The article introduces into scientific discourse, and examines a number of M.V. Dobuzhinsky’s works: it traces the process of working on them, identifies their sources (literary and visual), analyzes the stylistic features and the specifics of the graphic techniques. These tasks are performed within the context of interaction between literature and fine arts. This topic is relevant because M.V. Dobuzhinsky’s illustrations to the stories “Stationmaster” and “Squire’s Daughter”, the play “Covetous Knight”, and the poem “Magnificent City, Poor City...” by A.S. Pushkin are studied as works of fine art for the first time. The scientific novelty of the article lies in the fact that it introduces an experience of defining the stylistic affiliation of the said works, and reveals a number of their visual sources. The author uses the method of complex analysis, combining the source analysis of M. Dobuzhinsky’s memoirs and his letters, the works of the artist’s contemporaries devoted to the Russian art of the beginning of the 20th century, and the traditional formal analysis of his works in comparison with those of Rembrandt, A. Benois, A. Dürer, F. Tolstoy, Japanese engravings of the 18th — beginning of the 19th century. This allows a significant expansion of existing ideas about visual and literary sources of the artist’s works. The article reveals that Rembrandt’s etching “View of Amsterdam from the Northwest” influenced the artistic solution of the illustration “In the Carriage” for the story “Stationmaster”; Hiroshige’s sheets influenced the illustration “Vyrin at the Entrance of Minsky’s House” for the same story. A. Dürer’s woodcuts influenced the solution of the illustration “Scene 1” for the play “Covetous Knight”; F. Tolstoy’s silhouettes influenced the vignettes and the artistic solution of the illustrations and decorations for the story “Squire’s Daughter”. The article also finds that H.Ch. Andersen’s tales “The Old House” and “The Old Street Lamp” had predetermined M. Dobuzhinsky’s appeal to the story “Stationmaster”, and the graphic solution of St. Petersburg in the picture “View of the St. Petersburg House”. The author concludes that M. Dobuzhinsky’s illustrating of Pushkin’s works was in line with his intense creative experiments: searching for a new solution to the image of St. Petersburg in book graphics, rethinking and “quoting” the masters of the past.

The article analyzes modern Ukrainian alphabets of leading publishing houses. The focus is on artistic decision making, the general concept of the abbey. The emphasis is placed on the importance of abecting in the teaching of the child. It is noted that with the development of modern technology appear interactive digital books, whose purpose is to help in teaching children. Due to this, ordinary, paper developing books have to withstand high competition, and one of the most important ways to defend their niche in the market is an interesting and original concept and high quality graphic, illustrative presentation of the material.

A partir da visualização de dados, o trabalho visa a criação de uma solução gráfica capaz de revelar espacialidades, inter-relações e dinâmicas socio ambientais, levantando discussões acerca dos principais aspectos que influenciam na localização dos parques na cidade.+++++This paper aims to present the development of a data visualization about a research on the spatial distribution of public parks in the city of Rio de Janeiro. It is an interdisciplinary work in the interface between Visual Communication, Urbanism and Landscape Architecture. Based on data visualization, the work aims to create a graphic solution able of revealing spatialities, social relationships and dynamics, raising discussions about the main aspects that influence park location within the city.

The actives surfaces of screw compressors are helical surfaces, cylindrical and uniform pitch. The generation of helical surfaces can be done using tools bordered by revolution surfaces (as end mill cutter, or disk cutter). The shaping of generating tools is based on fundamentals theorem of the enveloping surfaces. This paper consists to propose a graphic solution, using specific tools of the design environment AUTOCAD, to problem concerning the shaping end mill tool which generates the helical flute of male rotor component of screw compressor. The algorithm has been developed based on a complementary theorem - "The theorem of substituting circles family".

Solving efficiency of CCHP (Combined-Cooling, Heating and Power) system operation optimization by Linear programming (LP) is very important. The graphic solution is introduced to improve the solving efficiency, and the result of numeric study shows that the calculation efficiency is increased by 53.2 times faster than conventional loop method. Comparison study on several schemes for hotel, office building and shopping mall with different PGU capacity (PGUcap) was taken, with the increasing of PGUcap, annual energy charge (AEC) decreases and pay back period (PBP) gets longer. Hotel has the shortest pay-back period (PBP) in the three buildings. Finally, the influence of gas price on system economic in the three buildings was analyzed.

In this article, the one time rotation of a body of revolution to the designated position under any conditions is studied, especially when the rotating front and rear of a body of revolution are on different planes, in which case, descriptive geometry graphic solution is employed to solve the rotation axis and rotation angle. Compared with other methods, this method is simpler and more visible. The solution of the problem will greatly contribute to the simplification of production processes, thus lowering product costs and improving economic benefits.
