The article considers the information modeling of buildings together with the foundation within the information system and the stages of its implementation. The workflow for building a 3D geotechnical model includes surface relief data, field and laboratory test data, soil lithology, geometric characteristics of the foundation structure and load. Automated systems with processing and interpretation of test data are used to determine the characteristics of soils. Mathematical modeling of the behavior of the foundations of the foundations with various input data is performed using analytical solutions and numerical methods. The natural heterogeneity of soil properties and its impact on the behavior of buildings is estimated by the sensitivity indicator of the foundation-foundation system by introducing virtual workings between the existing normative ones and the subsequent calculation of the precipitation and roll of the foundation.

Bayon temple, built in the latter half of the 12th century, is one representative temple of the Angkor monuments. To shed light on the foundation structure of the central towers that stand on the elevated terrace, archaeological excavation and boring tests were conducted. Based on these surveys, a unique foundation structure was revealed under the central towers. It was confirmed that there is no laterite or sandstone support structure directly beneath the upper structure, and that there is only compacted soil at a thickness of approximately 16 m above the natural sedimentary soil. On the other hand, a laterite masonry 6 m thick and 7–9 m wide was confirmed from around the compacted soil. In other words, the heavy load of the central towers is supported by compacted soil that is constrained from the sides by a laterite structure. In addition, the boring surveys provided new insights into the low structural property of the backfilled soil after the past excavation survey below the central tower and the extension process of the elevated terrace supporting the central towers. Delivered information about the foundation structure and material of central towers, including soil property, water table, water contents, and bearing capacity will be valuable for the future structural assessment of this temple.

With the growth of occupation and technological developments, the shape of the building has also changed over time. Changes in the shape of the building bring the need for strength to certain styles and changing moments. Therefore, the foundation as the lower part of the structure as well as the support for the building must be able to withstand the forces that occur. Precast pile foundation is one type of deep foundation that is commonly used today. However, because the foundation is casted outside the field, there is a length limit on the foundation due to transportation, and so on. The foundation connection is a means of unifying precast piles to achieve the desired piling depth. Planning of pile foundation joints is necessary because some types of joints have a reduction in strength that allows failure of the foundation structure. The selection of the right type of connection can result in an efficiency of the needs at a cost. Therefore, the step of determining the type of precast pile connection should be emphasized more to the project development parties.

The objective of this study is to explore the conditions and direction that should be closely reviewed in the process of reorganizing the curriculum for general education. In particular, this study concentrated on the establishment of a detailed execution plan and the macroscopic direction of general education. It did so by exploring the practical logic and theoretical perspective for reorganizing the curriculum for general education when the accountability of general education is to be emphasized. For this, this study explored the theoretical background for the reorganization of the curriculum focusing on the foundation, structure, and contents of the curriculum for general education. It also diagnosed some domestic and foreign cases of reorganizing the curriculum for general education, and the curriculum for general education of I university in regards to its foundation, structure, and contents. It then secured the argument for the validity of the reorganization of the curriculum for general education of I university focusing on the results drawn through both the theoretical and case research. This study established the goal and objectives found in the general education of I university regarding the foundation of its curriculum for general education, and attempted the reorganization of basic and core general education when it came to its structure and its contents. In conclusion, this study presented the professors’ responsible educational activities, the administrative support for the qualitative improvement of general education, and the establishment of the evaluation system of the curriculum for general education. Having done so, we have pointed out the measures we need to take in order to offer a more stable and settled general education curriculum.
