus is increasing. It makes more difficult to find an empty slot parking area on the campus. This study aims to develop a system parking reservation and monitoring on-campus area using NFC and IoT concept. NFC was used to confirm booking code that generated by the system. In the parking area, ultrasonic sensors were installed to detect parking space availability. IoT concept has been applied to build this system. Apps on users smartphone can do the reservation process to the desired parking location via internet. Black box testing was done by building a prototype using the number of data locations parking slots in the Andalas University. The test results showed that this system has been able to detect the location of vacant parking slots and do reservations with time for sending data to the server is 0.7952 sec.

Kata kunci: Proses punaran, permukaan "Micromachining", wafer silicon, pembuangan silicon wafer, kekasaran permukaan wafer silikon Etching process involves various chemical reactions and reflects significantly on the silicon wafer quality. The paper addresses the major problem on wafers during etching that is wafer removal distribution throughout etching drum compartment. The etchant used in this study were the composition of HNO3, HF, and CH3COOH. The etching drum has been redesigned to overcome the lower removal problem at the end of each compartment and to reduce the big disparity in wafer removal distribution. The proposed idea is to install a piece of "circumferential acid resistant PVC wafer" for the remaining empty slot (empty area without wafers) at each end of a compartment. The permanent PVC piece with certain gap at each end is then fabricated for the new drum design. The characteristics of the end wafers are compared with other wafers in the compartment to study the etching difference that leads to this problem. Surface morphology and surface roughness parameters (arithmetic roughness mean; Ra and surface skewness [roughness root mean square]; Rms) using atomic force microscopy (AFM) comparison between old drum design (big wafer gap) and new drum design (smaller gap with additional PVC chip) had been analyzed. The uniformity without lower removal problem at the end compartment is observed in removal distribution graph. Key words: Etching process; surface micromachining; silicon wafer; etching removal; silicon wafer surface roughness
