Abstract A new type of array pulsating cold section heat pipe was proposed, which consists of a T-shaped hot section and an array pulsating cold section. The special structure is available to drain the hot section of the heat pipe, and the installation method of the cold section has an important influence on heat transfer. For this reason, a detailed experimental study of heat transfer performance was carried out in this paper. It was found in the study that a capillary lifting force exists at the outlet of the cold section channel, which prevents the condensate from returning to the hot section, therefore, the hot section has to be drained; the drainage methods are divided into hot-section liquid drainage and hot-section capillary drainage, the latter is significantly better than the former; appropriate increase of the filling rate can improve the drainage effect of liquid drainage. The new heat pipe can adopt two methods, i.e., inclined cold section and vertical cold section. The reflux and heat transfer performance of the inclined cold section outperforms that of the vertical cold section, but the difference between the two methods gradually decreases with the increase of power. Under the same working conditions, the average temperature of the heat source of the new stainless steel heat pipe with the capillary drainage vertical cold section is lower than that of the aluminum fin radiator by 5.79%-10.78%, and the decreasing amplitude increases with the increase of the heating power.

AbstractAfter more than 20 years of continuous development, part of the wells in the Moxilei-1 gas reservoir located at the Sichuan Basin have entered the middle–later production stage. With the continuous decline in formation pressure and production rates, some of the gas wells have entered the potential period of liquid loading, while some have already suffered water plugging. Currently, the field engineers usually carry out some corresponding drainage measures after the occurrence of liquid loading in the gas well, which will first affect the production progress of the gas field, then increase the difficulty in drainage and reduce the drainage effect afterward. On the basis of Pan’s model for evaluating critical liquid-carrying flow rate, the influence of liquid drop rotation was considered in the new model. Further, combined with the Arps production decline equation, a prediction model of liquid loading timing was deduced. Taking a typical well in the Moxilei-1 gas reservoir as an example, based on the early-stage production data of the gas well, the model was used to predict the liquid loading timing accurately. The model can predict the possibility and timing of liquid loading in gas wells at different production stages. It can check the gas wells with potential liquid loading, so as to reduce the workload for field workers. Furthermore, it can predict the potential liquid accumulation and its timing in advance, so as to guide the field workers to prepare for drainage in advance.

Abstract The prevention of gas overrun in the panel is one of the key issues on green mining. In this paper, a physical goaf model was established based on the geological production conditions of a coal seam in a coal mine in Henan Province, and the combined drainage technology by burying and spilling pipeline in the upper corner was proposed. The Fluent software was used to simulate the changes of gas mass fraction and flow field distribution when the gas is extracted from the goaf without the gas pipeline, with a single buried pipeline, and with the combination of buried and spilled pipelines. Analysis and simulation showed that in the absence of drainage pipelines, the gas concentrations in both the return airway and the upper corner are up to 1.2%, which failed to meet the gas prevention and control standard on the mine. In the case of gas drainage with a single buried pipeline, the average gas concentration in the return airway was 0.7%, and only the gas concentration in the upper corner was up to 1.1%, which failed to meet the gas control standards on the mine’s panel. However, the maximum gas concentration in the combined drainage was reduced from 1.1% to 0.6%, which indicates that the technology can greatly reduce gas concentration, but there is still a gap from the mine’s gas control standard. Therefore, the impacts of the lengths of pipelines buried in different goafs on the gas drainage effect in the goaf were studied, and it was concluded that the reasonable length of pipelines buried in the goaf under the geological conditions was 20 m. This technology not only solves the problem of gas overrun in the panel but also realizes the utilization of gas resources in the goaf. The research results are of guiding significance for pipeline laying and the drainage technology in the upper corners on the U-shaped ventilation panel.

Abstract Coal seams are generally characterized by high pressure, low permeability, and strong adsorption in China. Moreover, carbon dioxide phase transition blasting (CDPTB) is an effective way to achieve pressure relief and permeability enhancement in high-gas pressure coal seams. Multiple fractures can be created in the coal body by CDPTB due to its characteristics of having a great impact stress and high energy efficiency. To determine the dual characteristics of coal fracturing and seepage after CDPTB, this paper developed a fluid solid coupling programme based on CDPTB cracking and permeability enhancement, which unifies the fracture and seepage of CDPTB. FLAC was used to determine the distribution characteristics of the stresses and fractures caused by CDPTB. The results showed fracture propagation from the initial fracture to multiple additional fractures or the main fractures over time. Then, the fractures were introduced into COMSOL software to simulate the characteristics of the gas flow field. The main fracture forms an effective channel for gas flow, which greatly reduces the gas pressure in coal. The successful application of CDPTB in the field induced the increase in the gas drainage effect by 10-20 times.

In seasonal frozen soil area, the engineering problems caused by the excessive moisture content of the subgrade soil are widespread. In view of this phenomenon, author proposes to employ a new type of research and development of the seepage drainage geogrid (SDG) to cool and drain the soil. Through indoor model test, after two freeze-thaw cycles, the experimental comparison of the size and laying method of various SDG was carried out. The test result shows that the model with a natural grit layer has the most drainage effect. While, the model contains two layers of interconnected grilles has the best cooling effect. The indoor model test is simulated by accurate numerical simulation. The simulation results are compared with the indoor test results. The fitting results of the two results are very high, which provides theoretical support and data guarantee for the application of seepage drainage grille to strengthen the roadbed in the cold road.

Gas drainage through long seam boreholes is an effective method to prevent gas disasters in coal mines. In this paper, a multifield coupling model of gas migration in gas-bearing coal was first established. Then, a quantitative characterization method of gas drainage effect was put forward. Finally, the extraction effect of long boreholes was obtained under different layouts and drilling lengths. The research results show that, under the arrangement of long boreholes along the seam, the gas pressure around the borehole decreases significantly with the extraction time. There is no extraction blank in the middle of the working face. However, it is easy to cause uneven gas drainage in the combined arrangement of the long boreholes along the seam and the penetrating boreholes. Furthermore, it is found that the drainage volume of the long boreholes along the seam is similar to that of the joint layout under the same drainage time. As the length of the borehole increases, the influencing range of gas drainage increases. When the borehole lengths are 150 m and 240 m, the drainage volumes are about 1.31 and 2.50 times that of the 90 m boreholes, respectively. The research achievements could provide a specific reference for the layout of long boreholes along the bedding and the determination of reasonable parameters for gas drainage on site.

This study mainly examines the different effects and mechanisms of news feed advertising (vs. traditional display advertising) on advertising attitude and brand attitude by using an observational experiment that categorized participants based on their past experiences. By analyzing the video advertising of the “Li Ning” brand, three conclusion were drawn. First, compared with traditional display advertising, news feed advertising led to more positive advertising attitude and brand attitude. Second, generation and transmission mechanism of attitudes were applicable to the interpretation rules of the classical information processing process model, which showed that the information processing process of the news feed advertising and the traditional display advertising were consistent. Third, consumer’s brand experience did not affect the direct effects of “attention” on “memory,” but affected the mediate role of “interpretation,” which showed that news feed advertising may have a stronger “drainage” effect when promoting new products and developing new markets. However, if the consumer’s experience is not enhanced, the brand attitude triggered by news feed advertising will still not be stable. These findings are conducive to further understanding the effect of news feed advertising on advertising attitude and brand attitude.

AbstractHabitat fragmentation and eutrophication have strong impacts on biodiversity. Metacommunity research demonstrated that reduction in landscape connectivity may cause biodiversity loss in fragmented landscapes. Food-web research addressed how eutrophication can cause local biodiversity declines. However, there is very limited understanding of their cumulative impacts as they could amplify or cancel each other. Our simulations of meta-food-webs show that dispersal and trophic processes interact through two complementary mechanisms. First, the ‘rescue effect’ maintains local biodiversity by rapid recolonization after a local crash in population densities. Second, the ‘drainage effect’ stabilizes biodiversity by preventing overshooting of population densities on eutrophic patches. In complex food webs on large spatial networks of habitat patches, these effects yield systematically higher biodiversity in heterogeneous than in homogeneous landscapes. Our meta-food-web approach reveals a strong interaction between habitat fragmentation and eutrophication and provides a mechanistic explanation of how landscape heterogeneity promotes biodiversity.
