ABSTRACTThis study focuses on consumer interest in the 8 best iPhone recommendations in 2021. Smartphone products issued by Apple Inc., which include the dimensions of the best iPhone. In this study, the smartphone product is not only seen as a product but also a brand, so that consumer interest becomes important in shaping the smartphone brand image. iPhone is a smartphone product that was first developed by the leader of the Apple Computer company, Steven Paul Jobs. a leader with a name identical to himself. This research uses qualitative research with descriptive research type. This research method is a case study of the best recommended iPhone 8 product in 2021. In collecting data, the researchers conducted an analysis of video comments to video views on youtube. Some of the theories used in this study include the dimensions of the smartphone brand, consumer interest, and several other relevant theories. Based on the results of the analysis, the researchers found that each informant had various perceptions of the dimensions of the smartphone brand as seen from the attributes of Apple products. Differences in perception occur because of differences in experience and background interests, habits, and other things from the informants who play a role in this perception process. Even so, the perception of informants who are iPhone consumers does not necessarily show the image of the iPhone product as a whole, because this study does not aim to generalize consumer perceptions.

This paper argues that the use of backdoors in software is inherently counterproductive and leads to invasion of privacy, either by federal or state governments or by intrusive hackers. The essay outlines encryption’s nature, pointing out that a software backdoor is a secret means of ignoring data authentication. Several examples of known backdoors known to terrorists, criminals, and governments alike are highlighted. Arguments in favor and opposing backdoors are provided, where the Apple Computer, Inc. v. FBI controversy is discussed. Finally, the balancing of harms test as proposed by John Stuart Mill is introduced, where the article concludes that when balancing the opposing positions, the scale tips toward data encryption because an innocent party would suffer the most harm from the existence of a software backdoor.

The human blood coagulation cascade had been extensively researched from a biochemistry and molecular perspective. The purpose of this manuscript is to introduce a biophysical phenomenon detected via optical microscopy at the end of the human blood coagulation cascade. This could be described as a sudden energy event in the form of light radiation observed once blood tissue movement stops being attracted to metal iron filings or carbon based graphite particles used as sentinels. Upon close examination of video recordings, the sudden movements of iron particles images coincided with light at the end of the coagulation cascade. A literature search confirmed that both metal filings and graphite particles to possess excellent electrical conductivity. A biophysical light radiation event discharge is hypothesized as result of a burst in the conversion of fibrinogen to fibrin signaling the end of a coagulation cycle; perhaps combined with a piezoelectric effect induced by a sudden clumping of RBCs, or from the optical absorption or water. Method: Metal iron filings or graphite particles were randomly sprinkled on fresh TIBS preparations. The sample was then readily focused and selected particles chosen for video analysis. Equipment used was a video microscope Celestron Model # 44348, glass slides and author’s blood drops. The data was digitally transferred and stored in an Apple computer photo application for further review. Results: When metal iron filings or graphite particles were sprinkled on freshly prepared TIBS slides, video analysis show light radiation emitted at the end of the blood coagulation cascade. Discussion: Since the light radiation emission occurred at the end of the blood coagulation cycle, it is theorized that blood tissue compression could induce piezoelectricity coinciding with energy released by a fibrin burst, or by the optical absorption of water.

Significance: Several educational technological innovations are developed with the purpose of contributing to the training of future optometrists and ophthalmologists. However, very little is available for teaching refractometry. EYE REFRACTION is a simulator mobile applications (App) that works as a fast, straightforward and interactive interface tool for teaching refractometry. Purpose: Develop novel mobile application software (EYE REFRACTION) as a tool for teaching refractometry in medical schools. Methods: EYE REFRACTION software was developed by the emerging company “Ciência Ilustrada studio” incubated at “INOVA Metrópole” of the Digital Metropolis Institute of the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil (IMD-UFRN), using the XCode 4.6.2. program (Apple Computer, Inc. Cupertino, CA, USA). This application software (App) was created for Tablets and has a fully interactive workspace, where after inserting the refraction data of the patient, the user can observe points or focal lines of the refractive errors and all the arrangements resulting from the various possible corrections. Results: After 90 days of blind and random simulations of the EYE REFRACTION App performed by volunteered ophthalmologists, six failures were detected and promptly corrected. Two were detected when refractive errors were simulated (simple myopic astigmatism), two during simulations of hypermetropic astigmatism, being one simple and the other compound, and two others during the simulation of mixed astigmatism. Conclusion: A novel App for teaching refractometry was successfully developed, where it enabled a real-time observation of refractive errors and their arrangements. The EYE REFRACTION App is currently available at Apple App Store.

A product manager at Apple examines the past, present, and future of the PC industry in September 2011 in the wake of Steve Jobs's resignation and HP's announcement that it was exiting the PC industry in favor of enterprise software solutions and consulting. The protagonist thinks through current forces in the PC industry, including market share trends, mobile computing, ultrabooks, and cloud computing services—as well as the position of the Mac in Apple's product portfolio—and is faced with making a decision about the future of the Mac.

Focuses on Apple Computer's launch of iTunes and iPod as a way to give Wintel users a relationship with Apple. Deals with issues of brand equity, corporate and brand goal setting, target selection, and matching product and service characteristics with goals and targets. Also allows for a discussion of channel partners, their interests, and their impact on the likely success or failure of a strategy.

By the mid-1970s, Jerry Rubin—icon of American radicalism and cofounder of the Yippies, who campaigned in 1968 to elect a pig as president of the United States and appeared before the House Un-American Activities Committee dressed in an eighteenth-century Revolutionary War uniform—had transformed himself from protester to successful businessman. He launched a new career on Wall Street as a stockbroker, became known for his promotion of “networking,” bringing together yuppies at parties in Manhattan, and was an early investor in Apple Computer. For a long time, both in public memory and in many historical accounts, Rubin's conversion embodied the path of an entire generation of leftists who hastily shifted from the ideological craze of 1968–1970 to the disillusionment of the so-called “me decade.”
